  1. Was going to say, letting Gallagher go and bringing in another injury prone, 5 goals per season striker, is exactly what we need to avoid.
  2. Certainly not if those 3 clubs are genuinely interested
  3. There was no timescale on Flecks latest injury but he had to go and have surgery for it. I can't imagine he'll be back anytime soon, he's 32 years old and has played about 2 games in the last 2 years. I can't for the life of me see why he would get a new contract.
  4. Jesus wept, what a start to the summer window. If this is where we are at, another relegation battle looms. When is he even back fit? (Never, I assume)
  5. I know who's tweeted it but assume he's got that stat from somewhere else.
  6. They spent a bit of money, didn't they? Assuming the owners wanted playoffs as a minimum.
  7. Will we be hearing anything from Gregg the Egg, or will it be radio silence until the window shuts?
  8. His lack of consistency is exactly why he isn't good enough. For every good save he makes (against Leicester & Leeds), he makes an absolute clanger (Sheff Wed & Ipswich). He's still poor on Crosses and doesn't command his defence like the better keepers do.
  9. A new No.1 should most definitely be a priority for the summer. Pears isn't good enough. I noticed that after the Leicester game, the interview with JRC, Szmodics & Pickering, they were all quick to praise him. I think the players know that the fans don't rate him and they're trying to get him some backing via the interview.
  10. I'm not convinced by Eustace but to be fair to him, he had 1 task and that was to keep us in the league and he did it. Managed to pick up wins in the 2 hardest fixtures of the season but dropped points against lesser teams, probably not the most straightforward of routes to safety but we stayed up. As noted by others already, he'll need to change his approach next season or it will be much of the same. A lot will come down to recruitment, which is likely to be another summer disaster, so that will hamper him even further.
  11. Shame, a promotion winning manager saw something in him, I would have him starting every week tbh.
  12. We need an entirely new attacking lineup. They'll sell Szmodics at the first opportunity as well. They are an absolute disgrace of an ownership.
  13. Absolutely delighted we stayed up and won today, as every result went against us. If Venkys don't invest though, it's just delaying the inevitable.
  14. Agreed on the no pressure bit. They will probably play their best football of the season against us.
  15. It'll be mildly interesting to see which club Szmodics ends up signing for. That's as good as its going to get this summer.
  16. It would just be typical of having the curse of Venkys over us that there 81 possibilities, only 2 result in relegation for Rovers and yet we still go down.
  17. That's not an awful lot of room for error, just hoping Hull beat Plymouth. These last games for Sheff Wed, Plymouth & Birmingham are just one off games, give everything, form goes out of the window. It's their absolute last chance, they will all be a different animal for these games. We should have had this sown up against Sheff Wdd but instead we turned in one of the most inept performances of the season. Again, should have had it sorted against 10 man Coventry but didn't. I think we've blown our chance and we'll go down on Saturday.
  18. I can't see us getting anything here, so we are relying on other results to bail us out. I'm out for the day for a mates birthday, so should the worst happen, at least I can drink myself into oblivion. I still can't shake the feeling that we are going into league one.
  19. Deliberate relegation is perhaps a bit strong but managed decline is absolutely correct. Next season, should we survive, it'll be more cost cutting, lowering of the wage bill, player sales and no investment. Relegation is technically Deliberate, as its inevitable due to the way the club run/starved of funds.
  20. Yeah a stunning job. Swap him out for Eustace any day.
  21. Don't think you need a tinfoil hat tbh. It is deliberate because they don't spend any money.
  22. According to Fotmob.com, this is correct. More telling is that the first Rovers player to enter that list is Szmodics in 39th place. Whom we are likely to be flogging at the first opportunity. A 1 man team and we are taking the 1 out.
  23. Shouldn't even be a question. If there is no decent sell on clause as part of that deal, someone needs sacking and removing from Footballing roles for the rest of their lives.
