  1. Not to repeatedly show one team consistently to repeatedly inconvenience match going fans. Surely even you think this is too much.
  2. Why is it important when it will happen either way?
  3. It may in a strange way be good for Tomasson that the transfer window was such a disaster. Our level of performances for the last couple of months in particular has been very poor, yet that is forgotten about now. Any drop in the neat future will not be blamed on him and it feeds into the narrative of him overachieving. Even talk by some of him having enough and leaving.
  4. The players and manager will be supported as they always are. Petty to imply otherwise. The crowd will be lower because of the stupid kick off and maybe people being aggrieved at people above the manager. Kaminski Rankin Costello Ayala/Phillips Wharton Pickering Travis Buckley Thomas Dack Dolan Brereton Subs: Pears, Phillips/Carter, Morton, Hedges, Gallagher, Szmodics, Edun
  5. The lack of 3pm Saturday games is an absolute joke. Sky as we know dont care about supporters.
  6. He has said that we are overachieving loads of times. The club clearly is keen to downplay expectations.
  7. Broughton has had 2 windows to sort a competent striker and has fucked both up. Not confident he can make it 3rd time lucky.
  8. Grabban or Martin would be desperate and scraping the barrel, better than the useless Vale though. Surely youd prefer Vale to play? I dont get how you still have total, 100% faith in Broughton. Even if you was unsure of him at this stage and unsure of how it will go, that would be balanced. Disappointing transfer windows overall thus far.
  9. I dont get how the unsuccessful deals can be put down to misfortune when the successful ones arent. Pretty simple to me, I judge on what is actually done and what isnt done, and poor so far.
  10. If he is "unlucky" not to sign a striker, is he also lucky that we managed to get Hyam in the circumstances that we did?
  11. We owe them more than we need to because of the horrendous way in that they run the club. The Bury comparison is always thrown out by their biggest defenders but it is not a comparable case. They repeatedly appoint incompetent people to do their work with seemingly neither their ability nor the autonomy to change much. Whether a protest would have any point is a different matter, it didn't work back then and I was part of it, but I am not sure if there is even any point any more. But targeting individuals beneath them will not solve much.
  12. This sort of thing happened prior to Waggott. He is a problem because he is clearly not fit for purpose, but not THE problem.
  13. https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/transfer-news/nottingham-forest-lewis-obrien-blackburn-8108176 Cooper and Forest not happy with us.
  14. I saw on twitter that Alan Nixon reported that Steven Caulker has left Wigan already. Shaun Maloney has just come out and denied it and said that he is due back training tomorrow!
  15. Due to the whole political shit storm that has followed the embarrassment of the administrative mistakes, I think nobody is really looking at Broughton in regards to the signings he has made or is trying to make. He has based his whole tenure on seemingly lowering expectation for the first season in a project, so why is so much focus on the short term? The Brereton situation is likely out of his hands, but you would presume that if he was genuine, that loans would be a last resort, not the foundations for an intended busy January. The specifics in midfield are particularly curious. He was specific in pinpointing how we wanted one in the summer to avoid "blocking pathways" for Adam Wharton and Garrett. We signed Morton who according to Broughton's warped theory didn't block those pathways as much. Come January, we try to get O'Brien over the line after a 6 week chase and also another young midfielder, how is that consistent with any of the previous? You look at Hyam and Brittain, those deals made sense, direct replacements for Lenihan and Nyambe. Otherwise, little has made sense.
  16. Before he came, the likes of Scott Wharton, Rankin Costello, Buckley, Dolan, Carter etc all signed contracts, we haven't had a problem pre-Broughton of tying down youngsters.
  17. If it is aimed at anything below Venkys, it is pointless.
  18. Where are these rumours of it being toxic from?
  19. Some people seem to have been pacified by a non-interview in which any time the discussion went towards what went wrong, he had the "I can't say, awaiting appeal" line ready and waiting. Him taking the blame isn't some noble deed, it is his responsibility, pretty simple. Even beyond the paperwork fiasco, the "project" makes little sense to me. He has banged on about blocking pathways and specified the midfield area, going against most who feel we are light of quality and experience in there. Yet he claims to have been in discussions regarding O'Brien for around 6 weeks, why the sudden change? It's hard not to get the picture that the window was a case of going for what you can regardless of strategy. We do need to look at the short term aswell as the long term but focusing on loans and of course keeping Brereton this season undermines it all.
  20. There is talk about long term plans and how next season is the one to judge but the focus in the window was clearly loans, so there is no consistency. How anyone can hold any faith that Broughton is the key to a long term plan at this stage is beyond me.
  21. Needs to go, not good enough, 100%. Yet not even the main problem.
  22. Until the owners go, stuff like this will keep happening.
  23. I judge a director of football in regards to recruitment by who has signed, not sob stories. Few questions: Why did we even want a central midfielder when Broughton kept going on about blocking pathways? What changed? Why are we focusing on loans when the project is long term and people keep dismissing promotion chances? Does any of the blame regarding an inability to sign a striker (not specifically Kone or Undav, just in general, as you said we should have a big shortlist) fall on Broughton? How do you rank the window out of 10? Has your faith in the project under Broughton even slightly changed? Why did the owners not sack Silvester when DJ Campbell didn't sign that time due to a fax issue?
  24. Because as I said, he has overseen an underwhelming window and a terrible one. It is all unplanned and he bangs on about projects then tries to focus on loans rightly or wrongly that does not fit into the nonsense he talks. I have no faith in this project and think anyone who does is naive. Silvester should have long gone too.
  25. He oversees transfers and has overseen an underwhelming window and now a woeful one. Sylvester should also have been removed even after the DJ Campbell incident.
