Well yeah, considering we’ve had 17 league games so far, I’d say that’s not many minutes out of a possible 1530. Just because JDT has seemingly given up on him, doesn’t mean it’s automatically the right thing to do. It’s sad that someone as pro the club as you is so quick to write off one of our best players from the last few seasons. Particularly when so keen to hype up Vale and Hirst, who could only dream of contributing to the club what Dack has, based on their showings so far.

Who says he is? He’s barely had any game time. Why are you so keen to get over a player that has been absolutely vital to us since he’s been here?

It’s not ideal, but a few groans or frustrated comments about getting him off are part and parcel of being in a crowd. My bet would be that BBD never heard any of them….

I’m convinced there’s no club like ours where fans are determined to blame others, even at the expense of reality. The overwhelming majority of fans in the ground went over the top with their support of BBD as they could see he needed encouragement. A few grumbles at mistakes don’t equate to ‘putting pressure on him at home’.

Season ticket sales have improved, but they still could and should be better. It’s not that difficult.

For the sake of the club, I hope Vale does prove everyone wrong, but he’s not shown a right lot in what I’ve seen of him so far, certainly not enough to warrant a new (and presumably improved) deal.

That Patrick Roberts looked absolutely class for Sunderland, as a few other posters have mentioned. Even though they were all over us towards the end though, I don’t feel like they had that many clear cut chances in reality.

What I find the most bizarre about Dack not being picked to start is that JDT played in the same position as him as a player!

Ordinarily, I’d have hidden the post calling for SS to get injured, but, I wasn’t really on here much yesterday and plenty of posters replied to it and called it out for what it was, so that saved me a job really!
