  1. Only one stat he needs to worry about. 10th.
  2. I’m sure he’ll be back to normal now the sky cameras aren’t on him.
  3. Yeah your right won’t have been mince pies. More likely lemon drizzle.
  4. Or another way of looking at it is Warnock took over in June from the relegation places and he’s got them one point behind Tony “slow build” Tombola. Now pure conjecture but I’d wager Warnock is furious today, a man to be avoided. Mowbray will no doubt be handing out the mince pies because they tried and we have injuries.
  5. Think Bristol have more injuries than Rovers.
  6. I think it’s collectively gone to all their heads. For all we can laud our attacking prowess and top this season attacking charts. It’s largely being skewed by 3 games where we notched up 13 goals vs teams around the relegation zone and down to 10 men. Offset that by every single game gifting the opposition at least one chance that any professional team would expect to score. The outcome is exactly what we are a mid table side.
  7. Moggasaurus. Paid a decent wage, no pressure to do well, bit of lemon drizzle cake thrown in for good measure. But if I’m taking my football career seriously under rovers kenny, Hughes, fat Sam. Outside of rovers Brian Clough.
  8. It’s almost pointless talking about Mowbray now. This time of year I am partial to a Xmassy film and yesterday Groundhog Day was ticked off. All so annoyingly predictable. He’s going nowhere I would say there are 3 camps now - Those who are happy with and have accepted medical table mediocrity. Those who fear the Venkys making a worse appointment. Those acknowledged we’ve plateaued and want to make a change in the hope the replacement is more Warnock than junaid Ali. I did consider those who think Mowbray will get us into the play offs but I can’t believe there’s anyone who actually believes that it must be more of a bravado/denial thing. When things get back to normal and grounds reopen again I’ll be interested to see what the gates are like. I suspect even though people should be chomping at the bit for live football again and therefore bumper crowds, I reckon the attendances will be low very low. I dare say a few, not least swag, will be left scratching their heads as to why. Answer: Tony Tonbola and his strive for mediocrity
  9. We had one decent chance the Ayala header not sure there was much evidence to say we could have won the game. No player is immune from criticism especially after a performance like that.
  10. Same old rovers mid table makeweights. And I’ll let folk in on the worst kept secret. Under Mowbray it will be the same in the new year, the same at the end of the season, same next season and for however long the manager wants paying.
  11. It’s been said a few times this season but we are flat track bullies
  12. Terrible from both Douglas and Ayala.
  13. Thought Rothwell was coming off then was about to throw something at the tv.
  14. Live on sky. I think he’s trying to make it the Armstrong show.
  15. Armstrong is irritating me slightly here.
  16. Sky talking about Bristol’s 8 first teamers out injured. They can naff off with that Tony’s already called a season long dibs on that excuse. Can’t just swoop in with their injuries who the hell do they think they are.
  17. Yeah would seem so. Re sending off didn’t appear to be last man either. Had an expletive-ridden mid-morning rant. Sadly he scored their second goal but I guess whoever laughs last, laughs the longest.
  18. Only just watched the highlights. Their number 7 what a prick. After a fairly innocuous looking penalty runs over to the ref brandishing imaginary cards then after lenihan was sent off gave it the old fist pump. Hope he enjoyed the equaliser. I’d have sent that peroxide blonde prick off as well.
  19. Can’t beat an undeserved 91st minute winner.
  20. Sure heard it was Tuesday
  21. I don’t think there’s even 5. I’d say the 3 relegated teams after which admittedly close but I look at other teams and I think I’d choose a lot of our lads.
  22. My view hasn’t changed in the slightest. We are a 8th-14th team under Mowbray and with this current squad I think playoffs should be a minimum line in the sand and failure in that regard should lead to a managerial change. Also nothing new in us stringing a few wins together and it does feel like a crest of the wave. But as we know whenever we’re in striking distance of the playoffs we go into a tail spin. This summer in 7th looking good lost 4. Last winter just on the edge of the playoffs don’t win in 6 or 7. Then the 9 defeats in 11 games which was on the back of 4-5 wins. I truly hope this isn’t another false dawn. The glimmer of hope I’m clinging to is that win was different because we were 2nd best and wouldn’t have won that normally
  23. Next 4 games millwall, Brentford, Bristol and Norwich. All sides above us. This season haven’t faired well against teams above us and historically we meltdown as soon as get to 2pts from the playoffs. Good test to see if anything had actually changed.
  24. It’s the man doing the thinking that worries me.
