  1. If he was one of the 3, as reported by Sharpe, then that leaves JDT and Ainsworth? Maybe?
  2. Shame really, Knutsen would have been a really interesting appointment. Wonder who else got a second interview this week?
  3. I assume that's what the DoF football would be here for but, yeah, a concern for sure.
  4. Can't believe we still haven't appointed a manager. Players back in on Monday, shortened preseason, not looking all that promising with the amount of work the squad needs.
  5. We might very well be looking back in a few months, when everything has gone tits up, at not being able to bring in Carvalhal because our shambles set up tried to impose Lowe and Benson onto him. Shambles
  6. Yeah, no idea what to expect from him if he's going to be the man in the hot seat. Exciting from the point of view that it's an unknown, he had success at Malmo but I don't really have much of a clue of how much of a success that actually is? (See Delia winning x2 leagues with Celtic (with no Rangers)) A risk but they all are and all we can do is back him until he gives us any reason not.
  7. Rooney dealt with a rough hand at Derby. I think he did well enough with what he had and it would be interesting to see how he got on with better players. Don't know anything about JDT.
  8. Yeah, fearing the same. Time is running out, unforgiveable really considering we knew Mowbray was off before last season ended. Carvalhal - Gone elsewhere Farke - Gone elsewhere Delia - Going elsewhere (apparently) I can see a Woodgate/Ferguson panic appointment.
  9. Providing we can actually replace him, i'd let him go, he spends too long on the treatment table. But we'd be down to just 2 centre backs and no experienced player in there
  10. Gotta be something happening today, must be. Players are back on Monday and we can't leave them to Benson and Stig of the dump.
  11. I don't get how Venkys haven't figured this out, after 12 years and a long line of managerial failures?
  12. If, after all this time and (painful) process, we end up hiring Pardew, I think I'll actually cry.
  13. Tried to sign him for Sheff Utd didn't he? (or so reports said)
  14. Shame about Lenihan tbh. He's not the best CB in the league but i think he gets a lot undeserved stick. It now leaves us another body short and more resources need to be found in order to get a replacement in. Another concern is that whoever the potential inbound manager is, and the "vision" the owners and DoF have been pushing haven't been enough to get him to sign on. Unless of course, Boro have just offered a lot more cash.
  15. You would think he would have some input. But I suppose he'll only get the choice of the final 3 (if reports are to be believed) From what he was saying yesterday, feels more like an appointment in the mould of a Delia rather than an Ainsworth.
  16. This DoF seems like a decent appointment, even more random that we've pulled this guy in but let Waggot search for a manager. Nixon's last minute twist being Knutsen?
  17. They will be our options, no doubts really. That's about as good as it's going to get in afraid.
  18. Villas-Boas is surely out of our reach? Didn't he also speak out against Marseille, which ultimately led him to being sacked? Very Little chance Venkys would appoint him, even if he could be persuaded to join.
  19. It's not surprising in the slightest that other clubs have their sh*t together. What are we at now? like 4 weeks+ and still nothing.
  20. Last man standing. So any other candidates we did have, presumably have gone elsewhere, As usual, the shambolic set up, dragging their heels has cost us. And now they only have 1 person left, and they don't want to appoint him. FFS, we are a joke.
  21. Doubt he'd come here either, failed spectacularly at Stoke and then went back to Luton. Don't think he'd do the same thing again. Based on how bad he was at Stoke, not sure i'd want him here.
