I think 25 points would reflect a good first half of the season, a platform for take off in the new Year. it would be brill if we had anything more than 25 and oh how would that get the half season tickets flowing. Clear of any relegation worries going into January still in the carling cup still in the fa cup and with chelsea, manure, city, liverpool, bolton, wigan, arsenal all still to come to Ewood -

cant be too disheartened about Rovers display especially listening to McClintock, who is forever red spcectacled when it comes to Arse. 3-0 sounds harsh, but if you dont put your chances away thats what happens against the top clubs. back to reality now with a cup game then two more than winnable home games. looks like the cup match at Charlton will be interesting as Rovers are not playing that badly whereas Charlton have now lost 4 on the spin, includign a pasting at Ewood. -

Rovers should be level if not in front -
I am going back out to Germany in February were I will stay for 3 days. Then I have a short stay in Holland - all work I must add. In March there is a possibloe visit to South America ( again work related) and I would not mind a piece of that. Still, the plan is for a 3 month stay in Germany/Holland. the snag is the 4-5 weeks pre World Cup, working away like a beaver and then having to suffer the agony ofthe WC at the tax payers expense !!!!

Yep I agree Den but then again I would also add Rooney to Duff. he may be twice the size that GB was but when he runs with the ball he is virtually unstoppable. the goals that Rooney scores are fantastic whereas Duffer struggles with the goals now he no longer plies his trade at Ewood

can anyone remember the score when we played him at the cottage ?? Night game I think ?

really Having lived in Ibrox for a while and being a veteran of 23 old firm games I fail to see where this argument ever gets. For the fans of the two clubs its okay, for everyine else its boring tittle tattle. Who really gives a monkey who is the biggest club, who has the most fans, who has most titles in a mickey mouse league or who has the biggest ground ? I have enjoyed drinks with celtic fans and rangers alike, they are no different than the rest of us with one simple exception - R E L I G I O N. Take that out and its akin to bumley v Rovers, Leeds v Sheff U or manure v city or even stoke v port vale. fergie has gone back to his little world where he thought it was better. Today he must realise that life in Jockland is not all that much better. This year they win faf all

How ironic that in a week when the licensing laws are repealed that GB departs this world I have no problem with the minutes silence for such a messiah of football. It should be reserved for the true greats of our game. Finally take note Gazza and Rooney

take the positive, although Arsenal looked good with TH up front, they also looked pretty clueless in midfield and at the back, especially with a bit of pace. Rovers have a weeks rest whilst arsenal play Thun away. no doubt they will rest a few but there is no reason why Rovers cannot go and get a point -

yep man city the original big city football club only rivalled by those other blue noses from brum, that englands 2nd and 3rd city football teams (4th for man city tho). city have a marvellous away following, but then again in a city so large its no wonder they have. pound for pound Rovers are a bigger club, after all when was the last time they ever won a major trophy ? -
how do you know he didnt ask before he got the sack ?? BTW is it official yet that he and windy have been ousted ?

Hows this for summary justice ? Local druggie steals some money off a so claled friend from down near the drop out area of Preston. He then goes and seeks solace in the form of heroin but does not tell his two friends who are with him that he has already scored. All three take a walk for the day via moor nook and so on and end up on the Lane, Preston. druggie then says to mates, over here lets all share this bag. All three go off out of sight, druggie 1 (the one with the bag) cooks it up on druggie 2's spoon and his own citric acid. But in greed, just as they are all about to dig in with their own needles, druggie one decides f$$k it, its all mine, and draws all the spoon and injects it straight into his arm. other 2 druggies are aghast, upset and jealous, watch as the heroin takes over and promptly sends druggie 1 into oblivion, his eyes roll, his lips go blue and he collapses and sinks into a coma. Druggie 2 and 3 both render assitance but not before druggie 2 recovers his own spoon and citric acid. however, its too late, death comes quickly and druggie 1 is soon off to the mortuary. So there you are, a real true story. sad but all too familiar in this day and age. -

still hoping to go to COMS I just dont see Rovers losing this game IF they can reproduce the recent power plays through the flanks. I think the duel between Mills and MGP will be interesting, this is for me where the game can be won. 1-0 Rovers -
Now then what a long long weekend so far and oh how much pride do we English Sports fans feel today ? Football - what a fantastic advert for the game, for the England Team and for the English football supporters. All we have heard is postiveness following this win. Even the media could not provide any adverse or negative press after this match. Granted Argentina showed what a fantastic team they have, they play great one touch football with Riquelme at the hub. England also showed what we are capable of, they showed fight and togertherness, and with Rooney pulling the strings almost every team that has qualified will want to avoid us. Rugby Union - absolutley tremendous. The myth of an unbeatable Aussie outfit has long gone. I watched the game and all we saw was fight, sportsmanship and pride. Yes the Aussies played their part but they were blown away by a far superior pack. Rugby League - the pride is back in a Lions shirt. I only caught snippets of the game later on but what they did was simply not expected. Lets hope they continue next week and get tot he final. Cricket - what can we say ? Aussie green and golds, beware, your crown as test cricket champions is hanging on its last threads. This England team has everything. Mssrs Flintoff and Harmison are unplayable, even on a dead pitch. Now we see the batting being held composed by the stand in captain. Surely tomorrow will see us pass 400 and firmly put us on the road to a 1-0 lead in the series. I am now off to the club for a few pints of the golden stuff. It feels great today being English and long may it continue. I have never smiled as wide for ages until Micheal owen despatched the third goal. It simply erases the cheating madogonna handball all those years ago. One final thing about the argies. Some of their fans placed a banner proclaiming The General Belgrano - some of you may not be aware of what this was, it was the biggest ever Argentinian warship that was sunk by the British during the Falklands conflict. How good it was that some sensible steard saw fit to tear it down. I mean, I dont ever recall ever seeing any English banner referring to the war
