  1. Sorry, this is letting Tomasson off the hook. All the above is true but that doesn't excuse the way the team was set up and played today. And it's not as if today was unusual, it's been the same for weeks and weeks, the team is in freefall and heading for the bottom 3 at a rapid rate. This is all down to Tomasson, and if he's feeling hard done by and sulking then it's a poor show and unprofessional on his part. He needs to show some respect to the fans, work with what's he's got and get the team picking up points again. Even some draws would be encouraging.
  2. Not a single post on this thread despite another loss to a relegation rival. You have to assume fans still aren’t worried - or do they think now it’s inevitable?
  3. Losing at home to a relegation rival is the mark of a club on the way down. Even a draw would have been acceptable but we couldn’t even manage that. Tomasson’s position would appear to be untenable. If he wasn’t going already he should resign
  4. Yes agreed. Results are appalling. His time is up
  5. Another defeat. Still laughing? Goldfish 1 Barn Owl 0
  6. I don’t find today’s performance and the last few games I’ve seen live including the debacle at Wrst Brom that funny. I don’t know why you do
  7. I hope you’re including Tomasson in that. This is his team out there today
  8. Moran has been poor for many weeks, should be on the bench. Team needs changing half time
  9. You got it right this sentence. They were afraid of what he might come out with. I still doesn't make much sense though because presumably he'll have his say when he leaves, which could be today according to some
  10. We all know Venkys take very little interest in what happens at Ewood, unless money is involved And we all know who is responsible for the day-to-day management of the club. The latest farce is yet another example of their incompetence and poor decision-making. The club could function properly, even with our arrogant, absentee owners. But these aren't good people in the Ewood boardroom. That must be obvious
  11. 253 all out and another mountain to climb. England got away with it in the first Test but batting fourth is unlikely to happen again. The Times made England favourites to win the second Test which never made much sense
  12. The mess at Rovers isn’t all down to Venkys. This is down to the amateurs and incompetent management in charge at Ewood. It’s not unusual sadly. Tomasson has had an eye opener over the past 2 seasons on how this declining little island operates.
  13. If Tomasson does go I hope Broughton goes with him. I don’t like the dual role model and would prefer a traditional manager in charge of player recruitment and the team. Broughton as far as I can see has added little extra value in the players he’s recruited, one or two good ones but plenty of duds too.
  14. The rumours don’t sound right. Managers who know they are going don’t normally hang on for one more game. They walk away and don’t look back. Let’s see but I’d be surprised if he left after the QPR game
  15. How can If he's going I'm sure he'd go on his own terms and resign rather than be sacked. None of this is a surprise though: this window must have been the final straw for him
  16. Cheer Gregg. Another corker
  17. It's a surprise he's still here to be honest. I thought he would have walked by now. He can't need the money so I'm not sure what's keeping him at Ewood except pride and perhaps a desire to see the season out. I also don't understand why he puts up with the coach / DoF model either. He's be far better for himself and the club as an old fashioned manager with responsibility for signings and coaching
  18. This transfer window has been a sticking plaster over our structural problems to get us through the next 4-5 months. What they've done is kick the can down the road, in others words put off hard decisions until the summer. They're hoping the court case resolves itself and the club can perhaps move forward. But there's a possibility that it won't - and we'll still be in this same situation in the run-up to next season. As it stands, with so many loanees and the squad constantly in flux, there will need to be another rebuilding job in the summer, possibly searching for a new manager too. And so it continues
  19. I'd have taken any money on offer for Gallagher. The Ennis is fee is baffling but welcome. He's lucky he's still a professional footballer
  20. With money on the table we should have let him go to Ipswich. He had a good game against Wrexham by his standards but just doesn't offer enough at Championship level and I don't see the point in keep picking him with this new US lad on the books. Did Leonard go out on loan anywhere? He certainly needs to because he's another who struggles in the Championship
  21. Fleck is 32 and the Coventry loanee 37 so you have to say the need for some experience in the squad has been addressed. Fleck's arrival should mean JRC can stay on the right flank, where he is best. Wharton has gone but add in the American lad and getting money for Ennis and the window could have been worse. Let's see how it goes
  22. From the BBC Said Benrahma's loan move from West Ham to Lyon has collapsed. They say everything had been agreed but West Ham forgot to enter information in Fifa's transfer software. Does Broughton work for West Ham too?
  23. Why assume they'd go if we were relegated?
  24. Two conkers and a dead frog maybe. I don't understand why Stoke would pay anything.
  25. So goodbye to Niall Ennis. Have to say I've never seen a player look so disinterested / unfit / lacking in ability in a Rovers shirt - and there's been a few candidates over the years. Ennis was a Broughton "discovery" I believe. Thank you Gregg.
