  1. I would be staggeringly surprised if the EFL made any other decision other than a full replay. The facts are Rovers were just 1 goal in front with 10 minutes of normal time plus added on time to go (say a minimum of 5 extra minutes) meaning there were at least 15 minutes of the game left. Against Brum, we were 1 up and Brum equalised in the last minute of normal time and then went on to win in added time. There is the Ipswich case - the game was far from dead and buried. We don't deserve any favours. Our pitch has been an issue for years and we have done virtually feck all to remedy the situation. Even though the ground is next to a river, as are many other sporting stadia, modern technology and solutions provide numerous options to overcome the issue. Sadly, IMO, crass management has shot us in the foot again. Time for both Rovers and some fans to stop bellyaching. McKenna was acting in the best interests of Ipswich as I am sure Ismael would have done if the positions had been reversed.
  2. Read carefully! I made it clear it's not embarrassing from me. You are embarrassing yourself by throwing your toys out the pram. It's professional sport where gamesmanship thrives. Boot on the other foot and you would have been lauding Ismael and saying referee was right as pitch too dangerous. Decisions go for and against you over the season - you just have to take the rough with the smooth and not bellyache.
  3. Think ding dong Bell netted that game. If memory's correct, it was early Jan with only a few thousand on the ground.
  4. Not embarrassing but just plain reality. If gamesmanship upsets you so much then stick to games and puzzles for pacifists.
  5. So McKena engaged in some gamesmanship. So what? Boot on the other foot and Ismael did the same then we would all be lauding him and having a laugh at our opponents' expense. It's painful but it's a feckin professional sport not a Girl Guides' Jamboree. Think all the blame lies with our owners and executive management who, IMO, continue to sell the club short with their crass management
  6. Incredibly unlucky. Think our pitch and drainage is totally shite and has been so for years. Our owners, Waggott and Pasha no doubt knew this but seem to have done near to feck all to address the problem. For perspective, every match in English Football League that started has been completed other than Rovers. Rochdale only game postponed. Even Chorley played and completed. My lawns aren't great with persistent heavy deluges but even they haven't got a puddle on! 3 points almost in the bag and there's almost an inevitability that we will get beat when the game is rescheduled. Those 3 lost points could be incredibly costly one way or another at the end of the season. Yet another example, IMO, of our owners and executive management's myopia and incompetence.
  7. Huge concern with Carter So he can't manage one game a week? Utterly farcical. Also makes the Hyam sale look ridiculous without a replacement.
  8. Whilst the Watford win provides a little bit more hope for the season, had a touch of the 'Hull feel' to it - think both Hull and Watford in for long hard seasons with more managerial changes to come. Sadly for Rovers, think Ipswich are about to really hit their straps after their impressive demolition of SU and can't see beyond an Ipswich win. Think my decent punt on Ipswich at 21/20 will provide some consolation come tonight.
  9. Wouldn't have sacked Wilder in first place and secondly wouldn't have appointed Selles. Mowbray would want a 5 year project to sort SU and I wouldn't touch him with the proverbial shitty stick - think he's a legend in his own mind only and now a washed-up managerial dinosaur. Wilder is an obvious choice - big difference is they've lost 3 key players in Ahmed, Souza and Moore and signed some dross since Wilder was sacked. Success for them this season would be to hit 60 points. .
  10. As is Coyle's promotion to the PL!!!
  11. Today's been good. First and foremost Rovers won! Should do wonders for spirit and confidence. Beat Ipswich next Saturday and we might just have reason to be much more hopeful for this season. Secondly, a nice tidy win worthy of an extra bottle of a nice red tonight!
  12. Just a gut feeling Rovers pull off a surprise win today. Chucked a few quid at it at 23/10.
  13. I hope not. One of the most over-hyped young players we've had. Think Chorley is his level. Jason feckin Lowe was worth 10 of Montgomery - that's how poor Montgomery is.
  14. Nail on head. I think the reality is we've spent sweet feck all! Throw in the the bits and pieces from add ons for previous sales etc and I reckon we are in the black by about £5million so the reality is we will be running £10million favourable to budget plus huge savings on wages, getting on for £5million including employers' NI. We are not investing. Sadly, there are far too many gullible and naive in our fan base and they swallow, IMO, the substantially over-hyped transfer fees and subsequent bullsh1t from Ewood and LT hook, line and sinker.
  15. IMO, a total unnecessary appointment and one merely made to try and deflect current levels of justifiable criticism aimed at Gestede. A former popular player with a friendly face will only cut it with the gullible and happy clappers! We have just 3 players (Barrett, Duru and O'Riordan) out on loan one of whom is in USA! Just why the feck do we need a loans manager!? Think it's an absolute nonsense and a waste of money when we seem to be cutting costs in every other direction.
  16. Good!!! Time for the brave to put their heads above the parapet.
  17. A disastrous window. We really are in trouble. Will Ismael put up with this? Will Pasha make Gestede the scapegoat when we are rooted in the bottom three? 'Exciting' times ahead.
  18. Seems like @AAK is the one who thrives off bullsh1t!
  19. A mythical transfer budget of £5m!!! Think we will find we are better than budget by about £10m!!! ie budgeted net spend £5m, actual net spend -£5m. Looking forward to the refreshing and honest views of Ismael!!!
  20. You are still trolling then. How very sad.
  21. So? My information is a fair bit closer to home than @AAKtenuous link. Based on what has happened / is happening now would suggest my information was good.
  22. I post in good faith. It's certainly not bullsh1t. My posts on Saturday evening and this morning couldn't be any clearer.
  23. The potential Hyam exit has been brewing for the last 48/72 hours. Understand he wants to go.
  24. Outs - one 'surprise' departure (Hyam) and Pears contract terminated by mutual consent. Ins - one permanent and two loans.
  25. Like they did on Forshaw, Kargbo, Gueye, De Neve, Tavares, Henriksson who are all looking distinctly 'iffy' and that's being diplomatic! Chaddy - we are not spending money. Over hyped fees for the gullible, fanciful add-ons for if we win the PL - IMO, it's all bullsh1t. IMO, there'll be more money coming into the coffers than is leaving and there'll be huge savings on wages to boot! Pretty sure he'll be with us on Tuesday. Can you see anyone taking him? If I could get a bet on Hyam leaving before the window closes then I'd be on it! A depressing night. Think Gestede's transfer strategy, if you can call it that, is about to spectacularly unravel and backfire.
