  1. Ha, my birthday!
  2. Pendulum-Witchcraft (Netsky remix)
  3. It's the one on the corner, Al, the one next to what was next to Tiggi's just on King William Street. A great cinema though, that was.
  4. Diana Ross- Upside down
  5. I must say, I've never really encountered cyclists on the road really, certainly not in the circumstances some have mentioned. (Not to say that behaviour doesn't exist by the way). Motorcyclists smashing it along the road and weaving in and out of traffic is far more hazardous in my view (then, that's another discussion entirely).
  6. I think he died from embarrassment, or food poisoning.......
  7. We must be skint.
  8. Blondie- Heart of glass
  9. It's excellent, there. It's just a bit of a trek for me! Sounds like your meal last night would be a good hangover cure for today!!
  10. Otis Redding- Sitting on the dock of the bay
  11. Ah, right. A few people I know have been banging on about it, so I'll try it, if only for one!
  12. A few from work are going to the 'Brighton Beach' night at The Grand on the Friday. I can't make the weekend, sadly, two 'birthday do's' on the Saturday night. Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show ticket bought at The Grand in November though! Will finally get to try the fabled Holmes Mill (Bowland Brewery) out that night!
  13. The Smiths- How soon is now?
  14. The Cure- Boys don't cry
  15. The demographics are only a small piece of the puzzle. They weren't that different about 10 years ago when plenty of bars were open and people travelled from out of town to go there (I.e. Me and many others).
  16. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/14737113.__65k_refurb_to_bring_300_capacity_Cellar_Bar_back_to_the_heart_of_town_nightlife/ I've got very many good memories of The Cellar Bar from years back. I suppose it's a start, but there's plenty of work to be done to get the nightlife anywhere near where it was. There's a Turtle Bay (Caribbean restaurant) opening in the Cathedral Quarter next year also.....
  17. To be honest OOJW, it's great to see the views of more seasoned boxing fans from myself to pick up tidbits of knowledge for me. I've been watching a lot more boxing over the last couple of years and will always make an effort to watch fights now. Trying to shake off the 'casual boxing fan' label ;-)
  18. Bob Dylan- Hurricane
  19. Beastie Boys- Sure shot
  20. The Doors- Light my fire
  21. That's the thing, I'm not talking expats. Where that's concerned, you're right, I'd expect them to support their country of origin and have no problems with them doing so, either. My point was about British born and raised citizens of Pakistani origin supporting Pakistan against England. In a lot of cases, these people have never even been to Pakistan.....
  22. I thought it was Pakistan where he was born for some reason! To be honest, I would expect people born in this country that like cricket to support England. I guess the support matter is a family or a cultural thing, but I've never been able to relate to it myself. I really don't think anything SKH said was racist, or had a hint of it in reality. Quite a poor thing to say really, Jim.
  23. I've never understood that tbh. I remember Nasser Hussain once going on about British-Born Pakistanis not 'supporting the country their parents were from at cricket', but then, he was born in Pakistan himself, so that seemed a bit rich..... I've noticed people of Italian origin do that with footy as well.
  24. The Libertines-Time for heroes
  25. Both times I've been, it's been great. Saw some great acts and had the best times.
