  1. Both Lenihan AND Douglas were decent yesterday. Perhaps this young Everton lad is having a bigger impact than playing well himself by dragging up the blokes either side of him. Could be a coincidence but the last time lenihan put in a consistent level of performances was along side Tosin.
  2. How can we possibly draw a line in the sand and move on when the same old mistakes are playing out. Only hiring managers from the offshoot of Anderson’s Kentaro, the fact they haven’t appointed anyone competent in over a decade to run the club, the state of the ground, the state of the pitch, the state of the boardroom. They do keep pumping money in but until they put us back where they found us as a mid table premiership club with minimal debt I shall not forgive. And if they achieve that I’ll never forget.
  3. All mistakes of their own creation. The Venkys cannot think they’ve done little wrong. It’s not like they haven’t been told not least of all from that fan delegation that went over. If I were them I’d feel that I had betrayed the supporters through my own stupidity, ignorance and arrogance. Leveraging debt isn’t quite the same as £150 million leaving their account into ours. If they left tomorrow the debt stays with us. Perhaps as a sense of duty for destroying something they might feel they owe it to the club/fans but we are the victims here of stupidity from Pune.
  4. I see them as scum of the earth but don’t see how it’s reciprocated
  5. I still think it’s important for the next manager to have 5-10 games to look at the squad before the summer. There’s an international break last weekend in March before Easter weekend then 8 or 9 games left of the season. So let’s say the next death spiral happens mid February could be a perfect timing to pull the trigger. Just need to hope the ceo will be doing some managerial window shopping. Don’t bet on it.
  6. Deserved man of the match in my opinion. Very early days to judge him but at 18 looks a decent prospect. Problem he has from your point of view will he ever get past Keane and Mina 🤷‍♂️. Possibly not. You might only ever see him in cup games.
  7. I haven’t seen anything new from rovers today. An ugly win better than a possession laden defeat. We often get to 1-3 points away from the play offs followed by the next 5-7 game death spiral. Seen it all before. Nothing has changed. Very easy to say Mowbray out during one of his terminal declines so after 10 points from 12 I’ll say it. Mowbray out he hasn’t got what it takes to get rovers into the play offs.
  8. Decent win. Edging closer before the next death spiral.
  9. There’s a Simpson’s episode where homer finds a crayon lodged in his brain from a childhood accident making him stupid. Removes it and becomes intelligent. Hates his newfound intelligence so hits another crayon through into his brain making him stupid again. I feel something similar has happened to Brereton. A total donkey, out of the blue becomes decent, since return from injury back to being a donkey. I wonder if he’s done something similar with a crayon.
  10. Regardless of the game situation when will Bennett come on. I’ll go for 74th minute.
  11. It’s when he brings him on to the pitch there’s a problem.
  12. That’s the point really. Warnock might be getting criticised for a mini Mowbray death spiral but in spite that they’re still 3 points ahead of rovers and 3 points off/1 place off the play offs. That’s with a team rattling around the relegation places last season and only 7 months into their “journey”.
  13. Yeah. For what it’s worth I don’t think it should have been a red card (disagree with the rules) the ball was there to be won, just unfortunate the lads head got in the way. Put it this way if branthwaite left the ball for fear that he’d accidentally kick the lad and they went on to score I’d have been livid with him. But as far as the rules as they currently are go it is a red card. In theory if he’d done exactly the same thing but missed the guys head then it still should have been a red under the rules because it’s dangerous. Had he been sent off without contact I’d have been fuming
  14. Season before that. The point is you think he was under pressure because of 2 wins from 10. But why would he be when there was no pressure from a 1 win from 11 spell 2 seasons ago.
  15. When a manager rides out 9 defeats from 11 without a murmur a run of 2 wins from 10 is water off a ducks back.
  16. As far as my understanding of the rules go if it’s reckless or dangerous intent doesn’t come into it in which case it’s a red all day long.
  17. We’ve all been 18. I wouldn’t have thought the sight of a 72 year old foaming at the mouth will bother him in the slightest. Probably finds it funny.
  18. In a horrible position where I can’t take pleasure in defeats because we’ve lost and I can’t take pleasure in victories because Mowbray lumbers on. Suppose that’s life under Venkys rovers.
  19. Those subs were clearly premeditated before the goal. Possibly the start.
  20. Take the positives sleepy Tone is still awake.
