  1. There is an upside to this farago. Tomasson leaving next week should lighten up the wage bill.
  2. Yes, I'll be going to Leicester if we can overcome Brum. Poor draw though - wanted Fleetwood or Wrexham at home
  3. Away to Leicester if we manage to beat the Blues. Could have been Wrexham or Grimsby or Fleetwood but we get a Premier League club away
  4. I wouldn't say you were bad, just mistaken 28 hours until the window closes..... any news?
  5. Gluttons as we are for punishment our group is thinking of making the trip to the replay. Does anyone know if we can pay on the gate?
  6. Wouldn't be a surprise. I'm sure this farce isn't the sales pitch he was given when he joined the club
  7. Less than 36 hours to go to the deadline and here we are again, scrambling around at the bottom of the barrel hoping to get "someone (anyone) in" Same as the last transfer window, and the one before that, and the one .... Tomasson getting a lesson in how this club operates
  8. It's in the second half of the season where the strong show their mettle. This season is playing out exactly the same as last season. Good start but squad / manager not good enough to sustain it. And lack of transfer activity in January
  9. Would Broughton know who and what you're talking about?
  10. Same reason as last season - it's a false position.
  11. Don’t bank on any of them. I’d say two striker is a priority. Gallagher needs to be written off as a bad job, Brereton it’s plain has his mind on Spain and there’s no one else’s really.
  12. Disappointed about that. We won’t be in the playoffs so am hoping for a good cup run. Fingers crossed for the replay and at least we’re in the draw
  13. Brereton has been off form - perhaps this Spain move has been weighing on his mind? On the other hand he lost form in the 2nd half of last season, albeit after a bad injury. I'm optimistic now his future is settled he'll put his tripe out in the last few months at Ewood. He seems a genuinely nice lad who's enjoyed his time with us and he'll want to do the right thing and give the fans a reason to remember him in the right way by banging in a few goals
  14. I don;'t know the man but he shouldn't have laughed at Lenihan. All players are proud of their ability and have ambitions and Lenihan was not unreasonable in hoping for a top flight move. There are plenty of defenders worse than him in the Premier League
  15. So here we are, 3 days until the window closes and we've got one player in on loan until the end of the season He can't get in Huddersfield's team at present and is out of form but hey, let's hope he does well In this any different to the last window and most of the others in recent years - and is it a wake-up call for Tomasson as to how this dysfunctional club operates? I'm sure he was expecting some better players to be coming in and would have been promised such by the management when he took over. Maybe he's about to become as disappointed and disillusioned as the rest of us
  16. England well and truly made a mess of that run chase.
  17. Yep, new regime but same old failed strategies. Common demoninators are one up the food chain
  18. The lad can do it at Championship level clearly and would be an asset to the team if he's got his head on right Offer him a deal at less than half his current wages on the last day and leave it on the table
  19. Hasn't it already started?
  20. The best run clubs plan ahead, do all the groundwork in November / December, get the deals lined up, negotiations done and dusted, and signatures only required in January. Then there are other clubs that fly by the seats of their pants and hope for the best
  21. You're not the only one - it's like being in a school playground when he's on here ..... because it shows all his best moments and cuts out the rubbish. Hardly surprising I remember that full back we signed from Berlin a while back - looked great on U-Tube but turned out to be useless Let's hope this new lad Thomas isn't the same.
  22. Blimey, did his pass the medical because he must have been taking something when he said that
  23. Saka cuts in from the right on his left foot all the time and is one of England's best players. Robben did the same at Bayern. Now I know our new lad isn't in their league but it can be effective
  24. Looking at his "assists" on t'internet, alot of them have come from corners. Thomas certainly has a good 3-iron in his left boot, driving hard, flat balls into the 6-yard box but who's going to get on the end of them? Certainly not Gallagher or Vale
