  1. Unfortunately, I think the shallowness and lack of quality in our squad is going to be increasingly evident as we enter a hectic few weeks. Sadly, we have too many players who easily pick up injuries and are out for weeks at a time. IMO, our medical/fitness department needs radically reviewing because based on results (keeping players fit and injury free and quick recovery times when injured), it does not seem fit for purpose. Cardiff will see this as a great opportunity to get back on track (as all teams / strikers seem to against Rovers when looking to turn the corner with a win / goal). Cardiff to win by at least 2 clear goals with the Stoke win proving a false dawn - very difficult times to come.
  2. Staggered, but not surprised, how easy you switch seamlessly from one horse to the next. Firstly, you praised JDT to the hilt for his football principles and style of play and how all new signings should be made cognizant to that style; you then went on to say should JDTleave, he should be replaced by a manager / coach with exactly the same principles etc. JDT and Eustace are chalk and cheese yet you are lapping it all up. Your stuff about "a team who will fight and commit for the shirt and the fans" is also what Big Sam's Rovers did in the main and his football was pilloried by the likes of you. You must be Waggott's dream!!!
  3. Hmmm - in 2024, we've also had QPR, Huddersfield and Rotherham at home; 3 'similar' games to those referred to giving us just 2 points. Add in Stoke if you want but that's still only 5 points from 4, on paper, 'must win' / 'winnable' games. I wish I shared your confidence and optimism!
  4. A huge task for JE to get us to safety. Take Tuesday's match at Cardiff: Is 37 year old McFadzean going to play his 4th consecutive game in 11 days? Are long term returnees Hedges and Gallagher going to manage their 4th consecutive game in 11 days given, particularly, Gallagher's injury record? Will Fleck play again? Hardly kicked a ball all season and injured within 20 minutes - you couldn't make it up! Just take a look at how weak our bench was today. Our threadbare squad is at breaking point and devoid of both quantity and quality. Think we can write-off Tuesday's game and looking at our remaining fixtures, I struggle to see how we even get 9 more points to get us to even 46 points which most likely will not be enough. Pick up a couple more injuries to the likes of SS and even Gallagher then we are well and truly feckin goosed.
  5. Aye, the man was a clown: 2 European Cup Wins (now Champions' League) 2 First Division Titles (now Premier League) with different clubs A handful of League Cup Wins Numerous other trophies
  6. Not enamoured by some of the flowery guff Eustace is coming out with. Never recall the likes of Fergie, Big Sam etc delivering such utterances. Jury's out for me - let's see what the 'precious little ones' get up to tomorrow.
  7. Feck me, was Gallagher auditioning for a son in law role!? An absurd comment. Think Cloughie would have said he wanted his c/f to be a hard, aggressive b@stard who terrifies the opposition and scores feckin goals!
  8. It's laughable isn't it!? Even at my age, I would back myself to have buried that 94th minute header at Brum - unbelievable miss.
  9. You don't get it Chaddy do you? He is Director of Football which means the responsibility rests with him for ALL FOOTBALL OPERATIONS. If there is an issue with the recruitment team, it is his responsibility, if there is an issue with the fitness/medical department, it is his responsibility, if there is an issue with the administration of transfer transactions, it is his responsibility. After last year's shambles with O'Brien and Brierley, Broughton said it wouldn't happen again. Well it feckin well has and the buck stops with him. How the feck can you be a Director of Football Operations and not take responsibility for all things football!?!? I've had roles where folk didn't deliver and they were feckin fired because the buck stopped with me. If you think signings like Mola, Leo, Hirst, Ennis, Telalovic, Koumetio, Fleck, Chrisene and Ayari, to name but a few, are 'decent enough' then I don't know what football planet you live on. IMO, Broughton has made one stand out signing (SS), three or four average ones (Hyam, Tronstad, Siggy) and the rest have been virtually useless. Is it any wonder Broughton has gone into hiding after another shambolic window? If matters are 'out of his control' he should feckin 'man up' and walk and there would be more respect for him.
  10. Awful full stop. That man Broughton has much to be sorry for - I think his signings on the whole are minging, SS clearly good, Hyam average and the rest a crock of the proverbial. Indefensible. Factor in the feck ups with O'Brien, Brierley and Macguire and there is no case whatsoever, IMO, for his defence.
  11. A Mike Ferguson or an El Hadji Diouf would have destroyed Brittain for good - metaphorically eaten him, chewed him and then spat out the remains. Our, IMO, big mouth and coward of a full back must consider himself most fortunate not to have encountered a Fergie or a Dioufy!
  12. Would be no surprise to me if correct - said for years that Ewood is a nous free zone. The calibre of club employee from top to bottom has, IMO, been dumbed down alarmingly over the years and the results are plain to see. This is operational bollocks. If it was anything to do with me, it would be a basic requirement that all key employees lived permanently within a one hour commute of Ewood Park and if it was not acceptable to that individual then tough and you move on. Over the years, I've done my share of travel and living out of hotels, short term rentals etc whilst working on assignments etc and it's feckin hard work even in the short term but to do it for years (Mowbray, Waggott etc), in my experience, it's bound to impact adversely on job effectiveness.
  13. Jury is out for me. Only had one previous football league managerial appointment (Birmingham) where he was in charge for some 60 games - steady/solid rather than spectacular. For a 44 year old football manager his experience is limited. Hope he proves to be a good appointment but the niggle in mind is that this seems to be a Waggott appointment and my faith in that guy is zero.
  14. Not a chance. Preston have a tough match tonight and barring any injuries or suspensions they incur, I will be lumping big time on Preston at 6/4.
  15. Wishful thinking! IMO, Broughton's recruitment stinks bar the odd exception. Speaking of Broughton, where the feck is our DOF hiding. IMO, Broughton is that bad Rovers may as well make you DOF Chaddy.
  16. My goodness, we could have conceded 5 or 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. If you look at our league form across Dec/Jan/Feb, the last 13 matches have yielded just 8 points! Given we have 15 matches to go and probably need another 15 points to be safe, then I would say the alarm bells are well and truly ringing.
  18. Dire and hopeless. If that is a new manager bounce then we do have major feckin problems. I think relegation this season is now inevitable and PNE on Saturday will rip us apart to win by 3 or 4. When you have, IMO, imbeciles like Brittain in your team then you are doomed. IMO, too many feckin spineless cowards who don't give a sh1t.
  19. Good luck John, think you'll feckin need it. Solid job at Brum but jury out. Hope he doesn't turn out to be a John 'Eusless'.
  20. God help us. IMO, we have the 'three tossers' with Lowe, Benson and Johnson and they need feckin firing. So do I. I think Broughton is weak, inefficient and way out off his depth. IMO, just another with his snout stuck in the gravy trough
  21. Indeed! Rovers now focusing their scouting efforts on Blacksnape and Pleasington.
  22. Chaddy my friend, ultimate responsibility for ALL football matters resides with Broughton. He is DOF and therefore responsible for all football operations including transfers / transactions. If there are breakages in the chain of actions required to complete a transaction then it's his feckin responsibility to fix them. If he doesn't or can't then he should feck off. Simple as. Consecutive January windows where we seem to have fecked up.
  23. GB is DOF and responsible for all football matters. If we can't complete deals responsibility rests with him. It's his feckin job to ensure all the cogs in the wheel are well oiled. It's that simple. IMO, a bullsh1tter well and truly out of his depth.
  24. Watching and listening on holiday far away. Desperate shenanigans and very, very sad. Think we are well and truly fecked. Think last rites soon to be administered.
  25. Away from home with limited WiFi. Can someone please summarise the ins and outs without me having to trawl through 100+ pages.
