  1. The worst thing is everyone saw this coming. Defensive cock up.
  2. We're so ponderous. Very slow in the transition.
  3. 😂. This is Mowbray and Swag every time get to about 1-2 points from the play-offs.
  4. I’d love it if we threw caution into the wind and attacked Huddersfield from the kick off as if we have to score 7. Even if we concede just keep going. Intricate passes or long balls, couldn’t care as long as it’s going forward. But I suspect we’ll be subjected to a death by a thousand pointless defensive passes and long range shots. As per usual.
  5. I wouldn’t hold your breath. He’s yet to learn from any of his mistakes. He’s not learnt from the failing 4-3-3, he’s not learnt from playing Gallagher on the wing, he’s not learnt from Douglas making errors every single game, has he even learnt from playing Bennett. When he’s fit I can just see him going straight in at the expense of a better player, probably nyambe.
  6. Rovers playing good football was the penultimate Mowbray myth to be busted. In the last 10 games we’ve played well once vs nob end and horrendously in most if not all other of those games, well unless pointless possession football is your thing. Hopefully can get Dack, Brereton, Armstrong and Travis on the same pitch together sometime very soon. Then no more excuses. At which point might be more consistent (highly unlikely as Mowbray hasn’t been able to sort out a defence in over a decade) or the final myth of injuries holding us back rather the dummy in the dugout will also be dispelled. Then might finally move on to fresh ideas and hopefully progress. I sense the goal posts are being moved as to what constitutes a good season. By Easter I’m fully expecting as long as we can stay up.
  7. Someone was speculating whether at mid 60s Swag was likely to retire so I just assumed Mowbray would be similar. Bloody gutted to think he’s probably not even close to considering retiring age wise.
  8. Didn’t he resign? So we didn’t actually pay any compensation to Blackpool
  9. Never. They were all out of work or internal appointments. Kean-a crook internally appointed, Berg out of work after leaving lillestrom, Appleton out of work after leaving Blackpool, bowyer promoted from within, Lambert sacked by villa and out of work, coyle sacked (left by mutual consent) by some tin pot MLS side, Mowbray out of work after resigning from Coventry after a 10 match run where only got 6 points. A curtesy he never showed Rovers after similar Mowbray death spirals.
  10. At £400 a go the first 750 season ticket holders cover swag’s £300,000 salary. Don’t know Mowbray salary but it’s suggested that the average salary of a manager in the championship is £878,000. So assuming it’s at exactly the average (suspect more) the remaining 1,750 season ticket holders will only pay 80% of Mowbray’s salary. When look at it in those terms the season ticket money goes nowhere. Plus there’s kids rates in there as well. I’m sure another 500 ish season ticket holders would be brilliant to them so that both their salaries are covered. That’s the main thing.
  11. Moggasaurus vs Stoke: “It was a game where we were pretty dominant from start to finish but we’ve come away with no points," Mowbray reflected after the game. “It’s been a frustrating day for us. “They had a throw in, nobody reacted, the ball went in and it was a goal from nothing really. “We were against a team that we felt we should be beating, just as we did when we went away to Bristol. “Teams are banking up with lots and lots of bodies behind the ball these days. “Possession doesn’t mean a lot in football, we’re dominating a lot of games but we have to finish moves off and score goals. “Maybe it was a day for someone like [Bradley] Dack, someone who can stick a ball between the legs and curl one into the top corner, someone with that bit of individuality. “If we’d have got one then we might have got four or five today," he added. “I can’t remember Stoke getting over the halfway line in the final 20 minutes, we had a lot of the ball, but we just couldn’t break them down." Moggasaurus vs sheff wed: They stick a lot of men behind the ball, they make it really hard for you, but we gave them a goal. “We have them the goal, they didn’t have to work for it and it gave them something to hold onto. “It feels really harsh, it feels really tough, but you’re not given anything in football. “You have to keep working at it and to find the answers. “It took a bit of magic from Rothwell to break the lines and score for us," he said. “You could see the impact (Bradley) Dack had, one touches, round the corner, and if his flick hadn’t hit Armstrong on the chin, he’d have been in one-on-one with the goalkeeper. “(Ben) Brereton maybe should have scored, we hit the post, but we’re left frustrated."
  12. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2020/december/mowbray-post-sheffield-wednesday-reaction/ 🥱
  13. In our half and pretty much middle 1/3rd of the pitch I think teams are happy just to let us have the ball because they know we’ll not do much with it. Worryingly I think the manager is happy with it as well because at the very least possession is one of the ways he justifies the detritus that’s unfolding.
  14. It will be interesting to see when things return to normal. I think after the novelty of the first 5 or so home games has worn off we could even be down as low as 7-8,000 if swag and Mowbray are still ruling the roost. But they’ll both say ain’t us governor it’s covid that’s done it. Perfect crime. Plus can’t do the usual trick of count absentee season higher holders when there’s only 2,500 of them.
  15. What’s the saying it’s a foolish man who doesn’t learn from the mistakes of others but it’s a bloody idiot who doesn’t learn from his own mistakes.
  16. I’m hoping the final myth that we play good football Mowbray is has finally been busted. Dull pointless possession football.
  17. The thing all rovers fans have in common is we want what’s best for Blackburn Rovers football club. The thing Mowbray, waggott have got in common is they want the best for themselves. Ideally, all 3 agendas would align but when they don’t expect them to make sure they’re alright first even it’s at the expense of what’s best for the club.
  18. The manager usually flip flops from being a results manager to a performance manager depending what suits his agenda. Surely when there’s neither he’s run out of excuses.
