  1. Mowbray is what he is. If you want to nail on that 8th-15th zone he’s the man all day long. If we want more roll the dice if we’re terrified of less 8th-15th it is.
  2. I fear you’re right. However, as someone said above when you lose the ball half way up the pitch it shouldn’t always lead to a goal conceded. I think he could be a high point of the season I just hope the manager shows the same leniency as he does with Bennett.
  3. My honest belief is he doesn’t have the ability to get anything out of what we have nor the contacts to fix it.
  4. With this defence we will need to score at least 2 more to win. Particularly when Bennett is shoehorned in somewhere.
  5. 2 league 2 defenders in bell and Williams. No surprises.
  6. I’ve been to 3 games. Think they capped them all at 400 fans. Frankly could have let more in. Not that there’d be many more wanting to go. Could easily start with a bare minimum of 6k at ewood as a trail then ratchet things up
  7. Hopefully the keeper is an improvement. But with no Tosin the already leaky defence is worse than last season. So as it stands I can’t see any better than the 10th-15th zone. Wouldn’t take a lot for us to be in a relegation battle. But I remain hopeful defenders are coming.
  8. Blue and white halves reversed is unmistakably a Blackburn Rovers kit. Big clubs like Man U and Liverpool just generic red so without the crest who is it really. All white spurs, Real Madrid could be anyone. I appreciate we nicked ours off eton and others have nicked it off us. But even if you hid the club crest anyone that knows anything about football would know that’s a Blackburn Rovers kit. Change the colours to red, yellow, whatever then it must be the Rovers away kit. The recent kit style are just generic training tops could probably buy at sports soccer.
  9. I’m 99% sure we both play in our home kits in the fa cup win? Admittedly can’t really remember matches since.
  10. Haha. Now try to read it in a Lloyd Grossman accent. Missed a trick not signing off with this isn’t just a kit it’s a Blackburn Rovers away kit.
  11. I feel like joey from friends needs to be at the next club meeting.
  12. I’m certainly not on £300,000 a year like our ceo so certainly not qualified to think on his level. But perhaps when social distancing ends what about if we sold season tickets for £100-150. Even as a Rovers pessimist id hope we’d double current numbers. So 10-15,000 season tickets. More folk inside the ground. More people spending money at the concession stands. Perhaps the extra atmosphere might create a bit of a buzz around the place and encourage more walk ons who normally wouldn’t go for a morgue like atmosphere. The logic being 15,000 fans paying £150 is better than 10,000 paying £200 or 5,000 paying £400. Nah let’s just rinse what dwindling core fans we have left. Expect them to thank us for it.
  13. There are people out there who feel constantly let down by the club and can see nothing positive in anything they do (must admit I’m in that category and I genuinely think there’s pretty much no positives to come out of the last decade). Or maybe I’m so bitter about them I can’t see any. Then there are those who can see no wrong in anything the club does. A kind of sweet love is blind kind of way. But I suspect the majority of people take a pragmatic view and are just in the middle ground. It’s these people the club needs to keep on side. Lose them over overzealous pricing you might lose them forever. Just seems a crappy way to lose fans when our billionaire owners don’t really need the money from a few thousand paying 50 quid or so more.
  14. I think preston fans have been shafted vis a vis value for money. The difference between the 2 clubs is there’s presumably good will built up over years which nobend want to cash in on. With rovers there’s zero good will in the bank so they pretty much need to bend over backwards to get rovers fans in. Needless to say we won’t but don’t expect more than a few thousand if priced anything like nobend
  15. Not sure I follow the Liverpool comparison. £685 to watch one of the best football sides in the world, playing at the highest level, 100 million fans ish world wide, sold out stadium every week. In terms of where to pitch the price I’d say with the ill will and apathy towards the club the only way we’d shift decent numbers is if that lowest bolton price was our highest. Embarrassingly low. The Venkys can stump up the rest. Their baby after all
  16. Well where to start with that statement. Firstly at least they’ve sprung into action with a communication. Hurrah. I think that’s where the positivity ends. That just doesn’t read well. Some cringeworthy statements and as for we are together did anyone else think of Orwell’s animal farm and we’re all equal but some are more equal than others. Also they’re freezing kids season tickets but rising adults. Surely it must have occurred to them that in all probability parents will be buying a kids season ticket. So although kids will pay the same the overall cost for the family will still go up. All in it together though. Re pricing I’ve always thought as a general example it’s better to have 10,000 paying £200 each than 5,000 paying £400 each. But it would appear we’re going down the latter route.
  17. He did a backflip summersault type thing in the fa youth cup 1/4 final at ewood. Don’t know if that’s his trademark celebration but hoping will find out a fair few times.
