There’s always an excuse for Tomasson. You’re one of the culprits -

Tomasson has given up IMO and is going through the motions until the season ends and he can go. I’m surprised he’s still here to be honest. -

I’m not watching today but I don’t need to to know that -
Rovers fans should be excited .. it’s the 4th round of the FA Cup. A great chance to reach the 32 and possibly go farther. It’s a relief from the worry of a possible relegation battle. It’s football, and we want to win. Why wouldn’t any fan be excited?

Nice work if you can get it. I bet he dines out on that back home -
People took more pride back then. There were always those who made a mess of the environment but not as many as now. The main difference is the litter is rarely cleaned up -the same litter has been hanging around our local roads for years. Council cutbacks partly to blame but what is the Highways Agency - which is paid more than £150m a year to keep the roadsides clean - doing?
-
The whole country is a disgrace - everywhere you travel there is litter. The casual littering from motorists is probably worse than the fly-tipping with the roadsides inundated with filth I travelled on 100 miles of autobahn in Austria and Germany recently and I counted fewer than 10 pieces of litter in the whole journey. France isn't quite as good but still way better than here (Paris excepted). Heavens knows what they think when they come over here.

Who was that elderly big Spanish lump we hired for about half a season - Yordi?? This Birmingham player sounds like him. Desperation comes to mind -

Gallagher would have been more use at West Brom as a centre half after Hyam's woeful performance. The question is why rarely wins headers in the box as a centre forward -
Begs the questions of who are they and why do they think they can speak on behalf of all Rovers fans ManU fans have been protesting about the Glazers for many years - as have fans of the owners of other clubs - so why shouldn't Rovers fans protest about ours? Protests don't have to be confined to owners either. Failing managers should be targets too
-
Pride. Sometimes called arrogance. Refusal to admit they got it wrong and make a big mistake. It’s a big thing among Indians, probably worse amongst its elite. We’ve gone from the pending file to the bottom of the drawer. They’ll probably get the file out every year or so to see if their problem child has improved, then tuck it away again for another day And so it goes on

Sounds good. Have you spoken to the sports editors and / or news editors of local media asking why they haven't used your stuff? It could be it's not quite what they're looking for, or maybe in the wrong format, or maybe they would prefer to contact the Trust when needed for comments on breaking news stories. To that end the Trust needs to make itself the media's main contact point for the views of Rovers fans - this of course involves building relationships with individuals and time and effort by Trust members. An appointed Trust spokesman would also need to be comfortable talking to the media.
-
They're billionaires (apparently). We're nothing to them, except a minor item at the bottom of the balance sheet. They could just stick Rovers in the metaphorical bottom drawer as a bad investment gone wrong, to be forgotten about and allowed to wither on the vine. We could slip down the divisions and into non-league and still they might not bother. There's very little that is easily apparent that would ever force them to go away
-
I'd have thought it could act as a kind of unofficial mouthpiece for Rovers fans. Trust members are supporters and aware of the mood around Ewood, so in event of a contentious issue (eg, the Cambridge ticket controversy), it could release a statement giving the fans' point of view. It might provide a comment after one of Tomasson's press conferences, backing (or otherwise) his views on the problems with the squad and the club's difficulties in making signings There's lots that can be done to get the Trust (and Rovers) more in the media spotlight and yes, I do realise it does depend on people coming forward and putting in the time and effort

Interesting From the outside the club appears to be reaching a critical point. We could be heading down a financial plug hole off the field and about sink into the lower divisions on it. The gloves should be off IMO. Hard questions need to be asked, and answers given. No fobbing off from the "management" The Trust may already have done so (I don't know) but it would also help if they could speak directly to the organ grinders and not the monkeys. Regular and hard hitting press releases would be good. This isn't criticism, all the best to all those involved.
-
It would be interesting to know how you define "critical friend" of the club, whether you are more critical or more of a friend. The fact you praised the owners in the same post suggests it is the latter. This isn't to denigrate the valuable work that the Trust does, but there must come a point where you realise you're banging your head against a wall and the time has come to adopt a more critical and public approach.
