JDT has the international break now to train with Wharton and Travis as the middle two going forward. Get them up to speed together. Unfortunately Morton hasn’t got it at this level, regardless of the lying on the floor incident. £10m to Dortmund you’re having a laugh Summed up with his quote in the Times yesterday (yes the small Rovers article was just about the Liverpool loanee). It was something like “It’s not the Champions League but it’s something I need to do” - piss off mate.

I’m absolutely gutted, lots to read through here. It was a cracking day out, we put in a performance that wins more times than it loses, but that’s football - I thought Travis was superb, he’s up against 3 in the middle and not getting much pressing/aggression from his partner next to him. Best player on the pitch, maybe after Ndiaye for them. - Subs were questionable in my opinion, mainly the formation change, it just invited pressure. Then again when we’re down 3-2 why have we chucked Garrett on over Wharton (in terms of creative players). The latter just has to be first choice alongside Travis going forward. Having said that, JDT has worked wonders at the club, we should be proud of the performance, big deflections and long range winners, when your luck is in, it’s in. Looking forward to smashing them in the playoffs and embracing their administration and rebirth as Hallam Blades FC next year. Unbelievable you can play players you’ve missed payments for. The referee performance isn’t even worth wasting time on. We see these dollopers every week, shocking.

Great set of results for us. Now let’s enjoy tomorrow! -
It’s bizarre as well, as he was dropped and has only returned on the back of Buckleys injury. Think we can put that one to bed now

Would pretty much have to limit walk ons to Darwen End only and I think you’d get 5k for a playoff decider and ticket offer at the start of the summer. Would be great though I agree. Even if they sold 3k in there in the centre and put the edges under the advertising they currently use. It was full for Oxford, trying to remember what that stand was like for Bournemouth but I can’t fully remember.

It feels like it’s basically a case of he decides to stay if we go up, he 99% leaves if we don’t and a small 1% chance that JDT and Greg work their magic and we have him in this league again next year.

Happy St Patrick’s day to the Irish lot on here (bring back BIGDOG!) - I managed to get through a mental Dublin and on my way back for this one at the weekend. If you’re not excited for this with 6k of us in the away end then it’s not for you! This is what following Rovers is all about. All I ask for is a better performance than the Millwall shambles (I think that’s pretty much a given) Also - this weekend is your last chance for the 1000/1 FA Cup and Promotion double! I’m sure some of you have some Diaz winnings left over for a nice summer bonus.

100% - and how sweet will that fortnight be if we knew we already had 1 trip to Wembley in the bank! -

Season before was 3 goals and 4 assists and he wasn't as much of a regular (fewer minutes than Morton this year with an additional 9 games to go still). Bit of a moot point comparing the two as we say because of their role/position, but it's fairer to be critical of Mortons attacking involvement than Rothwells over whichever year you want to choose. -

Rothwell had 10 assists last season when playing that more attacking role and became a regular starter, only 5 or 6 players had more in the league. You're right, they're not comparable as they play different roles within the team, but I'd agree with the original poster that there isn't enough output from Morton, and what others have said about his defensive frailties. If we see more of the type of pass to Gallagher going forward we'd be better for it. There was a moment last night when even the very biased Rovers commentators had a little "move forward into the space" outburst (maybe not outburst but a bit of a passionate tone) about him as he had acres of space in front of him but was instead looking for the easy pass -

That 5 point gap to Norwich feels even better knowing their next 3 are Stoke (A), Sheff Utd (H) then Rovers (A). No gimmes in there and they go to Boro away at Easter too -

😁 Very true! I’m living over there now so I’d maybe even make the trip to the Aviva if Sammie got a call up! -
