  1. Makes no difference for us. Their GD is far superior. If anything another Boro goal basically confirms Mowbray makes it in.
  2. Cracking game for the neutral and even more so now both teams need win with 30 mins left We’ll be on Sky 30 times at this rate next year
  3. Sunderland 2-0 up. Absolute textbook that we do the job for Tone
  4. JRC for me I think in midfield alongside Wharton. Hyam goes hiding too much for me, especially when balls are coming in. Doesn’t feel like a motivator / leader / communicator
  5. Can’t argue with that much. We may see JRC in midfield here now. Could be the feature for next season
  6. Our back 4 must be the slowest in the league. For a team who allegedly like full backs going forward, in Pickering and JRC they’re almost pedestrian regarding pace.
  7. Difference is they took that ‘gamble’ for free…..we paid £8m or something for the privilege!
  8. Desperately need an upgrade on Pickering, Travis, Hedges, Diaz and Thomas in that 11 if we’re to have any chance next year. Add in that Kaminski should clearly be in over Pears that’s over half the team, quite a big overhaul.
  9. His call was basically when Pickering was already in the air, and it was outside the box so not sure what he’d planned to do. Regardless, we need an upgrade on Pickering too, and also on Travis who gave it away initially. Those 3 are miles and miles and miles away from Top 6 championship quality
  10. Let’s hear from those that said “Pears keeps his spot until he makes a mistake” please then after that let’s hear from those “Sell Kaminski and keep Pears as number 1 next year”
  11. Can’t reiterate enough how much JDT may have cost us not playing him for those months because he was on the mega drive late at night.
  12. So now we’re not going up and Wharton is definitely not here next year 😂
  13. Swansea and Rovers dicking around at the back and West Brom and Millwall lead.
  14. It’s textbook Rovers over the last 10 years. Never look interested and 2nd to everything in a game that matters
  15. Said it week after week after week. Horrendous team whenever anyone gets the ball in from throws/corners/crosses. It’s cost us all season long. Rubbish Rovers, absolutely rubbish.
  16. Yep - as expected already flapping at anything launched into the box. A certain weakness of Hyam (and obviously Pears)
  17. Really concerns me this. Multiple recent goals conceded from either set pieces or crosses.
  18. The Box or Pinnacle will have it on if you’re in the city centre. Both have loads of screens in ‘sports bar’ style If you’re up near Brudenell way then Original Oak in headingley (or most Headingley pubs) would have it on id imagine. There is a Box in Headingley too but the city centre one is better.
  19. Prediction: Swansea beat West Brom Sunderland go behind to PNE and we take the lead....hopes are built up, as the in-play table has us 6th..... Sunderland then go on to win with some late goals, and take 6th place (thankful for their 95th minute equaliser last weekend) It hurts that just avoiding either the PNE (95th min own goal) or Coventry (93rd minute keeper scoring) would have meant today would be in our own hands. If we'd avoided both, then the top 6 would already be confirmed! EDIT: that last bit is wrong actually as Millwall and Coventry would still be able to finish above us.
  20. Hahaha Chaddy only positive about the fact that people who paid for tickets were then not allowed to enter the event 😂 I couldn’t believe it when I read that tweet. Absolute shambles of an operation down there. The comments earlier too about recent attendances not being good…..if we were regularly getting 16k home fans that would be very good given how long we’ve been in this league now, and we’d get a few 20k+ attendances with the stadium feeling pretty full and atmosphere bouncing. To do that regularly though we need 14k-15k or so season ticket holders! We’ll probably limp to 9k as they’re the MOST EXPENSIVE IN LANCASHIRE! (And about to get £50 more expensive despite the season not even being over yet)
  21. Can’t remember where I saw it but yeah you’re right it looks dubious. Probably one of those ‘estimates’ someone picked up on Pretty sure they still rank towards the bottom of the league overall (and point still stands around owners/directors/board with braincells!)
  22. Unfortunately likely. Though we seem to be getting a better hold of both those things from albeit a horrible low under Kean. I read last night that Brightons wage bill is £28m (19th out of the 20 in the league), it was like 1/10th of Uniteds. Incredible effort, and shows what you can build when people running the show actually have a brain.
