  1. Think Weimann is a smart signing tbh. Plenty of championship nous, can play in multiple positions, scores goals and has been captain of Bristol City in the past (so brings leadership)
  2. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/kaide-gordon-reveals-major-liverpool-29653058?int_source=amp_continue_reading&int_medium=amp&int_campaign=continue_reading_button#amp-readmore-target He's been having an absolute nightmare with injuries, basically been injured for 2 years. Does seem like he's highly rated and has played for Liverpool first team on a number of occasions. His only aim for the season is to get minutes "wherever that may be", so must be open to a loan.
  3. How old were Greer and Brown when they lined up under Coyle? (*shudder)
  4. I noticed that Fadz name dropped him in his interview as someone he's been running with over pre season so far.
  5. If its John Fleck, I'll be very disappointed Happy for Garrett to go on loan, I think he needs it but, and I think I'm alone here, I actually think he's a decent player and could develop into a good championship player for us.
  6. Baffling why they wouldn't sign off on Danny Batth a year ago for JDT, citing age but will sign off on the same player a year later and a guy who's nearly 40. Not sure why I'm looking for logic in Venky's world tbf
  7. New keeper needs to be next (after Danny B I suppose) but that and a winger should be our next focus. Unless this flurry of activity is our lot (which would be very worrying)
  8. Purely based on squad numbers alone, surely we'd need to sign him. It's a long old season and he'd be a good squad player. I can't see how we pass up championship experience like that when as you say, it's going to take a while for the new lads to adapt (you would think)
  9. I dunno, it seemed to come together a bit under their new manager towards the end of the season. They won a few on the bounce i think and it was probably with Tyrese Campbell upfront for the majority.
  10. No, he won't sign a new deal. I think JDT was a big factor in his move here, with him leaving not sure how much he wants to be here. Yup, very injury prone, so he wouldn't be missed really. Don't see how he fits into the team now either tbh. Agreed. Think he was viewing us as a stepping stone to a bigger club but injuries have put an end to that.
  11. Really wouldn't surprise me to see Sigurdsson leave.
  12. I guess he's not as good as we all hoped he would be. Shame.
  13. Ah fairs, hadn't seen that. Gave him a bit of a fanfare for an U21 signing.
  14. No.mention of him being an U21's signing.
  15. JE has also been passing around the armband in preseason. Looks like the lack of leadership JE identified has prompted him to see if there are any better captains in the squad, or maybe trying to push some others to be leaders.
  16. Very interesting snippet that. JE and his staff identifying that we lack Pace, Power, Leadership and resilience (doesn't take a genius to work it out tbf) I assume that the key positions of GK, CB, No.9 & a No.7 (or 11) are just the key position is to address the identified weaknesses and would be supplemented with additional signings for squad depth.
