The same owners that have prevented us from moving forward in 11 years will still be here in the summer. Obsession with picking apart the managers pre match interviews are still a pathetic load of bollocks. I heard his interview on the official site, he was on about the players finishing the season and making it one to remember for the rest of their lifes. He was also discussing how we could get the necessary points to achieve that. Does that fit the narrative that he is fed up beyond caring? Maybe not.

There is no justification for owners removing the autonomy of the manager on transfers. End of. Especially when you try and justify it by ignoring the successful transfers overseen and assume that only poor ones would come in. -
We cant change anything, the manager, the tactics, the subs, the transfers, nothing. What sort of backwards logic is it that we cant change it therefore we should accept it and never mention it? Why have the messageboard at all? It will keep holding us back and as long as it does ill keep moaning about it as will many others.

Khadra is not fit. -
Venkys are never in a rush. They dont give a shit. In the summer when I moan that other teams are gaining an advantage on us as we wait for Venkys to allow whoever to fly over and have a few hours of their precious time, you will overpower everyone on here saying how "thats just how they work" as if that token line in anyway justifies that way or indeed makes its seem reasonable. Same every summer.

Mowbray said yes to the first 2, Deyo is a no, Brereton not back until tonight, maybe on the bench. -
Why would they hand out token caps if they didnt think a player was capable? The issue with international football, he can make himself unavailable if he doesnt like it.

Why does every share allotment make Mowbray a very lucky man? Makes no sense. That wont ever be seen by him, its merely Venkys raising funds to cover expenses outweighing income, moreso than need be due to themselves, but something that most/all Championship clubs need to do. -

No Gallagher under any circumstances in the 11. If Brereton has to be on the bench, play Dack off Gallagher, with Giles left and Hedges right. -
Brereton flying to Chile and only being able to return today means that he wont start on Saturday. He in theory could have started with 2 weeks in England. Thank there are no more Chile games this season, that will likely affect us ever and the whole circus will hopefully ideal away with them out of of the World Cup qualifiers.

Where did assumption ever come from that the main thing stopping Venkys from spending is more is FFP? Do people think they otherwise would? Utter nonsense. -
Said in the LT yesterday. There is a chance fot Van Hecke and Lenihan is a potential for Blackpool.

Mowbray, the summer and beyond

Has recruitment been awful in the last 2 seasons? Kaminski has been a good signing, Pickering, Dolan, Van Hecke, Elliott, Khadra too. -
Credit others when we win and criticise Mowbray when we lose.
-
Your wreckless driving analogy is not comparable in any way shape or form. Both tactical decisions I like everyone else found them to be illogical. But we won the Derby game yet due credit is not given for that whereas he would be rightfully criticised if we had lost. There were attempts to replace Armstrong, just failed ones hindered by a minimal budget. He tried to get Obafemi in a swap but he didnt want to come, and he also tried to get Maja on loan but he failed a medical.
-
Gallagher at right back was undoubtedly bizarre but it was for about 10 minutes. Johnson as a false 9 was equally bizarre but we won that game so he fixed that error. "Inciting" fans too, nonsense. And Armstrong wasn't replaced because the owners wouldn't allow any of the proceeds to be reinvested.

I don't get why scraping into the play offs would diminish the achievement at all, ultimately all that matters is where you finish, not by what sort of margin. If you win the league on GD, it doesn't make it any less impressive. -

Fortune or no fortune, their name is on the trophy and thats all that matters. The team that deserves to win a trophy wins a trophy. We had fortune in the semi final with a dodgy penalty. -

Not to do with the pathetic potential decision to move the Preston game, with zero thought of the fans by Sky and/or the police. But we hear every single week how brilliant and exciting the Championship is, with the same cliches thrown in. Fulham have run away with a procession towards the title, Bournemouth have barring a miracle got 2nd sewn up too I would say and at a push, the relegation battle is 3 from 4, with Reading having a buffer. -

Can Venkys be trusted to do anything right, no, but if we cling onto someone purely to avoid the potential next case scenario, is there point even continuing at all? -

Sky's constant meddling is becoming a real pain. The games should be sorted before the season starts, a much more even split so everyone knows where they stand. The Monday night slot should also be removed, it just shows the disregard that Sky and the authorities have for the supporters. If it is for the police, thats bollocks, Preston v Rovers does not need moving for police reasons, and I am sure that it would just be an excuse. Pissed off if it is true either way, a Saturday away at Preston would have been enjoyable, a Monday night, many just wont bother. -

I was surprised to see 2 or 3 people around me against Derby say to those around them that they want the manager gone or that he needs to be changed. The moans and groans were just the normal frustration when things arent going well but I got the impression that peoples opinion of Mowbray in the ground has changed -

Announcement in June/July it is, due to unforeseen delays, and with an increase. -
When Mowbray came, Lenihan was a very underwhelming utility player, he was crap in midfield, he has since become very much a centre back and a leader at the back. Mowbray entrusted Raya to be our number 1 soon after he joined. Travis had not played senior football before Mowbray. Nyambe was only just breaking through and (contrary to popular belief) has pretty much been mainly first choice throughout. We don't know if more or less development would have taken place without Mowbray, but lets at least credit him with developing the players that he has, which he has, undoubtedly.
