I remember in the mid 90s he scored an unbeaten ton for Derbyshire vs lancs in an epic NatWest trophy quarter or semi final at old Trafford. Him and cork put on a few before Lancs won by one run I think.

They’ve missed off the 3rd. But showed the red and a miss. -
Final League Position 2020-2021 - Poll

With the likelihood of injuries and suspensions if we fail to bring in another defender preferably a left back then I think we’ll slide into the bottom half. If we do strengthen and keep hold of everybody then I think we’ll creep into the top half. Either way I think we’ve nailed on that 8th-14th zone. -
With these pro rata refunds my prediction for next season is another price hike to cover the costs. Waggott won’t be able to sleep knowing people will get anything at a discounted rate even having lost out this season. Drive away even more of the ever dwindling fan base. I hope one day Waggott has an honest appraisal of the situation and after he resists his instinctive urge to blame the fans for not lapping up the tripe he serves ask himself why people aren’t coming in. Then what can be done. And whilst I’m not on £300,000 therefore totally unqualified I’ll give him 2 ways to get fans in. 1 a successful side (not easy and clearly not going that route with Tonebola). 2 very cheap tickets. (Fairly easy to implement but happy doing that either). A 3rd way would be to generate good will and unconditional loyalty to the club where regardless of results, entertainment or price people turn up regardless. Over the last decade no attempts have been made to win back the lost fans and if anything driving more away. We’re a total shit show largely of our own creation. Very sad.

Even in the past week. Sunday I’d given up on England winning. Won. On Wednesday thought wasn’t a cat in hells chance of England losing at 70/5. Lost. Then yesterday when root was putting us to all parts 115/1 I’d lost hope. Won

The best bit about that is bohannon, Bailey and parry were giving the celebrations some after being dropped/left out. Good sign

What a pool to pick from these manc bands. We once took our mate who hates cricket to the t20. He failed to be won over by the cricket but he said he’d come back for the songs.

Rovers vs. Wycombe - 19th Sept, 3pm

Nah safest job in football. As soon as he survived the 9 defeats from 11 I knew he was bulletproof. Perks to appointing your own boss. If we’re adrift by Xmas the Venkys might spring into action but in reality I expect another season bumbling around mid table. -
Something else to come out of the club that’s irritated me. Specifically putting the owners up on a pedestal again for doing the bare minimum. As for the line football without fans is nothing ironic to say there’s been a sustained effort to drive fans away for the past decade. Personally I think it comes down to the fact the club/waggott is out of touch with the fans. The latter looks like a dodgy secondhand car dealer and behaves like one.

Burton vs rovers 24th February 2017. Mowbray’s first game. Williams, lenihan, mulgrew and nyambe started. The rest of the side is a lot better but in terms of the defence there is pretty much zero progression in 3 years.
-
Raya was capable of a massive clanger with the best of them for us consistently and as recently as the play offs. But with his age and raw ability we all saw the potential. Can he deliver consistently enough is still a big question.
-
Mowbray is what he is. If you want to nail on that 8th-15th zone he’s the man all day long. If we want more roll the dice if we’re terrified of less 8th-15th it is.
-
I fear you’re right. However, as someone said above when you lose the ball half way up the pitch it shouldn’t always lead to a goal conceded. I think he could be a high point of the season I just hope the manager shows the same leniency as he does with Bennett.
-
-
My honest belief is he doesn’t have the ability to get anything out of what we have nor the contacts to fix it.
-
Every bloody game need to score 3
-
With this defence we will need to score at least 2 more to win. Particularly when Bennett is shoehorned in somewhere.
-
If only the manager used to play centre half. ?
-
2 league 2 defenders in bell and Williams. No surprises.
-
And so it begins
-
I’ve been to 3 games. Think they capped them all at 400 fans. Frankly could have let more in. Not that there’d be many more wanting to go. Could easily start with a bare minimum of 6k at ewood as a trail then ratchet things up

Season Predictions 2020-2021
matt83 replied to Hoochie Bloochie Mama's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Hopefully the keeper is an improvement. But with no Tosin the already leaky defence is worse than last season. So as it stands I can’t see any better than the 10th-15th zone. Wouldn’t take a lot for us to be in a relegation battle. But I remain hopeful defenders are coming. -
Blue and white halves reversed is unmistakably a Blackburn Rovers kit. Big clubs like Man U and Liverpool just generic red so without the crest who is it really. All white spurs, Real Madrid could be anyone. I appreciate we nicked ours off eton and others have nicked it off us. But even if you hid the club crest anyone that knows anything about football would know that’s a Blackburn Rovers kit. Change the colours to red, yellow, whatever then it must be the Rovers away kit. The recent kit style are just generic training tops could probably buy at sports soccer.
