  1. I think what’s bothered me most about this game is how little I care about it. 2-0 up at home to Luton and we throw it away due to the incompetence of the manager. I should still be annoyed now absolutely climbing the walls at the time but I almost gave a Mowbray style shrug of the shoulders. I hope one day I’ll regain my rovers passion but it’ll never happen under this lot of circus clowns.
  2. Let me contain my amazement. He’s gone for global McCricket. Sold his soul that lad. I’m very much looking forward to seeing Jimmy and Jos playing for Lancs tomorrow now England aren’t playing. 😂. Sure the ECB will let them play.
  3. I’m no fan but at least he called out the Mowbray/fan boy myth about our budget by saying it how it is. Even if it was totally self serving from him almost making excuses pre match (straight from the moggasurus playbook) the reality is we do have a big budget in this division compared to a lot of sides. The fact we do nothing with it is another issue.
  4. Chile must be a tin pot side if they’re bitching about an average championship player not being able to turn out for them. The fact is he’s a rovers player and we pay his wages, and in covid times if he has to isolate for 14 days (potentially both legs of the journey) and effectively misses a month of football the Chilean fa can go fuck themselves. Lets call a spade a spade in spite of his mother’s nationality he’s not Chilean, he obviously qualifies to play for them but I’d be astonished if he’s ever considered himself to be Chilean or given his mother’s nationality a seconds thought until recently. It’s as barmy as KP playing for England when he was clearly South African, again in spite of an English parent or grandparent.
  5. That is 100% correct as far as I’m concerned. I know a bloke who’s quite well in with nob end and he told me Bauer said at rovers if he bided his time he might get in ahead of Williams. Can’t remember the exact quote but there was no reason for this bloke to lie to me. Or I suppose Bauer to him. * incidentally their star man. Or at least last time I spoke to him. Ironic given our struggles for centre halves.
  6. Anderson won’t play a test at OT again now. Also will go down as ‘abandoned’ so 2-1 series win.
  7. At least they’ve forfeited so a 2-2 series result. Root's greatest win. Will still be massively out of pocket with hotels, etc. Tickets will be refunded but Lancs are very incompetent. I’m still waiting for the Yorkshire money from early July. * Just said on sky India haven’t forfeited and it’s a no result. That sounds more likely for them as a side. I must admit I was highly skeptical over them forfeiting.
  8. Looks like the Indians want to get back to the IPL. 🙄
  9. Or someone who can speak English without a regional accent for a refreshing change. Seems mandatory on the tele these days. With the likes of Alex Scott and Beth Rigby who can’t pronounce g’s at the end of words and that cockney jabberer it’s a little much.
  10. “Would have taken a draw before the game.” Erm no it’s bloody Poland.
  11. So no test matches at old Trafford in 2022. 6 in total naturally 50% are in London.
  12. There can’t be many people in life who do less work for their £1000 a day.
  13. Where is maggot. No idea but on his salary I’d wager doing this
  14. Yeah. Saqib off injured. If it’s a side strain that’s him out for this game and the rest of the season. Hopefully not. If he is out of the game having started with only 3 bowlers and part timers that’s a worry.
  15. I’m not sure why it is on the scorecard and even names on their shirts some of the Indians go by the first names and some go by surnames - now, for example, umesh and bumrah in, first name and surname respectively. Think kholi has virat on his shirt but goes by kholi on the card and sharma goes by rohit on the card. Would be odd seeing bowling figures for Jimmy and joe batting.
  16. As for lancs when I saw that starting xi I feared it was very light in the bowling department and certainly seems that way with notts 162/2 in a day where there’s some very low scores in the championship.
  17. Looks like this game is going. I’m not sure England have got the mental strength to bat out 3 sessions as pathetic as that sounds. Plus whatever lose it have a 10 overs dart at England this evening.
  18. Revelation 13:18. “Here is wisdom. Let him who hath understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is 666.” I don’t think there’s any suggestion that Mowbray is the devil but it’s a noteworthy number page for a prediction. Any predictions for the page number he leaves on? Could make that happen in an afternoon. If it gets up to 1000 I’ll have given up any will to continue
  19. They had Bowyer out by November then the Pune Loons made their only decent appointment (on paper at least) but in true Venkys style then refused to back him.
  20. In the past I’d have clung on to this story (such as it is) with hope but after over a decade of Venkys I have learnt one thing. Nothing good ever happens at rovers. At best just a bit of rearranging the deckchairs on the titanic.
  21. Absolutely. People should feel free to express their opinion in all walks of life. No matter how stupid they are. But I stand by if people can’t see the destruction the Venkys and co have done and are doing over the last decade. They are either: 1 thick 2 ignorant 3 don’t care But I certainly don’t want anyone hounded out or insulted. By all means anyone out there who feels the Venkys et al have been great and don’t consider themselves thick, ignorant or ambivalent to rovers’ plight feel free to enlighten me?
  22. This is a very good point. Generally I think if people look at the last 10 years and think the owners have been good for rovers, waggott is going ok and Mowbray is solid then they’re either thick, don’t think about what’s happening to rovers or don’t care beyond filling 3-5 on a Saturday afternoon. But there probably is a solid swathe of fans who have grown up only knowing it’s shambles and merely want to support their local club as passionately as possible. 👏👏👏 to them I suppose. (That said I didn’t witness or have grown up after historical events such as an extreme example of Hitler to know they were an abomination). But to those of us of an age and level of intelligence to know better about the terminal decline of rovers and yet still peddle the everything is great line. FUCK YOU.
  23. But the rip off continues up here. Next Friday and Saturday at OT tickets are a fairly respectable £42. Out of curiosity I looked up hospitality: If it all sells out then fine. Supply and demand but a few years ago did the captains club one for the saffas. It was about £300 and probably had £100 worth of booze, a feed, a ticket with a nice vantage point and it was still hideously expensive for what it was. That is another level.
  24. Never expected a win in the capital. A couple of lads watch lancs (and England I suppose) have gone down to London today. £90 a ticket and nearly £7 a pint. Just a bog standard ticket as well.
