  1. He definitely has a bit of movement and can sniff out goals, hopefully that translates to senior competitive football as you dont teach that. Still very slight and soft and will struggle physically, understandable at his age so why we shouldnt have to rely on him.
  2. Didnt learn much today that we didnt already know. Girona were far, far better than us as youd expect, some of their play was levels above. Blind a class act, both wingers especially number 31 toyed with us. Rankin Costello looked like hed got injured he was run so ragged. We know the attacking side of our game is non existent. Leonard will struggle in the Championship, just a boy really without any physical presence, when he bulks out maybe that instinct will really come to the fore down the line. Markanday gifted an easy goal but otherwise bar working hard I thought struggled. And Dolan isnt up to it as we know. Thought giving Ennis 4 minutes was bizarre but he looks overweight. No game time which is hopefully why on his chance to run in behind and show his supposed pace, he looked like he was going in slow motion. Any news on Gallagher and Hedges?
  3. Doesnt suit that deeper role. Lacks the intelligence to thrive in an area where you get such little time on the ball. Since that good spell under Mowbray in a free role, he has really stagnated.
  4. Talk of Travis "not suiting" how we want to play and how Buckley is at the start of the summer. Buckley clearly not thought of nearly as highly by Tomasson.
  5. Maybe Gallagher has picked up an injury. Seems strange not to play any of our 5 attackers plus also seems unlikely that Ennis will feature.
  6. Of course, it only matters who the manager picks and our opinion is not really relevant. But thats the point of being in here. No player is perfect but I think there is a noticeable gap in quality. If Kaminski made a mistake, that alone wouldnt change my mind.
  7. I will be behind whoever too, as will everyone, goes without saying. But I do care in that having seen both lots, one is clearly better than the other. I think last season, a mistake was made not putting Kaminski back in. But it was a different choice in that Pears perhaps hadnt done enough to be dropped as he had the gloves at that time. From a new season, surely back to Kaminski and I think he will. That risk of upsetting the applecart has lessened because Pears wouldnt be considered dropped.
  8. I would like to think that tonight will be the second team and tomorrow against good opposition that our first team will get a final strong test. That being said, the official website seems unsure and we did go stronger last Friday over Saturday.
  9. And if he doesnt think that better keeper is Kaminski then I seriously question that judgement. With them both starting afresh, I would expect Kaminski as number 1 and he started last week in the stronger team with Pears playing with the kids.
  10. That would be the far better keeper then.
  11. Surely it would make more sense to have 90 minutes for one in one game and one in the other. Would expect/hope to see the first team v Girona, so that would include Kaminski. Hope Ennis can get some minutes.
  12. There are loads of younger fans on twitter who back Venkys to the hilt and swallow all of the shit fans malarky. The likes of Rhodes and Brereton are the best theyve seen.
  13. I do and whilst he might have more than 2 good games a season, he is anonymous more often than not and there is a reason why he can never nail down a regular spot.
  14. They are friendlies. Obviously all players have had such minimal involvement at some stage, but it is a huge and unfair ask to expect them to remedy a lack of attacking options, with those we do have having proven that they don't score very often. January should be a top up/adjustment window, the main business needs doing now.
  15. Markanday cant be seen as a bonus, thats the problem. Only having Hedges, Dolan and Gallagher fit means we only have him and Leonard as back up, neither has started a league game for us. They probably have less than 400/500 league minutes between them. Thats the situation weve been left in.
  16. The irrational negativity specific to Blackburn.
  17. Giving the manager stick? Not his fault, its all down to the owners.
  18. Not sure who that leaves for tomorrow. Pears, the Whartons, Buckley, Pickering if fit, barely anything else. Bar Pickering if he is back to fitness, that team I think will start on the first day if we don't get any other injuries.
  19. If we can not bring in players potentially without a prior outgoing, our squad will quite possibly be the same size. Smaller than the squad that lacked depth last season.
  20. It might be not the most pressing issue but it isn't a bad post, I am happy to hear about the potential for safe standing.
  21. Again without going into details, was the offerings in the concourse on the agenda? Was hoping that Preston's changes may be replicated with it being Sodexo.
  22. https://www.pnefc.net/news/2023/july/an-update-from-sodexo-live/ Doubled till points and Cruzcampo at Preston under Sodexo. Will we get the same?
  23. The thing is, the fans forum isn't intended to deal with these issues. It's bad timing that it happens to coincide with us selling one of our main assets for a pittance, there are rumours about our managers future and our squad looks very thin, I don't really think that members being sworn to secrecy until official minutes are released is the best of looks, it makes it feel like those specific fans are privy to details no one else is allowed to know, and much of what was said about the above matters may not be relevant in the couple of weeks it usually takes for the minutes to come out, but there you go. But then again, as I said, it isn't something intended for on field matters.
