  1. I reckon this is mowbray’s next justification of himself. For that for all we’re not winning games we’re mostly only losing narrowly. So really narrow defeats are as good as wins especially when we win the moral battle of pointless possession.
  2. Unfortunately the manager will see it the same way. At least he’ll have earned about £20,000 this week for his troubles.
  3. Clearly have to find someone but other than Root, who averages 49.6, none of the batsmen are currently good enough to justify a place. Burns averages 30.73, Crawley 37.16, sibley 32.48, bairstow 34.45, stokes 37.19, Pope 32.78, Lawrence 21.71, buttler 34.53, Ali 28.88, foakes 36, Denly 29.83. Obviously stokes contributes as an all rounder, foakes a keeper but in terms of purely batting contributions we have Root. That’s it. Perhaps if the county championship wasn’t reduced to a spring and autumn sport in favour of crickets answer to baseball then might allow young batsmen to learn their trade a bit better.
  4. You just know whether it’s the first win after 7 defeats or the first win after 15 defeats Mowbray and the cult of Mowbray will laud it like it’s an fa cup final win and decree it as the new dawn of the season.
  5. Defenders are coming We can easily win four or five on the bounce in the coming weeks On a journey Just wait and see when Dack, Brereton, Travis, etc are fit. In 2018 judge me at the end of the season. Well not that season the next one. I meant the one after that. Always jam tomorrow never today with Tonebola.
  6. Yeah. There is a type of fan that sets his or her stall out as through thick and thin but defines that to be supporting any old crap the club does. A lot on here are through thick and thin types but are separated from the fact they also want the club to improve. Blindly backing the incumbent or status quo even when it’s wrong because you see it as a through “thick and thin” is a very dangerous even toxic type of support.
  7. https://mobile.twitter.com/Rovers/status/1367882600996503552 I think in terms of motivational speeches Henry v at Agincourt has met its match. No wonder never score in the first half. The poor sods probably still asleep after listening to him that drone on.
  8. These lads just want the flight home. Once again England showing a complete lack of ability to play spin. Although that from sibley was unlucky. 😂 There's a stat about axar and Bess and full tosses this series 1 vs 30 ish for half the deliveries. Yesterday watched him bowl 5 overs of filth and thought would rather work.
  9. Not so sure he is a decent bloke. He knows he’s taking us backwards but also knows this is the best job he’ll ever have again so he’s milking it for all he’s worth. Don’t blame him for wanting the pay out but hardly a tick in the decent category. Had a few swipes at the fans - that bizarre stuff with being forced to play nyambe as a result out for a long time then played 4 days later. Equally bizarre was that crap he came out with about expectations in relation to having seen Shearer and Sutton. Often runs down the younger players. Manipulates stats to suit his own agenda - result are important, nope possession/style is important. Frankly just lies about what he’s seeing in the pitch. We’ve played badly in every game since nob end in November but to listen to him you’d think we were unlucky every match. In my opinion a poor manager and NOT a decent bloke. The only thing I can say about him is he’s better than Kean and Coyle.
  10. This is part of the problem with Mowbray allegedly strengthening the squad in all departments except obviously defence which is worse. We certainly have better individual players but that’s exactly what they are, a collection of individuals who don’t fit into any particular system together and certainly not the one he’s settled on.
  11. One of the many perks of appointing your own boss.
  12. They may rate him but the results in terms of player conditioning (the sheer volume of muscle injuries) and general fitness tells a different tale. The former not necessarily his fault but can’t say I’ve been impressed by fitness levels either. Although this season we have stopped conceding late goals which I’m sure was purely fitness related.
  13. I highly doubt it. Improvement just isn’t a thing that happens under the Venkys.
  14. My prediction is the manager will be in his job Monday morning and in his post match comments Mowbray will say the following: We’re frustrated We move on We were the better side We had more possession On a journey I’m working class With regards to this new “working class” thing he’s coming out with to somehow justify his position. Frankly I’d prefer a pampered member of the aristocracy if he played players in their correct position and could organise a defence.
  15. The Peter principle springs to mind.
  16. So the understudy of the guy running the department arguably responsible for the poor conditioning of players is now the main man. A classic rovers downgrade.
  17. Not so long ago Mowbray was babbling on that once had Travis and Dack back the job was sorted.
  18. An old fella who goes to every game. Think views himself as a mr Blackburn Rovers. Stuck by Kean until the bitter end.
  19. Would you say Mowbray has done any better than Bowyer after the mess he inherited from Kean et al? Either way it’s an unacceptably low bar that’s been set by the Venkys.
  20. Then it’ll be as long as we’re not adrift at the bottom. Then well he got us up before he can do it again...There is a Scientology esque cult surrounding Mowbray - it’s bizarre. He was lucky to get a job here, on balance he’s done ok, but once he leaves he’s not getting a better job.
  21. There are some people who only need to be told not to stick a fork in the toaster. Some people can work out not to do it for themselves. However, there are some people that need to stick it in to see what happens. Sadly, this lot will have to see what happens by keeping Mowbray on.
  22. I’ve said it before we have a high percentage of stupid fans but doesn’t mean they should be taken seriously.
  23. Nothing more to be said on Mowbray and the various buffoons we have. Mowbray is a shit manager taking us backwards. Until he decides to leave bread is more interesting.
