Cunningham, Tosin, lenihan, nyambe would have been a decent back 4 this season. Ifs and buts. The but there is bugger all to come in after it. Bell, Williams, mulgrew, Bennett, plus a few academy teenagers. ?.

When you have bell and bennett in a back 4 with a loanee centre half and no defenders on the bench that’s a shocking. Almost an unacceptable lack of defenders in the squad. Can’t be in a situation where losing one centre half makes 2 problems by moving the rb to cb forcing Bennett into the defence.
