Thought of a solution. Every time an Elliott Bennett fuck up leads to a goal or penalty he has to do a few hours hard labour maintaining the ground. A couple of months into the season the ground will be so clean you’ll be able to eat your dinner off the floor. Eventually he’ll owe that many hours of cleaning he won’t have time to play. Win win.

Agreed. It’s like someone said above the best way to maintain is to chip away at the small things before they add up to a big problem. Looks like rovers are happy to let the ground rot from the inside out before acting. Where we normally sit in the jw theres a hole in the roof so when it rains it drips on your head. Fortunately there’s a spare 20,000 seats to chose from but just another example of the ground falling into disrepair.

On the face of it it’s only weeds, litter and a shabby looking stadium. Not a big deal right. But for me these little old weeds are symptomatic of everything wrong at the club. The fact is no one based at ewood from Waggott to the cleaner thought what a bloody mess I’ll take the initiative with some weed killer and a broom. As most fans I know feel there’s no standards or pride at the club and that culture starts at very top in India. So although its only weeds and litter I think if we can’t get basic housekeeping right how can we get the bigger issues right. Of course history tells us we don’t.

Those are some appalling pictures. Makes me a tad angry if I’m honest. Surely someone at the club can buy some weed killer and a broom. It might be Covid and not being able to attend or the apathy I have for Rovers but I can’t recall a fixture list that I’ve been so underwhelmed with. Personally the only new grounds would be Wycombe and Bournemouth and can’t see away fans getting in next season even if fans generally are allowed in. Very few local matches. I appreciate not likely to get Barcelona or Bayern but theres no ahem “big clubs” of the leeds, Newcastle, villa mould. Added to that Tonebola. Disinterested disengaged owners. The prospect of being the next Bolton/bury. Struggling to get enthused about this one.

Pretty ordinary start to this test. In 7 of the last 9 series England have lost the first match and haven’t beaten Pakistan in the last 5 series. When the chips are down in my opinion is where roots captaincy is found wanting. After the plan A (presumably decided in the dressing room) fails we seem unable to change things. Had about an hour of letting them score in singles not really posing any threat in return. As for Buttler he was perfectly adequate behind the stumps vs the windies but reverted to type in this game. Hard to put a total on runs lost from drops, missed stumping and run outs but dropping masood on 40 didn’t help. He probably needs 200 to break even on his keeping prowess. If we keep lenihan, nyambe, Travis, Dack and Armstrong then get a keeper and decent centre half. 8th-14th. On alphabetical order we will start day in the playoffs by the end of the day we will be outside the play offs and not be in the top 6 by the end of any day.
