Excellent performance today. There really isn’t a lot I can fault with it apart from the two goals we conceded, which undoubtedly flattered them. Conway or Downing (who but for one horror pass in his own box had an otherwise unblemished display today) for the man of the match for me. Graham was absolutely sensational in front of goal today and set up the only goal he didn’t score. A very pleasing victory all in all.

Absolute peach of a strike from Joao once of this parish, to be fair!
-
Brilliantly worked second goal, Downing’s work for it was quite something! Good job Mowbray didn’t listen to some on here and drop Dack. ?
-
For all my doubt about starting Conway, he was quality in the build up to the goal and before that, to be fair. Graham silencing the doubters doing what he does best. Incredible that some still doubt his value to the team. Their seats mustn’t face the pitch....

Bennett and Conway would provide brilliant defensive cover, but very little attacking threat or pace!

Where (& why) has the Team Spirit gone
K-Hod replied to Gone to seed's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Actions speak louder than words. It's as simple as that for me. A good team performance and a win against Sheffield Wednesday and it goes some way to exorcising the ghosts of the last two horror shows. -
Mowbray has plenty of credit in the bank and I'm not for one minute calling for his head, I don't think anyone else is either, if they were, then surely it wouldn't be difficult to find any suggesting so. So it seems to be mischievous and an attempt at point scoring to suggest something which isn't even the case to suit a viewpoint to me. I've seen loads saying 'if this carries on, then his position will be under review', but that's just to be expected in football. If you do badly in any job and don't show any signs of improvement, then surely questions would be asked? I've hardly seen any evidence of a 'meltdown' either. People being annoyed about getting slapped twice with two shocking performances to boot, fancy fans of a football club they love being angry eh? Whatever next.....

Mr Oizo- Flat Beat -
He was a cracking footballer, but if he's a rubbish manager, he'll continue to make himself look like an entitled whopper if he comes out with this nonsense with regularity.

If Dack were to be dropped, I suppose Palmer would be the obvious replacement, but I don’t think Dack has done anything warranting dropping just yet...
-
Palmer has scored for us though, to be fair. He is wasteful in possession at times, but I do think he gets way too much of a hard time on here.

We're in real danger of history being re-written is more like it. A few on here have been doing it recently as well, to be fair.
-
We were supposed to get a reaction last night, so I won't hold my breath on getting one on Saturday. We didn't sign any NATURAL wingers, we don't have any centre halves good enough to challenge Mulgrew and Lenihan, so the recruitment most definitely is imbalanced. Smallwood and Evans pairing needs breaking up. Reed is absolutely quality, but he's being played out of position to accommodate the aforementioned axis in central midfield. Joe Rothwell must be tearing his hair out about not being selected. If I had enough on my head, I would be as well! Rodwell is a central midfielder, so even if he said he's not going to play him an centre half, he's still playing him at a position he's unfamiliar with recently.
-
So, you don't think we should send Palmer back to Chelsea now?
-
The first bit is all anyone is saying, to be fair. Nobody's arguing that he's got credit in the bank due to last season or saying he hasn't done well in the main. Re the last line, people are always going to be angry after we lose two games in a row, never mind to local rivals to boot.....
-
Have a look through the thread, I haven't seen a single post saying so...... The only posts have been suggesting that things need to improve, or that if things continue this way then Mowbray's position will be under review. Only like at any other football club on the planet to be fair.
-
It's not only him that does that in fairness, but hopefully now people can see why we wanted rid of it.....
-
So were Wigan, then they smashed us. *Gulp.*
-
Fundamentally, what he’s said is right. However, I can probably help him with where it came from! Your mental decision making Tony! When you get angry with them, look in the mirror and have a word with yourself lad.
-
Please don’t give him any ideas, he’s horrendous.
-
We’re just over half way to the magic 50 points. Unfortunately, I can’t see where the next point is coming from, the way we are going at the minute. Shambolic.
-
After Saturday, we needed a reaction. We haven’t had one and Mowbray needs to tell us why. He also needs to tell us why he keeps making terrible decisions relating to team selection. He needs to tell us why he’s so scared of attacking other teams. Particularly when we are a number of goals behind. What’s the worst that could happen? Man the feck up Tony!
-
Well done lads, nice reaction to Saturday’s humiliation. Pathetic.
