  1. That’s absolutely embarrassing. It’s worrying when things like that happen, it’s happened at a few clubs in recent years. Sure something similar happened at Newcastle.
  2. MGMT- Time To Pretend

  4. Get a bottle of Heineken, they can't mess those up!
  5. Wouldn’t say I was disappointed, as he’s been one of our better players this season in fairness. But the bigger question is doing it consistently and not just before NI are playing....
  6. Now then lads & lasses, long time poster, infrequent asker of help! Me and a few mates (including a couple from this parish) are going up to Newcastle for the FA Cup game in early January, but seem to be in a bit of a quandary re transport. Trains look to be circa £83 with more changes than Kanye West's mind, the official travel will be out as drinking isn't allowed on there and drinking will be as much a part of the day as the football, so it seems unfair to leave it out of proceedings for a number of hours! Bottom line, does anyone know of any pubs that do travel to away games, preferably from the Hyndburn area? (Most of us will be going from Accy/Baxenden). I previously got coaches via the Brown Cow near Ewood, but I can't see anything on BRAG's website or their Facebook page about any away travel recently..... Failing any good ideas, we could always get a minibus with a local taxi firm that rhymes with Derek Shaw's fabled communication method on transfer deadline day, but they aren't exactly well known for their reliability levels..... Any help would be appreciated, ta!
  7. Liverpool were very good last night, just wasteful in front of goal. Napoli were overawed by the occasion and froze imo. Alisson’s save really was something though! The difference in their defence since him and Van Dijk signed has been like night and day.
  8. A number of new restaurants in the centre especially, more bars than a few years ago, but it's still nowhere near what it used to be.
  9. Getting splinters in his backside on the regs at 'Boro. Strange really, as you'd think he'd be the stuff of Pulis' wet dreams.....
  10. He's incredibly limited at football at best and I'm surprised anyone that's watched us regularly over the last few years would try and downplay that tbh.
  11. 100%. Irritates the life out of me seeing Rovers fans from Hyndburn going to watch Stanley this season......
  12. Wolf Alice- Don’t delete the kisses
  13. Future Islands- Tin Man
  14. We did have a confused emoji at one point, but I think that suffered the same fate... Ideally, people would just use things as they were intended, but it seems that can't always happen!
  15. Is it moaning and cynicism though? Or is it just an opinion? I’m having a great time in the main this season and last season was one of my favourites in my life so far (I’m 34). Just observing what happened and giving my view, as most others are. Mowbray is great, but he isn’t perfect. So when folk mention him not being perfect, that’s just saying what they see, like at any other club, it’s not moaning. Just as people praising Mowbray isn’t happy clapping. As it goes, I’d say 5/10 is quite harsh for the recruitment rating, but only two of Mowbray’s signings start regularly (Reed and Dack), so it won’t be THAT much higher, to be fair....
  16. But we do and we actually wanted rid of the thing due to its misuse. Seems we can’t win? ?‍♂️
  17. I’d say so, yeah. The way I see the Brereton signing is that I wouldn’t expect him to start as he isn’t better than Graham currently, who is the best striker at the club. It’s not really an over reaction to query why our most expensive signing in years isn’t playing when Graham is out though. Particularly when we’re playing our best player in Dack out of position in order to do so.... If we simply say ‘trust Mowbray’ or whatever, then there would be no need for a message board. His decisions are discussed by fans of the club he manages on the internet, just like every other football club in the world. We aren’t unique.
  18. Medium sized club with a decent fan base considering our catchment area. I’m sure that was what you meant ?.
  19. They’ve both been hideously bad I think it’s fair to say. Think we’d both agree they should never have gotten rid of McCarthy. Better the devil you know and all that....
  20. He’s started terribly there and they’re definitely going down, that much is obvious. Their squad is absolutely appalling though. I don’t think I could name one of their players! Mowbray had a better squad to work with here when he first started.
  21. All the ones you can see us replacing (which I agree we would need to long term in order to progress) have all recently signed new deals, bar Williams, haven’t they?
  22. Not sure who else they could have appointed in reality, they’ve got a terrible squad. Shows that McCarthy worked wonders with what he had there!
  23. Roots Manuva- Swords In The Dirt
  24. At the start of the game, we’d have taken a draw, I suppose. However, from the position we were in, it’s incredibly frustrating that we missed chances then ended up conceding. Incredibly frustrating that we can’t take our chances and finish a team off with a man less for most of the game. Disappointing in that regard, but I suppose we didn’t lose....
