  1. I’d take anyone now. I’d take Dolan running around like a headless chicken, I’d give Leonard a few games without ever seeing him play, I’d maybe even give the old Blackburn end drummer a go.
  2. It is a shame Gally is so useless as he’s one of the only players who has a catchy and original song we can sing to.
  3. Who would have thought it eh! Time to change it up and have a think about the rest of the season JDT
  4. Unfortunately I think you’re right. I’d have Wharton on for Morton and Thomas or Dolan for Hedges (although Brereton has been worse, he is at least capable of something out the blue)
  5. Brereton has given the ball away every single time he’s touched it. He looks absolutely hopeless. Thomas, Wharton, Brittain - just anyone who can create something please.
  6. 2 great results in the early games, if we can win this and Swansea beat Coventry I’d say it’s done and dusted! Enjoy the match @BigBar - you’ve picked a cracking day for your lads first one
  7. A ‘bumper’ Rovers crowd usually equals a sub-par performance. Let’s hope on the pitch it’s not like Wigan and Bournemouth over the last few years. I like the comment someone made about it being a playoff quarter final. Win and I think we’re in, but I wouldn’t be disappointed with a draw.
  8. 100% - only the bottom 7 and Preston have scored less. We’re so so bad at creating anything (not directed at today but the season), it’s worse when it comes to Shots, Shots on Target and the dreaded xG, so it suggests our 43 goals in 38 games is actually an overachievement (so no blaming Gallagher and co. if we’re actually converting better than expected) JDT has earnt all our patience, respect etc etc. but I am frustrated that we’ve come out of an international break after a pathetic let down from our (on loan) CM and he has still stuck by him, whilst our most creative midfielder by a distance (who we actual own and should be developing) isn’t even making the squad. Really disappointed by that and hoping it hits home eventually
  9. Just the reality of the championship too, highlighted by all the other teams failing to win too (bar Luton). We were underdogs for this match today but if you asked all our fans the majority would say otherwise. Just the way it is playing away from home in the Championship. Disappointing given the opportunity that it turned out to be, yes, but Yeovil 7 or so years ago it was not.
  10. Good luck with that liquidity mate. Wouldn’t be anywhere near 1.8 and someone is obviously trying to tease someone in with £100. Lay to lose at Sky Bet far higher than the £80 winnings available there at under odds
  11. A very good day for Luton Town it seems
  12. Insert into any match thread. Most creative midfielder doesn’t even make the squad
  13. Yep - easy sell out there, great pricing from Hudds for Easter Weekend. Should be a cracking day for those who go!
  14. Agree there is a different feel to this lot than 5-10 years ago, just a lot more likeable. I can get behind Bellingham, Kane, Saka, Foden, Rashford so much more than the likes of Terry, Rio, Lampard, Rooney. They were just so hard to like. Disagree about the Portugal post earlier, I think we’re superior to them in ever position except perhaps CB.
  15. Ha, my bad, but the point still stands. There was no ‘onslaught’. Italy were useless and we never felt any sort of pressure at all. England were poor 2nd half, but Italy did nothing to take advantage of it (I could have claimed my extra man comment was in reference of the referee 😁 )
  16. “Onslaught” They had 1 shot on target all game, and had a goal less on xG too despite the extra man for 30 minutes. Awful from Italy (and the ref)
  17. Do they need one?
  18. Funny you mention that…. I’ve just seen on socials that the vile man who organised that (apparently a close friend of a certain Tommy Robinson) is in Naples for tonight’s match with a “Diego’s In A Box” St George’s Cross flag. Given the reputation of fans in Naples, he might not be around to participate in our 2k allocation anyway.
  19. Least televised Burnley, Norwich, Watford, Southampton in 2022 all shown more than most televised Manchester United in 1993. Broadcasting / TV / Technology has evolved dramatically so I guess that isn't a surprise but still feels like quite the image. Still, guaranteed a minimum ~£100m isn't to be sniffed at for Rovers (and we've probably been on tele more than 12 times this season anyway!
  20. Yeah TV income is something like £100m. Difference between £250 a season ticket and £450 a season ticket is worth max £3-4m (likely far less as you'd sell less at the higher price), and off-set by increased away ticket sales.
  21. Even in the relegation year under Kean and Venkys we averaged 22.5k. We'd be a popular away trip as it'll be a while since some clubs have visited (Fernhurst rubbing their hands together), it won't be the case of 400 Reading fans etc. Every club would easily bring 3k+ up there, except the south coast clubs maybe. BBE Lower and JW would be pretty much full which is 15k or so, then add in the bits of Riverside, worst case it'd be 20k for a regular game and 25k for the 'big clubs', average out around 22k-23k for the season (far fewer Tue/Wed night games helps this too). EDIT: Ah, agree if it was meant as home fans attendance. By the way, has something been released about the stand at all? Or has the thread randomly got back to life as it does each year? I actually thought the stand to the left of the away fans at Bramall Lane looked like a good option for the Riverside, albeit a little bigger than we'd want. Similar to WBA/PNE above it had a box level at the top.
  22. Dragged myself to the Ireland friendly tonight against Latvia. I’d be amazed if Sammie doesn’t make the squad next time around (although Ireland squads often have more shocking call ups than England). Some real dire midfield players still knocking around, certainly lacking creativity - why on earth would you still use Hendricks and McClean in a friendly. Smallbone was the best player on the pitch, but there is definitely space for Szmodics in there too.
  23. In the lower tier apparently too - thought we'd chuck them in the upper tier given the allocation
  24. By kick off all rivals will only have 2 games left (we'll still have Burnley GIH too). Not unconceivable that we go into this knowing 3 points would guarantee us a playoff spot! Would only need to be 4 points clear (current gap) at kick off.
