Kids wore shirts

Here is a history lesson from someone who grew up in the 50’s/60’s. I grew up with mates who were a cross section of Rovers, Burnley and PNE fans, but essentially we were fans of football. Regarding Rovers v Burnley matches, the lads who supported Rovers and Burnley traveled together on the bus to either Ewood or Turf Moor. We wore our shirts with pride and went to our respective ends to join up with the fans of our particular club. At the end of the game we travelled home together. At no time did we encounter any trouble. Where did all the agro start then?

Well that just about sums up what is wrong with folk and to some extent football these days.
-
Well you can put money on that it won’t be Boxing Day. Either here or at Turd Moor
-
To be fair to their support, it can’t have been easy to stay with your team with some years in League1, when the Magpies with their dirty Saudi money are flaunting it on your doorstep. The Stadium of Light will be a daunting away fixture next season.

Hope Greater Manchester Council have given Seville some advice from their experience.

Forest v Sheffield Utd getting a bit fiesty, one thing with these semi finals, although we know that the standard of referees in the championship is not great, it seems to be endorsed by the EFL where Premiership refs are used in the semis. A bit of a vote of no confidence if you ask me.

Of course your right, but it’s the current rules that are out of kilter with the game.

That’s why I have lost so much love for the game. Handball my arse.

I think in reality there can only be two lists of candidates that we, as fans, could formulate. There is a list of desirable managers who we can only dream about coming here and we actually think are either out of our budget or too sensible to take the job. An interview with a so called CEO who is actually nothing more than a gatekeeper? What a laugh. The second list is of managers who have dropped out of the spotlight and would take any job with any conditions attached, just to return to the spotlight. If it didn’t work out they could simply slag off the owners and plead that they didn’t know the club was run in such a poor way. Regarding Ainsworth, as a Rovers fan I would love to think that he would jump at the chance of coming here, but as a Rovers fan, do we not think, that like us all on here, that he doesn’t follow goings on at Ewood and realise what a shit show our club has become?

Premier League season 21/22

Just watched Liverpool drop two points against Spuds. A big loss to their title aspirations yet Juergen Klopp still goes onto the pitch at the final whistle and congratulates all the Spurs players. The man is a class act. We never saw Fergie do such classy acts. He was a great manager but had zero class, that’s why I always loved Kenny’s mind game wins with him. -

I was just thinking the other day, the radio stations on St. Patrick’s day were wetting themselves over the Paddy day yet I’ve hesrd nowt today celebrating the fact that it’s St. George’s day. What is it with this country? Happy St. George’s day everyone. -
I’ll start telling you of the 1967 European Cup run if your not careful and my trip to the Stadion da Luz as a 17year old.

Totally agree. I’m sure he will be offered a new contract on the basis that he has carried out the owners instructions probably given to him around the New Year. “Now look hear Tony, finishing in the top six or worse still, the top two, will not be tolerated. Make sure it doesn’t happen” -
