That's the way I see it as well. Like Mowbrays previous interview it seemed like he was trying to get Venkys attention "Don't ask me what's going on, ask Mr Waggot", I've had no talks, still planning for next season etc.

Go on, post a link. Poveda should be on the bench tonight. Figured we'd never see him in a Rovers shirt again. Edit: I've read it.

There needs to be a Like+ button or something, for when you need to agree with/appreciate a post with more than just a normal like. Chuck Venus & Lowe on there as well.

🎵We've got Richie Smallwood woah-ee-oo, he's the king of Ewood, woah-ee-oo, he nevers gives the ball away!!🎵 I see your man is at No.3 there, good effort. Not so much Bucko but Trav we should be worrying about not being even in front of Smallwood at the very least.

Everton still have Watford, Palace, Brentford left to play. Even Leicester and Chelsea aren't as tough fixtures as they seemed earlier in the season. Plenty of points available to them. Lampard in charge is obviously a massive handicap but still plenty of scope for them to stay up.

Premier League season 21/22

Liverpool with 85% possession. A premier League record apparently. -
It's not enough of a dead rubber yet.

Didn't Snake sign a new contract that wasn't disclosed by the club and we only found out about it through a leak in the press? Or was that something else?
-
No, you're right, it was a no win situation. But, there was always a huge risk that Rothwell wouldn't be committed after not getting a move. Can't remember if it was Mowbray or just the general media but Rothwell was being painted out as the bad guy, it was all set up for him to move on and for once we actually had (according to Mowbray) a couple of players to come in and replace. Obviously, we can look back in hindsight now but we ended up with the worst situation that could be played out. If we sold him, at the very least we would have had 2 new players, joining a promotion push and would have been keen to impress/make an impact. Of course it might not have worked out but keeping unhappy players is always a risk and inevitably their form/commitment will always dip, even if temporarily. It's just our luck under Venkys that it would work out in the worst way. I suppose selling JR would have probably resulted in the new players being tosh, just the curse of Venkys.

What a shambolic handling of the Rothwell situation on our part. Refusing to cash in. He stays here. Puts in some incredibly underwhelming performances. We end up in laughable form, dropping out of the playoffs altogether. He ends up at Bournemouth anyway for free. Rovers get nothing, not even a committed player for a few months.

Premier League season 21/22

Genuinely couldn't believe I was watching a premier League team defending like that. -
There were plenty of twists and turns... ....just not for us. It was just a straight road of defeats and inept performances.

Premier League season 21/22

That first goal they conceded was comical -
Down to 9th (as it stands) And now 6pts away from 6th (not that it matters)
-
Barnsley down. Might be a few circling for Styles (unsure on his contact status) Huddersfield guaranteed a play off place.
-
Well Mowbray isn't going to West Brom. So we can put that rumour to bed.
-
Arma can't even get off the bench when they need a goal against Burnley.

Dingles 2 up and putting some serious pressure on Everton (although they have a game in hand)
-
Expectations were at an all time low but Mowbray managed 2 defeats over Easter to somehow lower them further. Fully expecting a disjointed performance and loss. I couldn't decide if he will dangle the carrot of hope in this game or the next one but thinking about it, I suspect we won't pick up another point this season. With the amount of players leaving or going back to their clubs, the majority will be in full self protection mode. If Mowbray is also off, he has no motivation to do anything other than sit there with his arms folded. Countdown is on. 3 to go.
-
That's quite some turn around and equally some collapse by us. As has been mentioned by a few on here, we only really needed to maintain some average form to stay in the playoffs but hitting rock bottom of the form table over the last 15 games is an almost remarkable effort on our part.
-
Pretty much nails it for me as well. The only things you can be sure of is, nothing will happen quickly, Venkys won't be proactively dealing with the situation and we will waste a load of much needed time, no matter what happens.
-
I have no doubts Gavlar, in fact, I expect it to work out like that. There is literally no value in doing it though. Just pay him what they would pay him anyway after the last game of the season and wave him off.
-
We'll know in a couple of weeks just how much the club is looking to move forward as the owners will have to resolve the managerial/coaching situation one way or another. My expectations are astonishingly low with that regard. No stories after saying "they were set too appoint Farke but Pasha opted for Phil Brown instead", they either make a sensible, decent appointment for a change or we can assume that it's as you were in Venky HQ.

They'll cash in BBD if the opportunity arrives, absolutely no doubts. They've lost out on any transfer fee for 3 of our players and BBD is probably the only big sale we have In the squad left. Problem of course is that he's now in his last year and has us over a barrel, so clubs will be circling for a bargain and we will be screwed over on price. Mowbray has already been saying to the press that Gallagher could pick up the goalscoring mantel next season.
