  1. Actually 1864, we created enough good chances in the first half to be 3-1 up at the break. Another super performance from the blues.
  2. It's all about opinions.... but to call the Turk a liability is wide of the mark. Maybe your exile means you didn't see his performance during the week.
  3. I'm not sure an elbow in the face counts as a real tackle.
  4. Apart from the final pass, the goalkeeper and can i add a lack of fight or desire to compete all over the pitch or close down our players or make a real tackle all night or have a single chance after the first 30 seconds. Apart from all that yes, they were a decent team.
  5. A super performance from the boys, albeit against unconvincing opposition. As enjoyable evening as I've had in recent years.
  6. And there was me thinking it was a reference to a film which protrayed an episode in the Second World War when a group of young lads - many the same age as those who follow Rovers - sacrificed their lives by flying over Germany - which at the time was under the Nazi rule and was busy mrudering six millions jews, Gypsies, eastern Europeans, labour leaders, etc - in an attempt to flood the Ruhr valley. Now football supporters singing about that would be sick, don't you think?
  7. I think it's a reasonable question. I could also ask we some Rovers fans start singing about the IRA when they've had half a larger. What's wrong with "Get into 'em"?
  8. Lucas at fault for the second........now John Curtus might have got that one. Only joking Rev.
  9. Bloody hell, Inspector 'Drog's got it right twice in a month!
  10. I'm reminded of the man who has a watch that doesn't work, but gets the time right twice a day.
  11. Rev - we created a host of chances against Everton but took only one. I thought we were very poor yesterday, but.... Two new strikers bedding in - and an unsettled defence, with the half fit Reid sat in front. And for once Prof 'Drog is right, about the Savage booking limiting his capacity to close down. We've Nelsen and Tugay to come back too, so no reason to panic.
  12. I thought he was solid, but he was playing against Kevin Kilbane!
  13. Is it jsut me or do Everton have one of the highest proportions of bone/meatheads in their ranks. At one point they sang ###### ground/no fans. Been to Goodison Park recently?
  14. As usual a bit too much doom and gloom. A game we should have won with ease against a bumbling Everton team led by £15 million of carthorse. A patched up defence looked at ease until we were put under pressure, but that will be solved by Nelsen and ....the Dutch lad and a few games Sections of the quulity press are lauding the two strikers and rightly so. We have a couple of decent players up front who combined well. Worth mentioning that Reid didn't look fully fit and we missed the option of bringing on Tugay in the last 15 minutes to help us retain the ball. If there is a criticism to be made I think Hughes got the substitutions wrong. Mokeona should have been plonked in fron of the back four for the last ten minutes and one of the strikers taken off. Points would have been in the bag.
  15. What a bunch of miserable sods we are. The club announces an increase in season ticket sales and it passes with virtually no comment on the MB. If it was bad news I'm sure the usual suspects would be banging on about the demise of the club.....
  16. I like it. Please take the ###### out of our players, fans and whoever: I need cheering up after the weekend. Keep the flash it fits into the whole ireverant feel. It certainly fits into my human computer interface design principle.
  17. Watching the clip, I think it is the same one I was referring to earlier in the thread.
