Season Tickets (inc. Renewal Poll)
Miller11 replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Being so dismissive of other people might be something folk have a problem with. The tone of some of your posts belies the lack of ego you speak about. I truly hope YOU (or someone, anyone!) do manage to have a positive influence on the owners and help bring about improvements. Getting “others” onside, collaborating, sharing and generally being respectful would likely increase YOUR chances of achieving this, and ensure you had the fans backing if and when YOU do. -

Admiral made the 1980 England shirt, which is an absolute classic. Diadora make some really good footy boots, and the Borg Elite is one of the best trainers ever produced. Macron makes Donnay look premium. -

Budget brand, dreadful quality. Sunday league standard. -

Bloody hell Joe, it wasn’t meant to be taken that seriously! Like you said, we have no idea who it is, just like I didn’t when I mentioned Macron as a joke. Unless you have some insider knowledge and I’ve made a lucky, or should I say unlucky, guess? -

No, I don’t think he will be. I do though think he is one of very few players who actually suits this formation of Mowbray’s. -

One in agreement here. I’ve hammered Brereton in the past. I don’t think he’s a good technical player, but this season he has developed a hell of a work ethic and he has a knack of being able to carry the ball through the middle third really effectively. Really clicked for him today. Elliott I think has had a very good season on a personal level, but I feel we carry him for large periods of most games, he is dreadful defensively and like all the hype surrounding him, it’s all about him. Technically very good, but a luxury for a bottom half championship team. -

Get fans excited for Puma or Hummel and deliver Macron. Its the Waggott way! -
Really hope you are right. If this is the case though it’s absolute madness! He’s not a competent advisor. A new man should’ve been given enough time to at least assess things themselves, if not to salvage something from this absolutely disastrous campaign.

I think it’s been pretty evident he will be here next season for a while. The whole idea of an end of season review is completely stupid, and admittedly therefore plausible with our idiot owners, but if he was going he’d be gone by now. There’s not a single valid argument for him to still be in the job. None. I expect that Waggott, a man who since day one has, barring the occasional early platitude positioned himself firmly against the clubs supporters, will double down. Expect increased ticket prices, aggressive guilt tripping dressed up as a marketing campaign, even more insulting interviews, lies and plenty more dumbing down and running down of our club. Oh, and the continuous reminders of how knowledgeable, humble and passionate Venky’s are, and how we should be grateful to them. The excuses for the record low ST sales will already have been thought up. They will be hoping for apathy. Ideally enough to have another go at a property development.

Just noticed this tweet from Bennett. Laughable how anyone currently connected with Rovers can complain about a lack of consequences to losing!

Judging by that interview any pressure is now off since the fortuitous result against Derby. Shrugs the shoulders and says the poor little players are jaded. Not half as jaded as the fans who have to witness this ongoing debacle. -

Downing. Another being rewarded with an appearance bonus. -

Topping up the vast pots of money they’ve already had out of us with appearance bonuses. Let’s face it, neither of them is getting a contract near what they are on currently. Tony helping his trusted lieutenants out with a few thousand quid. -
Fútbol, Le Foot, Voetbal, ποδόσφαιρο
Miller11 replied to Tim Southampton Rover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I know they aren’t. What I should have said was “do not endorse the league” Its interesting you mention Man Utd’s 60 million fanbase. Do you consider the opinions on this proposal of all of those 60 million to be equal? Personally, I think the viewpoint of the little old fella in his 80’s who was born and bred in Stretford and has been going on Old Trafford since the 50s is a lot more important than the guy in the Philippines who since discovering football 8 years ago has a picture of Bruno Fernandez as his Twitter avatar and watches them on telly. It’s pretty obvious which of those hypothetical individuals would support this idea and which would oppose it. -

A breakaway could be the best thing that has ever happened to the English game. Take a year or two for things to level out, but it would present a brilliant opportunity for top to bottom reform. So what if the next sky deal might not be so big, just means all clubs will have to stop making bang average players millionaires by the time they hit 20. We got the Premier League and all the inequality that goes with it thanks to similar thinking. This sort of idea from the laughably called “big 6” is the next step on from that. The Premier League hasn’t brought the international success it promised, and I dare say there’s no improvement for the vast majority of fans across the 92 league clubs. People who refer to and view football as “a product” and watch it on TV from all corners of the globe are the ones being considered here. Kick them out of FIFA, effectively make it a different sport for them. No doubt our game will endure. -

Afraid not today. These teatime kickoffs don’t make it easy timing wise, and our xL (expected listener... sorry, couldn’t resist!) would be low. Will do a show on Tuesday though. The extra hour makes all the difference. -
Although it’s unlikely, Mowbray could relegate us to the third tier twice. That would make him the worst manager in our history I reckon.
-
Don’t be silly folks, it doesn’t matter how many season tickets we actually sell. Waggott will be reporting back to Pune that our xST is 22,000
-
I wouldn’t be surprised if this table got sent over to India and it was implied it was the actual table. I’m only half joking.

If a hypothetical situation existed where we could only get rid of either Waggott or Mowbray, I’d choose Waggott all day long. I’m dreading this summer. -
Just had a look at some of the comments on that article... ”Rovers are a well run club” I fucking despair.
