  8. I recently read his biography which is superb. No holds barred account of his life, a real insight Into the man. For those with Amazon Video, look up “Shane”. Top documentary about him. Good to see they are naming a stand after him at the MCG. RIP
  9. I was just thinking exactly that TS. The type of player we all used to hate, Hughes, Batty, Todd, Savage, etc. When they wore the blue and white they became gods, they were hard and stood no messing and we loved them for it.
  10. Bryan Adams. Cloud number 9
  11. Eagles. Certain Kind of Fool
  12. Whoever is to blame regarding the pitch, the match was called off rightly or wrongly by the ref who is an EFL official so I can’t see how they can fine the club.
  13. I hope Steve Patrick’s laughing his head off. From one of the best playing surfaces in the Premier League to a pudding’ of a pitch. You get out what you put in but of course nothing major has been done for years.
  14. Though you may expect a Frankie goes to ??? I’ll go Dire Straits. On Every Steet
  15. Eagles. Take it to the limit.
  16. Spot on. It always anoyed me that a bloke from Clitheroe lifted the cup in 1960. To be fair I wrote Bill a letter some years ago and he sent me a gracious reply. A lovely man.
  17. The Beatles. Getting better all the time.
  18. Sorry Tyrone 2 out of 3 Eddie was born in Peterlee
  19. Other than Duggie who was born on the doorstep, there are three England players in that team who were born within 15 miles of Ewood Park. Who are they?
  20. Your correct here are the relevant facts
  21. Dire Straits. Expresso Love
  22. That’s it in a nutshell. We keep having to look at everybody else’s results which is not promotion material. 8th place for us come May. How I hope I’m totally wrong.
  23. That’s exactly as I also remember it. I was only 8 and was taken by my dad. All my mums family were Glaswegians and we stayed at my Gran’s in Ibrox. It was pretty daunting for an 8 year old in a crowd just shy of 128,000.
  24. I remember his dad had a gents barber shop between Darwen St.bridge and Lower Audley St.
