The State of Ewood Park!
matt83 replied to A Northern Horde...'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I was thinking about the way the club is run off the pitch from Waggott down to the middle managers. Even this thread alone shines a light on the true incompetence of most employed there. The initial reason for someone starting this is when it emerged on social media about the sorry state of the weeds, etc, outside the blues bar...only after being shamed the club sprayed weed killer down and promised to sort out the general area. A month or so goes past the general area still a dump and some folk off here (defo recall chaddy doing it) contacted the club and finally something was done. Once again weeks, maybe months, before it became an issue folk were discussing the state of the pitch and what do the dummies at ewood do, nothing absolutely nothing. Not only nothing but hold extra training sessions on it. Can’t make their stupidity up. It’s like they’re incapable of 1 seeing the bloody obvious of what needs to be done and 2 doing something about it without being prompted by Joe public. -

Wasn’t there something iffy about his departure. I vaguely recall when he’d gone wasn’t allowed to disclose why. As with most people who have left under the Venkys all seemed to be cloak and dagger stuff with the lawyers in hot pursuit. Probably asked for a new lawn mower and was told to get his coat. -
I believe they relay the pitch at the end of every season. But the 28 years thing will be presumably referring to the whole system from under soil heating, to drainage, etc. Lets call it what it is though just another excuse out of Mowbray’s big book of ridiculous excuses

The pitch is just symptomatic of everything that’s wrong with the club. Loads of fans have said for months that the pitch is bad but the club lets it turn into a potato field before anyone employed by the club thinks that something needs to be done. It’s particularly ridiculous considering Moggasaurus in his infinite wisdom wants to play possession football. They just can’t do anything right. -

I don’t want us to lose but don’t care if we win either. All pointless under Mowbray -

Losing interest in Rovers more every game by the time the gates reopen won’t be interested in going whatsoever. -

Plus might have gone out of play for the goal. Would need to see it again -

When that went in all I could think is this clown bought himself another few weeks. -

I wonder what actually needs to happen for Mowbray to go -
Sri Lanka were much better this innings. That first innings was absolutely appalling. Still remain unconvinced by Bess and leach as spinners. Looking forward to the India tour Kohli will bat all day, the next day and the day after against them. Could probably do it left handed.

For me if his “poor style” is justified in the results then yes. It’s similar to the fat Sam debate. Personally I was happier watching hoofball as a mid table premier league side but some do seem happier as a mid table championship side playing pointless possession football. Ironically, in my opinion this possession football we currently play is as bad as anything I’ve watched from rovers just not what’s conventionally accepted as crap football. -

Waggott, Lynsey Talbot. Genuinely I could do a better job of running rovers in my spare time and I’d do it for gratis. I’d love them to call my bluff. -

TRANSFER THREAD - JANUARY 2021

In a way it doesn’t really matter if this Everton lad is a baresi or a pub player. He's here for 4 months in a season with nothing left to play for. Hope he enjoys his time and becomes the next big thing but it will have almost certainly done nothing for Rovers. -
I once replaced a door handle on the bathroom. Forgot to screw on the handle on the outside of the door so when she closed the door it locked in the latch but handle and spindle thing fell off the other side and she couldn’t open the door and therefore couldn’t get out. I’d also gone out somewhere. Wasn’t a happy camper.

I find I’m going through familiar stages now under Mowbray. Started with frustration, then annoyance, then apathy and finally total disinterest. Now making my way from annoyance to apathy. Either way a million miles off enjoyment or even pride in club.

Tony Mowbray - Stick or Twist ?

If we lose our next 5 games it still wouldn’t be as bad as the 9 defeats from 11 where he obviously didn’t walk. He’s not getting off the gravy train any time soon. -

What is it with this clown and journeys. Not content with taking Rovers on a road to nowhere. He’s chiming in on other journeys. I genuinely think he’s taking the piss -

Do my eyes deceive me a slightly critical piece in the clubs propaganda rag. God things must be worse than I thought and I thought things were pretty bad. -
How many neutrals and third parties thought Kean was doing well as the club burnt. So they can fuck off when it comes to matters concerning Blackburn Rovers. Then how many of our own fans were slow to see this and even then reluctant to criticise back then. There are none so blind as those who will not see.

I wouldn’t be surprised if our owners are sat in Pune thinking do we still own that football club. Then much like the unused gym membership say we must remember to cancel that at some point. Not one fuck given. I also don’t reckon there’s any pressure on either of the chuckle brothers and whilst that body language was disgraceful I think it’s more the body language of someone so chilled out he knows what ever happens on the pitch it won’t impact on him. Interesting about Neill. The nob Enders I know are certainly no fan of him. Wouldn’t be too keen on him compared to other managers out there but if it happened at this stage Rovers just need fresh ideas wherever they come from. Plus could argue who’s done better Mowbray with the resources available to him or Neill with the resources available to him. One clear winner there.
