He's getting plenty of credit and always will, especially because of last season, it's just people were very concerned about us continually shipping late goals and making the same mistakes. If football fans can't discuss what the manager does well and does badly without being criticised for not giving the manager enough credit, then all football message boards might as well be closed down....

Evans has been miles better than Smallwood this season overall and Travis is better than them both based on what I've seen of him. Reed and Travis would be the ideal central midfield pairing, but TM does love a square peg in a round hole and we do need more wingers.....

In fairness though mate, Evans and Smallwood have started pretty much every game together in central midfield this season..... Given how well Travis has done on the occasions I've seen him play, I'd be really disappointed if Mowbray simply reverts back to picking Smallwood again as soon as he's available. For me, it wouldn't send out the right message. It should be 'Do well and you keep the shirt' and I hope it is!

Travis exceptional today. If anyone thinks Smallwood is better than him, I’d recommend a visit to your local opticians ASAP. Armstrong very good as well. Bennett poor today, but out of position to be fair. Felt Reed should have played at right back really. Just relieved with the win in all honesty!!

Why is it so hard for some people to grasp that fans are behind the manager but not happy with 1 win in 9 and conceding loads of late goals? It’s really not that complicated.

He's still in credit for what he's done overall so far and I certainly don't want him sacked at the moment, but if this terrible run and continued leaking of late goals carries on, he will be on thin ice......

I’ve just seen the incident with Smallwood and it looked like Smallwood did more damage to Bennett than anyone else.... Either way, he gave the ref a decision to make with the challenge and it was little surprise that it handed Sheffield United the initiative after....

I’ve got the same fears with this lad. Every single time I’ve seen him play he’s looked better than Smallwood, who continues to play instead of him. It would be absolutely sickening if we ended up losing him because we won’t give him enough game time.

I think it’s a bit soon to be talking of getting rid of Brereton yet, but I had certainly hoped he would have shown more than he has so far in sub appearances. (I can’t comment on yesterday’s showing as I wasn’t there). If he’d played every minute of every game and not done a lot, then I’d be worried, so for me, it’s not panic stations just yet....
