Hello relegation. Bring in £40m+ over 12 months and spend what £5m with the above plus the £1.5m spent on Wahlsted and O'Riordan over that same period? It certainly sounds like the Venkys and Waggott Rovers we know I guess. -

Assuming Wharton is out for the season, Szmodics is sold and only allowing 3 signings as the original post states: New Brittain Carter New Pickering Travis Tronstad JRC Dolan New Hedges Clearly, we need more than 3 new signings though, and if we had any ounce of ambition (clearly not going to be the case): New New Carter New Pickering Tronstad JRC New New Hedges New Bench: Pears, Brittain, O'Riordan, Travis, Dolan, Gilsenan, Leonard Sell: Wahlsted, Hyam, Buckley, Gallagher, Markanday, Telalovic, unfortunately Szmodics Loan: Garrett -
Sam Szmodics-Your thoughts?

The Labore in Arte et Labore goes a long way with us Rovers fans, and as many have posted this is why I'll remember him fondly. Needless to say, we saw a ridiculous amount of 'Arte' too, especially this season, which is why he'll be moving up the leagues this summer. I think it really started to kick into gear for him in the Sheffield United Cup QF away. Scored a lovely goal in front of us and never really looked back after that. -

Squad difference for the opener next season vs the final game of last season (Millwall away) where we finished outside the playoffs on GD (essentially 1 full season time period): OUT: Wharton, Kaminski, Phillips, Ennis, Diaz, Dack, Ayala, Edun and likely Szmodics IN: Wahlstedt, O'Riordan, Sigurdsson, Tronstad, Telalovic (McFadzean and Fleck would need new contracts for next season). That is some horrendous business whichever way you spin it. We have spent under £2m and we have recouped almost £30m (when we add in the Raya money too), and likely £40m+ when we sell Szmodics this summer. Likely £40m+ income from transfer sales from Summer 2023 to Summer 2024. It's now or never for investment into this club, both in the form of players and affordability for match day fans. It's also now or never for our fans with their head in the sand re: Venkys to wake up, once we reinvest about a fiver of this total. -
I also think this is potentially the silent alarm to why we absolutely tanked from Christmas onwards. Waggott rubbed his hands together despite selling to the first bidder for below market price as it’ll look good to Venkys who haven’t got a scooby. But that decision almost cost us our championship place as it’s no coincidence we looked absolutely dire since he left, creating feck all.

Tell me about it!!!! Same on all socials. Seeing lots of Carrick / Wilshere comparisons. Fair play to the Palace recruitment team, they’ve done some spot-on business recently. Happy for Adam almost as much as livid at Waggot and the clowns. Hope Southgate is at least watching to see who the real pivot next to Rice should be this summer.

Boy this is depressing. Fair play to Adam, absolutely dominating and will be getting his first England cap soon I’d imagine

In order of priority, and assuming Szmodics is sold and Wharton misses the whole season GK, ST, CB, CAM, Winger, Full Back -
Words can’t describe what Sammie did for us this season, and today he was his usual superb self, both goals superb, the second had a touch of the Vardys about it, celebrating before it was in. Pickering, Tronstadt and McFadz I also thought were excellent today. Brittain and Gallagher weak links on our right hand side but not worth going into that when we’re on such a high. Delighted that ‘big club’ have dropped VENKYS OUT
