  1. Who knows? Are we out of the current death spiral? Is this the first game of the next resurgence? No idea. We could win emphatically or we could limp our way to a 0-1 defeat. More likely to go with the latter as my confidence in the team and management is at rock bottom.
  2. At the minute it's peaks and troughs. You get your hopes up and think we can beat anyone, to not being able to score a goal or seeing where the next win is coming from. Bristol was about as much of a gimmie as you could get. 19th in the league, not kept a clean sheet since the ice age and poor on the road. And what's happens, because we are on an awful run, they turn up and win. If his tenure was more WLD, he'd be viewed as bang average, which he actually is. He just does it in streaks, which polarises the view of him, depending if we are on a high or a low. At the end of the day, he isn't getting us promoted irrespective of how the results come. It will always be midtable(ish) under him.
  3. Yer I agree. Van Heke deffo look at signing, not sure on Khadra. We'll end up with neither.
  4. Fully aware of the stats but completely ignoring them? The manager is the reason we have only scored 3 goals and won only 3 games. We are in abysmal form and this isn't the first time either. It's always been the same under Mowbray, this season is no different. We won't finish the season in the playoffs. Twists and turns but not for us, we'll continue our fall until we are out of the playoffs and once we're out, we won't be getting back in. Yep they are, QPR won, dropping us to 5th and 4 teams below us ready to capitalise on our woeful run and overtake us.
  5. It's madness to keep him! 3 goals in 13 games, just 3 this calendar year, it's March FFS! Just 3 wins this calendar year. 21st in the form table, that's relegation form btw. In the promotion race? We are literally just sat waiting for Sheff Utd, Luton, QPR, Boro, Forest to all overtake us, which they can all do with their games in hand on us. We are hurtling towards midtable, keeping Mowbray won't arrest that slide. His January business was really poor and that is another contributing factor. Let's not even chuck In the fact that if we concede a goal first, the team is so mentally weak that they can't overturn it. Or the whole Gallagher on the wing nonsense, or the strange treatment of Nyambe (the the RB position in general tbh) etc, etc.
  6. It's 99% guaranteed that this will happen. It's just the same season pattern repeated with an average start, followed by a good run, then an absolutely abysmal run of form, finally ending with another good spell when anything worth playing for is out of reach. This season is no different and we'll end up sat in midtable by the end of it. If Venkys aren't actively looking for a new manager for the summer, I'll be fuming (so, I'll be fuming). They are obviously just sat around waiting to have Mowbray and Waggot to fly out and grovel before they do anything.
  7. We've not had a decent manager under Venkys, let alone paying compo for one. Did we end up paying compensation for Appleton?
  8. Couldn't keep up with the game due to other commitments. No surprise to see the result. All teams below us have games in hand and can overtake us. Another shambolic run Mowbray is taking us on.
  9. He has these odds thoughts at times. Anyone can score goals Anyone can play Right Back
  10. For me, irrespective of what happens between now and the end of the season, I'd be quite happy to part ways with Mowbray. In the unlikely event he gets us promoted, it would be practically unthinkable to let him leave but this season has shown, even though he got us into 2nd place, he's still the same old stubborn Tony, making the same old mistakes and frustrating decisions. As JHRover says at the start of the thread, Venkys ambition will stretch as far as ringing the same agency up and seeing which washed up has been we can rescue off the managerial scrapheap. Pulis, undoubtedly would be installed as our new gaffer. The squad needs an alarming amount of work and Venkys won't provide much backing, FFP the obvious blocker/excuse. In any case, we are in serious trouble next season.
  11. None. Brereton might very well end up signing for a prem club but I don't think he'll be very successful.
  12. In 10 games time he might not have to learn Mowbrays system anymore.
  13. Mowbray said in an interview after the window that we had the chance to sign a striker but opted not to because it's not the way we play. Someone posted the link in the Millwall thread. A decision that looks more and more insane as each goalless game passes.
  14. A new manager would surely see we can't score in a brothel and bring in a striker. If Mowbray is still here, and I suspect he will be, we won't.
  15. I actually don't think we'll be that much better off with BBD back. There should be some improvement but he can't, and shouldn't have to, do it all by himself.
  16. Back to his absolute frustrating best. Season is just going fizzle out to a slide into midtable. Rothwell, Nyambe, Lenihan all walk. No funds to replace. Khadra, Giles and Van Heke all return to their clubs. Next season will be a real struggle.
  17. Unfortunately, he's more interested in wide strikers running up and down in the channels when out of possession than he is about scoring goals. Weird that he's gone from chucking as many strikers as he can onto the pitch, to having as few as he can get away with.
  18. When was the last time we actually posed a threat from set pieces? Under Allardyce at a guess?
  19. Literally admitting he has no plan B or even any intention of creating one.
  20. Absolutely no surprise we didn't score.
  21. He can't figure out who to sub off because Nyambe isn't playing.
  22. This has 0-1 Millwall written all over it.
  23. How the hell has he not scored there?
