  1. Also for the second cup game in a row, what is going on with the turnstiles. I missed the Khadra goal due to farcical queues, cant handle minimal crowds in the Jack Walker.
  2. Lots of slow and boring football in the main, Rankin Costello the best player and Dack a one man goal threat witb Brereton misfiring. Central midfield is our big problem, @chaddyrovers you are becoming a one man fan club regarding Morton like with Vale, not very good and impossible not to assume that he plays to appease Liverpool. Buckley is too casual in there too. Kaminski had a stinker, Wharton is an accident waiting to happen and Gallagher continues to be a donkey.
  3. I think it is a bit naive to even assume that someone on the money that he is on and unlikely to get a job close to his current salary would leave due for those reasons.
  4. They were probably right to sack Richardson but approaching Yaya and then appointing Kolo was bizarre.
  5. Have you conceded somewhat that talk of Tomasson playing down a healthy budget is a little farfetched?
  6. Can only presume that the inclusion of Vale is a desperate attempt to stick to your guns regardless of performance. Hopefully he will be sent away on loan
  7. A centre back from Burton? Its not the Coventry player.
  8. None of the 7 signings Broughton has overseen have resale potential really.
  9. Waggott is very poor at his job and under interested owners would not stay in post but he is not the sole problem.
  10. The owners intervened to prevent Rothwell and Brereton being sold. The latter had bids after Mowbray had left.
  11. Legitimately? Kaminski, Ayala, Wharton, Pickering, Travis, Buckley, Brereton, Gallagher, Dolan. The majority of a team that finished 8th, with Dack returning and 3 permanent additions bought as direct replacements for the 3 leavers. The main difficulty is our owners allowing key assets to run their contracts down.
  12. Will it be another window defined by players we couldn't sign rather than any we do? Porteous, Gelhardt and Undav. Also, we were meant to be the push of a button away for the signings of Undav, Porteous and that keeper last week...
  13. The game against Huddersfield was one of our most boring of the season, and that is saying something. His comment about an attacking style just shows that players will say anything.
  14. I have always been staunchly against the idea of "writing off seasons" and I was saying that signing a loan suggests that such an assumption is clearly false. The club has lacked ambition ever since these owners came in.
  15. I hope Porteous wasnt the only player we had in mind on a permanent deal now that we have failed to complete that deal.
  16. I agree, I think some have read too much into the comments made to the press.
  17. There has been plenty of talk on here about that. @J*B and @Mike E have said they believe similar.
  18. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/10118305/kevin-nisbet-ryan-porteous-hibs-millwall/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=ScottishSunSportTwitter&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1674681927-1 Porteous is going to Watford.
  19. A short term signing which further highlights the inconsistencies of any theories that we are writing off this season and shows how it is clearly not true. Im not saying that we arent also trying to plan longer term but the amount of focus on projects etc is predominantly an attempt to buy time and reduce expectation.
  20. No mention of a potential permanent deal and Broughton mentioned players cheap due to expiring contracts and short term loans so seemingly only here for the rest of the season.
  21. https://downatthemac.proboards.com/thread/117762/sorba-thomas?page=33 Not necessarily the most flattering thread. Big question marks over his attitude and his contribution aside from his set pieces, but clearly has ability as I have seen when I have seen him for Huddersfield in the past.
  22. I dont know he wont, but he certainly doesnt have a track record of scoring. If he has been signed based on his goalscoring credentials then it makes no sense. I suspect he will play from his favoured position from the right and maybe he will also rightly or wrongly play as a wing back if we ever go to a back 5 as he has filled in there occasionally. I would imagine that Markanday might leave on loan, for me he should be in the forefront of Tomasson's mind for a start but he may aswell go and play week in week out elsewhere if he is not fancied. If we get a striker then we could have Brereton, Dolan, Dack, Szmodics, Thomas, Hedges, a new striker and Gallagher. I would let loan Vale go ideally permanently but failing that on loan to League 1. I will be very disappointed if there is no option to buy though. For a club thag bangs on about this project we have a very short term focused attack.
