  1. McDonald’s is shite, but sometimes, especially when nursing a sore head Tom too many pints, it’s exactly what you crave the most.
  2. Absolutely elated with that today. Whatever we are doing, it’s working and it’s working very well. Everything seems to be falling into place and I’d fancy us against anyone in the league right now. I wouldn’t like to say how we will fare come the end of the season, but, we’re doing well at the moment, so I’m just enjoying the here and now! It’s rare that I’m able to be so sure about Rovers, but we’re smashing it at the minute and long may that continue!
  3. Jonjo Shelvey is a cracking footballer, when he fancies it, but the only person stopping him doing this consistently, is Jonjo Shelvey.
  4. What I really don’t like is the judgmental nature that people have taken on over this whole subject. Whatever we may think of the government, they’re calling the shots and if people are legally allowed to still do things, then they will do them, myself very much included. As someone that has suffered massively with mental health issues over the years, lockdown was one of the most difficult times of my life, as I thrive so much on social contact and seeing my nearest and dearest regularly. It’s alright for people with partners and children, but if you’re single with none of that, the isolation can be incredibly difficult to handle. What’s on the agenda tonight then K-Hod? ‘Well, probs some Netflix and snacks on my own again’. Rinse and repeat for far too much of the last two years. It’s absolutely grim and as long as I’m still allowed to legally see people and engage in the past times I love, then I’m going to engage in them. If people want to take a cautious approach, no worries, I totally respect that and understand where you’re coming from. However, this situation cannot continue forever and I’m very much looking forward to the conclusion of it in truth, as for large parts, well, it’s just been horrible to be honest.
  5. One hell of a strike from Trent Alexander-Arnold. Worth anyone’s time watching the highlights for that one alone!!
  6. Christ, that’d be a bit pricey in a proper burger joint, never mind on the footy!
  7. Hi Everyone, now that we’ve filled our boots with Covid chat, can we get it back to football now please? Thanks in advance.
  8. I never said it wasn’t up to him and I agree it’s his choice. This however, is about not assuming that everyone wants to be locked up forever, if they favour a more cautious approach. For what it’s worth, I’m going to be attending matches and events like normal as long as I’m allowed to!
  9. The bit in bold- I’ve mentioned this to you several times before. Please can you stop assuming that because people have a different view to yourself that this is what they want? As life definitely isn’t that simple.
  10. Not sure what defines ‘being careful’ or ‘staying safe’, but whatever precautions you take, short of isolating in your own gaff, you could still catch it quite easily….
  11. Reading and Luton aren’t in London….
  12. I might be wrong on this, but I’m sure the league were saying that games are called off if teams have less than 14 available players. I can understand that an outbreak at Watford would be quite damaging, but Man United must have had a hell of a lot of cases to be calling it off!
  13. That’s reasonable to ask, but it’s not reasonable to accuse anyone that attends matches of being selfish. Anyway, back to football please!
  14. I’m not afraid of any of this, just confused by why phrases don’t mean what they should do….
  15. Makes the re definition of the phrase even stranger when the new definition doesn’t even make sense!
  16. For the curious- posts hidden as they contained suggestion that large groups of people were selfish, when they are only following government guidelines. Whatever we think of the government, those are the rules we all have to follow. Anyhow, back to the footy!
  17. A low block doesn’t even make sense. Unless you mean blocking a shot with your bollocks…..
  18. Absolutely no doubt about that either, to be fair! However, having seen them both play, I still think Aguero was a better player. I’m really conflicted saying that too, as Alan Shearer was my hero growing up and certainly the best player I’ve seen with us in my lifetime.
  19. Aguero was the most talented striker ever in the PL, for me. I know that’s a big call, but I just felt like he had it all, when he was on form, he was unplayable. You’ll get no argument on Shearer from me, the man is an absolute demi-God in my eyes for what he achieved here. Can understand the sentimental transfer from his point of view, but, if he’d gone elsewhere after here, he’d have won much more.
  20. Aguero has the best goals to game ratio in the history of the PL. Most goals of any foreign player ever too. If he’d played in England since he was 18 and better luck with injuries, he’d be the all time leading goal scorer without a doubt for me.
  21. But you still aren’t blaming the fans though, yeah?
  22. At least we aren’t the only team that can have 7 put past us, which is comforting.
  23. Are you just going to deliberately overlook the reason people aren’t going to the games? Spoiler alert- it’s because of Venky’s mismanagement of the club. Also- corporate boxes being empty for years- you’ve guessed it, that’s also down to Venky’s mismanagement of the club….
  24. You say this like people were unreasonable to criticise an under performing player when he was under performing. Then he starts performing and delivering like (and even much better than) we always hoped he would. That isn’t hypocrisy, that just stands to reason. You can’t possibly be annoyed at fans for being annoyed at the potential sale of our top scorer, can you?
  25. I’m just finishing the new Dexter, then on to Succession. It’s absolutely brilliant though!
