Then if buy anyone (6 of the last 7 windows would suggest probably not) he will need at least 2 months to let them learn the Mowbray way before we can be judged again. Then it’s too close to the end of the season to sack any one particularly when only 3-10 points from the play offs. Then by the end of the season. DEFENDERS ARE COMING. We’re on a journey. One more year, one more year, one more year.

The latest instalment of our very own carry on up the khyber dinner scene. More wine Swag... -
Very frustrating. This is unprecedented in that for the likes of me, thee and others we want what’s best for Blackburn Rovers only. However, there seems to be a Scientology-esque cult following for Mowbray. I can’t explain it. Perhaps for any rovers fan 20 years old or younger this will provably be the best they can remember. My heart bleeds for them, truly, and I understand why they think this is all somehow acceptable. They’ve seen nothing but shite. But there’s old duffs who buy into this. This is unacceptable. We’ve seen Rovers as champions of the country, etc, and my old man saw an era of Clayton and Douglas, but even in the barren years we had a proper football club. We aren’t anymore. Pre Venkys when came across opposition fans from Man U, liverpool who used to say they’re a better club I used to proudly say no you’re not you might have a better team but you 100% are not a better club. That’s gone. What’s left.

My best mate optimises this. Slow to want any manager sacked then after any decision the club makes it’s the right decision. Last night: “The squad isn’t good as you’re making out. Top half fine. Trust me he’s moved his own goalposts there. Agreed, need a massive improvement. Tony probably isn’t the man to improve us but enjoyed it from the horror show of Coyle. Not that he’d criticise at the time. Maybe we do need a change which is sad because I think he’s done so much good.” This morning renewed faith: “Missing our best players. You talk about him he’s ruining the club. If it wasn’t for him we’d probably be in league one.” One of the true disciples to be sure. But if Mowbray were to be sacked tomorrow, the club in their infinite wisdom, would be right. Frustrating mindset. But takes all sorts.

I have zero doubts that Mowbray has taken us as far as he can and needs to go. But the Venkys are my biggest concern. Yet the propaganda rag the LET would have us believe the Venkys have learnt, time to forgive and forget, but reading miller’s post it would appear the relationship with an agency that destroyed the club still very much endures. We are in a right old mess. Mowbray blames the players, we all blame Mowbray/Swag. But all roads lead back to the halfwits in Pune towers.

In the position of a coach they would be useful and valid suggestions. The problem is this Mowbray is both stupid and stubborn. A toxic combination at the best of times but in this case the outcome is he’s too stupid to think there’s a problem and if by some miracle he sees the problem he’s too stubborn to change. Theres only one solution to the malaise we’re in and I’m afraid it doesn’t include helping the manager.

Sounds about right. I know someone who knows swag. Appreciate it’s all a bit once removed stuff. This bloke likes swag (mainly because he thinks swag rebuilt the club off the pitch and he’s a football man and has “good intentions”). Andy Cole disagreed with that assessment in his book but anyway. But when you hear some of the things swag comes out with its worrying. He has an almost over my dead body attitude to Mowbray leaving. No surprises really. He almost takes full responsibility for the academy doing well. 🤷♂️. He sees Rovers future in terms of nurturing academy lads and then selling them on. Delusional and swag will probably fall at the first hurdle letting nyambe go on a free. He sees the local media in terms of using them to create the illusions of ambition in order to get players like Dack to extend contracts. All well and good but will end in tears if the fans buy into it as well-which we have/had. Then some other crazy redevelopment stuff I can’t really remember exactly what but sounded like stuff an 8 year old super fan would fantasise about. In my opinion Swag is the king of weasel words and both him and Mowbray are in it for all they can get.

I was so hoping I’d wake up to see my phone alive with texts about Mowbray departing. Didn’t expect it but nevertheless gutted. He’ll no doubt brazen this out get his one win in about 10 and ride back into town like a hero.
-
I just don’t see it. He’s not getting sacked by swag so that leaves resigning. He’ll get back home tonight, lick his wounds, have a kip then wake up and remember he’s the luckiest bloke in football. Will clear a million a season salary, no fans in the ground for the rest of the season, a very passive apathetic fanbase, clueless disinterested owners, his mate is his boss and the a local rag laps up all his bullshit and excuses and never ask him any difficult questions. There no other job this cushy in football and he knows it

After we lost our 4th game in the first 10 vs Oldham in league one I’d have sacked him after that. Fair dos only lost 2 more and limped to promotion but with our budget and squad I feel pretty much anyone could have got us promoted (and yes I know it doesn’t always happen). Having got promoted in that manner I once again thought he wasn’t up to it. Then after the 9 defeats from 11 he should have been sacked. And since that moment there’s not been a single occasion that I thought that would have been the wrong decision.
-
Entirely typical of the man. He has a brass neck on him. Excuse after excuse after excuse. I’d have an ounce of respect of him if he put his hands up just once and said sorry I lost the plot.
-
And 2 calamitous pieces of defending. Totally unforeseeable.
-
Why didn't Buckley just usher that ball out for a goal kick
-
This is horrible.
-
Surely that’s another one of his 9 lives gone.
-
You were saying
-
You’ve forgotten the sign off we go again.
-
Although Mowbray is staying put. If fans were there, I imagine with the manner of this performance, ah evening ko, that big stand mostly full. They would be getting it big time tonight. Like ince vs Wigan.
-
Not in a months of Sunday’s. Leave the gravy train
-
Good job Wycombe are beating Cardiff otherwise would be down in 15th. Or is it good a relegation rival picking up 3 points.
-
Mowbray is actually taking the piss now. A man that knows he’s untouchable.
-
The worst thing is everyone saw this coming. Defensive cock up.
-
On a road to nowhere.
-
We're so ponderous. Very slow in the transition.
