old on a mo Mrs J the apologies in the media will be delayed, its called deadlines, headlines and dross (newspaper talk for journo scumbbags - yes jim you included ! ) I am pretty certain that Rovers will have spoken to TP as soon as they realised the leak was open. I agree the scenario is totally out of order, unprofessional and a disgraceful way to treat an emplyee in any walk of life. We all have our own appreciations of TP and can show it all when his testimonial details are known.

From Rangers news it appears that the latest headlines indicating that Fergie is a target for Gers comes from 2 previous interviews with 'ol heck when he stated he would be interested in Fergie if he ever became available. I foresee Fergie being the mainstay with a new look team from January 05.

I see lady luck wasnt at St JAmes Park again on Sunday and that the mancs cheated by getting themselves another deabetable penalty ! Maybe souness will realise that it might be his team selection that sucks. imagine, he spent all that last 18 months looking for a left sided midfielder/attacker, he inherits one in robert and what dows he do ? plays him on the bench ! How dumb can one get -

for those who didnt witness Rovers away at City, we are becoming a hard team to play against. City didnt get it all their own way via their one and only flair player SRW, they packed le sulk out of the game and other than that they managed to control the midfield area. Now Brum without Izzet is a different prospect. Rovers have to wage war on girlyboy savage and Hughes will know exactly his weaknesses and i am sure that Fergie will no doubt confront him early doors. Depending on whether any other brum players get injured with the midweek friendlies then I would expect Rovers to go with the team that finished the match at City. Possible only difference may be the introduction of Youri for Jansen. Brum will no doubt have donkey bruno up front along with the playboy DW. All Andy Todd needs to do is kick him early doors and he will then no longer be interested on the pitch ! Tight game but Rovers to win. sub 20k??? your'e having a laugh. 22000+ -

Now then boys and girls, a different perspective from todays game at the COMS, a view from a Man City point of view. Today I travelled to the game with a host of City fans along with Den and a couple of other Rovers supporters. Lets me say that Not one of them was expecting a massive City win along the lines that we have seen on websites such as bbc etc. The were as apprehensive as me and the other Rovers supporters but I can honestly say that it US who appeared to be the more confident ! Having had a few drinks in Euxton and then onto a pre match pub opposite the stadium (Nelly B's) we set off to the ground, Den was with the allocated Rovers fans whilst I was sat above them in amongst the City faithful. Listening to the mongs behind me I had to correct one or two of them that sheepshaggers actually eminate from Yorkshire and that BRFC was actually a team from the sunny climes of Lancashire. But lo and behold I was well received being an outsider to that part of the ground. The first half was in the main a non event HOWEVER Rovers were clearly the better organised team and cut off the supply to SRW hence little goal action in the Rovers goal area. City were poorer as they're approach play was awful, their defence was pulled all over and they frittened to death of mssrs Dickov and Stead. I have never seen Dunne or Distain so frightened of a player of the ilk of Dickov, who was making a real nuisance of himself. approaching half time and Rovers press the self destruct button, one mistake, SRW down the flank and a sweepong effort by the ineffective sibierski puts City one up, let me just say that the pass by Mcmanaman to set up the chance was either the best pass I have ever seen in my time following football or it was a complete fluke, watch tonight and make your own mind up. So half time City lead 1-0. the fans behind and around me are not happy with their lot, they score against the run of play IMO, the atmosphere is worse than a morgue and Big Old City are playing second fiddle to the bottom of the league. So beings the second half, Rovers change Stead and replace him with Jansen, he appeared to be injured just before the end of the first half. Again the game takes off as it finished, Rovers clearly having the better percentage of play, they silence even more the groans of the COMS crowd and begin to take the game by the scruff of the neck. Dickov is a nuisance and Jansen adds a different dimension winning balls in the air. Tugay then begins to play with his invisible friend and gives us one or two frights but still City cannot find their way into our area. Then a MIRACLE happens. I was above the Rovers fans when a delightful through ball to Dickov sees him upended by that thug MILLS. P E N A L T Y I say again P E N A L T Y is awarded to the visitors and I am pretty sure that I witnessed Rovers fainting in disbelief at the outcome, but , WAIT, a players, the thug Mills is actually despatched from the field of play and is red carded ! Oh Happy days I cry, but wait, the P E N A L T Y has still to be taken. I notice that every Rovers player bar one is outside of the area, whether or not shirking or not wanting the responsibility of a phenomonen. Step forward Mr Dickov, a previous hero of the Maine Road faithful. A short run up and a majestic strike into the bottom left hand corner of the net, Keeper NOWHERE near it. oh what glee however I had to restrain myself, not only at the equaliser, not only at the P E NA L T Y but due to the fact that we had well and truly earned the right to be on level terms and that I clearly felt that I had to correct the muppet directly behind me that out @#/? was just as good as their @#/?. I calmy shook hands with him and swapped pleasantries, his own friends disgusted but not having any bottle to say anything, as due to my stature they clearly didnt find the possbile altercation factor on their side. I had to muffle the cries of delight as Rovers descended in numbers on the City goal and only a flying save by Calamity stopped Rovers claiming the second goal for which their enterprise deserved. a warning towards the end made me realise that Rovers still had work to do but then the final whistle, a chorus of boos from the City faithful and raised cheers from the Blackburn fans who were very happy at the result. I turned to my fellow football supporter to offer my congratulations however he had clearly decided enough was enough and had disappeared, either that or he was scared Shi$less ! I finished my day meeting back up with Den at the pre match pub, we were both in agreement that Rovers were unlucky not to have claimed the win. Overall the game was not a spectacular, but in our predicament its a very positive outcome, I mean how good will the club feel tonight knowing we are off the bottom of the league ? I would say that Mark Hughes has every right to feel satisfied with the players tonight. the sight of Thommo unleashing shots from outside the area is a sight to behold. The defence clearly has had a major overhaul as both Todd and Johannson were very comfortable. friedel - 7 one good save nothing else to do neill - 7 good game Johannson - 8 coped with Anelka very well todd - 8 ditto mceveley 7 one mistake in giving srw too much space allowed him to create the goal for city tugay - 6 still gives too many balls away emerton - 7 good solid game reid - 7 won a lot of ball, good game fergie - 7 solid and controlled the second half DICKOV **9** star man. How can one so small cause so much mayhem ? Stead 7 did okay and had chances but clearly got injured. jansen 7 caused problems Thommo 7 again caused a differing type of problem and its just great to see him back. I have had a great day but feel a little sad that we didnt claim all 3 points. It feels good to be a Rover tonight. -
is there a wicked plan in the life of BRFC ? do the board want us in the Premiership any longer ? Are the club seriously out of their depth ? Are we heading back to the dark old days of pre Jack Walker or even worse Bill Fox ? Are the powers that be preparing BRFC for life in the lower league and becoming the nearly club that everyone remembers from the 1980's ? is there life on mars ? Will my mate ever get the first round in ? Will ABBEY ever give up alcohol ? I am sure the answer is out there, somewhere.

Tony Parkes. well for me, he was everything GOOD about Blackburn Rovers, loyal, straight and honest and a real genuine gentleman. I feel gutted today, if we are to believe the ultimately shoddy disgusting way he has left then it says to me that there is something untoward happening within the club. John Williams has always been at the forefront of media "rituals" at Ewood, how can he have allowed the club to treat a loyal servant like this ? Surely the blame lies soley at his feet. I cant blame Mark Hughes for wanting to restructure, it makes sense but as with the last paragraph it saddens me greatly that noone had the nerve, the bottle, the guts or the common decency to inform TP of his predicament and sacking. I hope Tony that you take some comfort in the fact that us Rovers supporters are fully appreciative of the way you have performed in each and every role that you have undertook at Ewood. Your'e a true legend for the Blue and Whites. You deserved a much better ending and you surely leave BRFC with the sounds of nothing but praise from the hardcore supporters. A man of true integrity, leave with your head held high and a real sense of achievement because without you BRFC may not be in the position it finds itself in today. For without you the club may well have sunk without trace over the past years. thanks Tony and best of luck in whatever you move onto in life. Just one thing never ever take up the advice of one of our members, DO NOT join the enemy !

I think there is a sure fire way of beating city on Saturday. The way they play means that Rovers have to crowd the midfield, IMO that means playing 4-5-1 friedel Neill Todd or Short Johannson McEveley Emerton Ferguson Flitcroft Reid Gallacher Stead subs Jansen Enckleman Dickov Todd or Short Gresko or Thompson This allows for a lot of different permutations should the need arise. Its quite clearly going to be the SRW show as City have to hope he is on good form. If Rovers can annul the threat of SRW and I mean putting Reid on him (speed wise he is probably only the Rovers player that can match him) then they are 3/4 of the way. In the midfield battle zone, Fergie and Flitcroft can do the graft leaving Tugay to hopefully play the release ball to Gally and Stead Having Gresko or Thommo on the bench gives us a lot more width or a different positional midfield. The other thing is that Rovers have to score first for a change. Leaving city to chase the game could give Rovers the added allowance of the midfield being wide open. mark hughes ? are you reading this ? -

Cant see anything other than a 1-0 win and it could go either way I would just love it if we could turn the result on its head and win the match and it would be nice if the following three conditions could apply we get a penalty we finish with 11 players still on our side we win come on you mighty blue boys -

cant wait for a man at the match report (or lady) got to be grateful for a point as I was distraught at having another sh££ Saturday evening. Obviously the team showed a lot of spirit and resilience when they went down to 10 and that can only bode well for the next 4 or 5 games. -

seems a totally illogical decision by Bothroyd and supports the claims that he has a very suspect attitude and fiery temper. how can he react like that having nearly scored 2 goals in as many minutes and then do something as stupid as he has ? It really makes me mad the only consolations at the moment are the fact that we havent conceded as of yet, the dingles are losing and nobenders are getting hammered at home -

FLB I fully respect your views and comments. In respect of Cole, yes I slated the lazy so and so but not always. I was very pro souness but not amiss to point out that some of his decisions/actions were wrong. No I am not certainly jumping on the "now hes gone lets berate him" wagon, I simply just am putting my perspective across. I generally see through Blue and White spectacles, I defend my club to the utter most, I wear my shirts with pride, I (or rather my wife) buys my ST religiously, I travel away regularly. But what I have witnessed,as many before me have too, is that systematically over the past 18 months our club has had its heart and soul ripped apart, the heartbeat is nothing more than a whimper at the moment and its taking a blopdy big transfusion to get it going again. I suppose the point that I am really trying to make is that I think souness should have walked before he got the newcastle job, there were many alternatives to just slinging out Dunn and Cole, and others, and it was just his ego that has caused us these current problems which are akin to last year. Now then listen to his comments about Bolton after yesterdays defeat.... where have we heard those words before ? -

I think I read somewhere that he is due to or has just become a Dad for the first time, maybe that is the reason why his form has been affected recently. -
