IMO, there is no one at Rovers with a feckin clue about valuations or how to manage these situations. Wharton out the door for an absurdly relatively low price. Feck me, Bristol City got £25million for Alex Scott who will never ever be the player Wharton is now or will become. It was clear from a very early stage (remember the game at Blackpool) that Wharton was a very special talent. Folk running Rovers are the same who fecked up badly on Lenihan, Rothwell and BBD who went for the square root of feck all. It all makes my blood boil. Think it's certain Sammie will leave irrespective of any posturing from Rovers or fanciful Nixon numbers. If he wants out then he will go - he's now at his peak footballing wise and earnings' potential wise and I think it would be madness for him to stay here. Wake up Chaddy and smell the coffee because I think recent history has shown the summer window will be as shambolic, or even more shambolic, than recent windows. Reading your 'wish list' for signings is like reading my grandchildren's letters to Father Christmas. Get real.

Think it's so galling when you look at the players we have recently lost for either nothing or for not their true worth. All gone for nowt BBD, Rothwell and Lenihan - close on £20million with 'clued-up' management. Palace really pulled our pants down over Wharton. Months and months ago, I posted we should get at least what Brum got from Dortmund for Bellingham (£25million plus add ons) and that was 4 years ago. Also, still far from convinced we managed Phillips' contractual situation optimally. As for Broughton's signings, think only Sammie has hit the mark. Disasters include Mola, Hirst (at least for us), Wahlstedt, Ennis, Telalovic and Fleck. Those who have made little or no impact Morton, Thomas, Moran, Ayari, Koumetio and O'Riordan (we have the 3rd worse defensive record in the league having conceded 74 goals and the lad can't even get a look in - wtf is that about?!) Average signings Hyam and Brittain (think both have shown their true colours this season and in my book not the characters you want to build your team around), Sigurdsson (flatters to deceive), Tronstad (a steady Eddie but better than Travis?) and McFadzean (the barrel was empty). Whether we have money to spend in the summer or not, I really worry about the capabilities of Broughton and our recruitment team - IMO, their record is pretty dismal.

Stay up or go down, for me, Eustace has to go. Simply don't think he's up to it. Young and upcoming - no, the guy's in his mid forties with a track record of 3 years at Kidderminster, caretaker spell at QPR and a brief spell at Brum until it seems the owners concluded he wasn't the man to deliver their ambitions. So, in my book, Eustace has achieved very little as a manager, is relatively inexperienced and has certainly not been 'in demand' and for that there would have to be reasons why. I think his league record with Rovers is very, very poor and we go into our last game still with a real risk of relegation and hoping and praying results go our way in other games. To average less than a point a game over the course of a season will get you relegated. What a state of affairs. Think his game management yesterday when a fatigued Coventry went down to 10 men for 40 minutes (including added time) was negative, unimaginative and potentially catastrophic with our failure to get a win. IMO, he's a 'yes man' (unlike JDT) who causes no ripples in the boardroom, is weak and therefore a player's dream, is negative and also tactically inept. I also find his interviews cringeworthy, IMO, full of cliches, platitudes and bullsh1t. Sadly, no matter what league we are in next season, I think Eustace will remain in charge. If we are fortunate enough to stay up then I think relegation will be nailed on with Eustace, if we go down, think we will be no better than mid table in League 1. Really, really, really? Think his record with Rovers is dire. This is a manager who has failed to win a single home game in the league including games against QPR, Plymouth, Millwall and the Owls. IMO, a weak, negative and cliche ridden bullshitter.

My thoughts: Brum - they'll kick Norwich off the park to get a result, Brum win Plymouth - who gave them a chance against Leicester? Hull might have nowt to play for and even if they do, fancy Argyle to get their win Owls - they've shown they have plenty of bottle and desire, can't see then failing to get a point at Sunderland who we hammered 5-1 not too long ago Rovers - Leicester will want to put on a show, think we will be lucky to lose by no more than 3 goals My huge fear is we hit the bottom three on goal difference for the first time on the last day of the season when it will be all too late to do anything about it. Eusless is unworthy of an army. If we lose today, he and the team should be absolutely pilloried by the fans.

Fixed it for you. Whether we stay up or go down, one really fears for our prospects. The prospect of real and meaningful investment is one for the fairies I think. IMO, it's very likely we will be in administration come 31 August.

There is no doubt that Coventry's defeat last night is going to help us. Their players must be mentally and physically exhausted. They will have the backing of 4k+ fans and Robins is a hard task master who will demand 100% effort. However, despite despite the shortcomings of both our manager and players there is no way do I see a Coventry win which will give us either the 1 or 3 points to put us safe. So confident am I in this, I have lumped on against the Coventry win at 5/2 on one of the betting exchanges. Roll on the balmy days of summer.

Sadly, Ewood Park has never been renowned as having a hostile atmosphere which is often worth a goal start. Highbury was once nicknamed The Library' because it was so quiet. In the main, Rovers fans are a docile lot at Ewood Park, too little passion and too many happy clappers.

Pears was not expected to control the ball, take it around any approaching SW player and then produce a defence splitting ball which would create an opportunity for Rovers. All he had to do was launch the feckin ball to an area of safety. It was simply a huge error made even worse by his lamentable efforts to rectify it before the ball entered the net. As for the first goal, being so far out of his goal, he should quite simply have played safe and found touch as clearly Hyam would be under pressure. The bottom line is Pears is a very poor all round goalie with so many flaws in his game it's untrue. Many of us have been saying this since Mowbray brought, metaphorically speaking, one of his 'favourite sons' to the club. Pears has cost us both countless goals and points and should be jettisoned from our club as soon as possible. Sadly, he may have caused our club irretrievable damage.

Damning Gallagher statistics. Underlines the absolute idiocy in not selling him to Ipswich in January for circa £1.5m as well as getting his relatively, for Rovers, astronomical wages off our books. No matter who we might have replaced Gallagher with they could hardly have been as ineffective.
