  1. This is the most likely outcome, yep. How could they possibly? What's their problem with us?
  2. Most fans on social media, especially Twitter, seem to think football started about 5 years ago. Our history in general on these types of platforms seems to have been erased almost entirely.
  3. We will probably win this purely by virtue of being able to outscore them. They'll be up for this, as you'd expect from lower league opposition in the cup and they'll score a couple, just like Walsall and Cambridge did. Difficult to get too bothered about this one (obviously, want a win) when there is such a huge league game to follow. The starting 11 is a big call. Assuming Carter and Pickering are out for a bit (unknown at this stage) risking both Hyam and Wharton seems a bit mental.
  4. Genuinely happy for him tbh. Rovers dropped the ball (when don't we) with BBD's contract/sale.
  5. I can't for the life of me see how people aren't concerned. Looks like the manager has lost the plot and the owners aren't interested in investing anything. If we stay up this season it will be because other teams don't win enough. QPR won yesterday and we should have been beaten by Huddersfield at home. The gap is down to 9 and we can't even buy a win.
  6. Yes, the manager should hold him accountable. That's his job.
  7. This doesn't reflect well on JDT at all.
  8. By hook or crook we need to bag a winner here. We absolutely need the 3 points when playing against a relegation rival. A draw not good enough.
  9. Just seen Jackson reckons it's a back 3 with Pickering at LCB. Be interesting either way!
  10. Could be but you'd expect Scott W to start in a back 3. Chrisene is quite versatile I believe, I can't see him shifting from the usual 4-2-3-1. Garrett and Chrisene in the wide areas I reckon.
  11. How the hell did we lose to Swansea? They are absolutely shite.
  12. His shirt is hung up in the dressing room.
  13. Oh right I dunno. Thought we were due to play Rangers and then ended up playing someone else because Rangers dropped out.
  14. Not sure how these things work but surely we paid City for the use of their facilities and when Rangers pulled out we played whoever we could find or lose out (assuming a small amount of money). Not sure we could charge someone to play against us when the friendly was for our benefit. Could be wrong though.
  15. Feels like JDT will Start Gallagher and JRC, how long would they last though? 45 mins? I would start both and Sub them off when they Inevitably tire. JDT does have a tendancy to make subs a bit too late but that might have been more down to a lack of options on the bench.
  16. Venkys wouldn't give the green light to sign a 32 year old centre back, can't see them signing off on a soon to be 35 year old.
  17. No idea how good Huddersfield are at set pieces but if Moore has half a brain, he'll have his lot working on them all week and targeting our pathetic attempts to defend against them as a key tactic.
  18. I guess it's keep Gallagher or sell him and bring in another kid on loan. Maybe JDT opted for the first option.
  19. Impossible to predict a win with our current form. Most likely another 2-2 draw having to come from behind, possibly 2-0 down to scrape it. We are guaranteed to concede at least 1 goal, we've gotta hope that JDT either tweaks his approach (he won't) or at least has had a week on the training ground doing some good work.
  20. What does it mean if we are already on a payment plan? (As it says we didn't pay as agreed) (I don't know anything about this sort of stuff)
  21. He's definitely had a mare and he's obviously culpable in conceding the goal but he's not the only one who needs to take the blame. As you both say, the defending was abysmal as well. Just what we need, a poor keeper and a shocking defence. Not sure Pears returning will change too much (but he does need to come back)
  22. Obviously that's an extreme but at professional level it happens in every league up and down the country. A club, playing poorly with players making mistakes, changes managers and the next guy gets more/better out of what he's got. We've seen it at Rovers several times Souness > Hughes, Ince > Allardyce, Coyle > Mowbray. Your example, whilst clearly not being realistic still does keep some of the logic. If you gave the same 11 players to 5 different managers, you'd get varying degrees of results based on their management style/approach. Clearly there would be a limit to what you could achieve.
