  1. My goodness, think you really do live in a fantasy world!
  2. A deal has to be done for Brittain with either Middlesbrough or Derby. Think his heart is no longer with Rovers now and doubtful it will be again. No doubt sales' proceeds will just finance the 3/4 deals so far with any residual trousered.
  3. Firstly, how many posters on this MB have referred to Carter's 'cramp' injury so what is unique about my post? Secondly, for the umpteenth time, I am not part of the Twatterati so stop linking me to any other poster(s) on there. It is unnecessarily annoying, boring and repetitive.
  4. Delusional and laughable. 21 year old Montgomery last season spent time at Marine and Chorley seemingly going nowhere other than the exit door. Played very limited time in our 1st team and suddenly you think he can step into the shoes of Travis or Tronstadt!?!? If the capability for our centre midfield is the energy to run box to box then maybe our scouting focus should shift to Blackburn Harriers!
  5. and we desperately needed another body in quickly with Carter's cramp!
  6. De Neve signed as a winger (where he played mostly for his last club) who can also play wing back. Anyhow, the key point is, if he hasn't been signed as Weimann's direct replacement, we have neither replaced Batth nor Weimann yet and bear in mind Batth was an outstanding performer for us last season and Weimann had excellent impact and delivered when we needed it with both goals and assists. Age is irrelevant - it's the quality and ability to perform - Cowans, Moran, Gale etc and presently for other clubs Messi (38), Ronaldo (40), Modric (39) etc
  7. Well we haven't replaced Batth as yet and I will be amazed if De Neve gets anywhere near what Weimann did last season in terms of impact, goals and assists.
  8. Think it's clear Hull are in even more desperate straits financially than Rovers! Additionally, Brittain's transfer value is far more substantial (£2 to 3m) than McLaughin (£0.5 to 1m). It's apples and pears!
  9. Jackson in LT saying McLaughin in Turkey at Hull training camp but would be allowed to leave IF fee agreed with Hull - how long does it take to agree a fee for a club in Hull's position with only 12 months remaining on the lad's contract!?!? Also, stated Carter missing from Wednesday's training video indicating injury could be worse than first feared. So our c/b's are Hyam and Wharton (who can't be anywhere near ready for 90 minutes in the Championship) with only rookies in reserve.
  10. McLaughlin sounds an okay signing - how low the bar, and our expectation, has fallen. At least he is 'Championship ready'. Can't help but think club is pulling its finger out on this one as there's bad news on Carter's 'cramp'!
  11. Seems Toth will be number 1 and I would think Pears will be p1ssed-off and toddle off to another club. That would mean we would need a number 2 with fair experience and capability. Don't think this lad fits the bill - mid 20's and only 30ish senior appearances in 6 years and nearly all whilst on loan in Sweden.
  12. Sadly, we seem to have made contact with a number of clubs regarding possible transfers only to make an offer way below valuation. This lad is playing for the current Swedish Champions and is also a full international - being sceptical and recognising what has happened this window with the likes of Sagnan, Nade etc, would think this is yet another rabbit hole. Think it's more like;y we sign Patrick Bauer or someone similar!
  13. Have posted my thoughts and you disagree. Not going to waste my time arguing the toss with you.
  14. The timing suggests to me that he's not the 'hot property' he and his agent thought he might be. Championship teams are at least 2 weeks into their pre season and you think Dolan would be a 'low hanging fruit' and easy to pick.
  15. IMO, in his post match interviews at Stanley, although refreshingly honest, his body language told me he was already p1ssed-off. I think you are right, he wont take the current shambles lying down - just a repetition of what happened with JDT and Eustace.
  16. See Derby have completed the signing of Patrick Agyemang for an initial fee believed to be almost £6million, however, he will miss the first games as he needs hernia surgery! Explodes the myth they have nowt to spend. Whether they have enough left in the coffers for Brittain and/or Travis remains to be seen. At least they are showing ambition and backing their feckin manager.
  17. Think Dolan needs to sack his agent as he seems to have been sold, and believed, a fairytale. Huge dose of reality setting in for the lad.
  18. Little doubt there will be. Yet another embarrassment.
  19. Is Carter unfit? Not seen any updates on his cramp?
  20. All I have tried to do is outline in basic terms what the connections are between club, parent company and ultimate holding company and how the club is financed. Intercompany loans can be a complex tax area where there are write-offs due to either insolvency or for other reasons. Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt. Ltd (as ultimate holding company) will have its own group accounts back in India. Whilst there is a Double Tax Treaty between UK and India, I am unable to comment on any implications UK operations will have on VHPL.
  21. A few posts have been made about how the parent company (Venkys London Limited) funds the football club (The Blackburn Rovers Football and Athletic Limited) and what is the nature of that funding. Venkys London Limited is a subsidiary of Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt. Ltd which is the ultimate holding company and controlled by Desai and the Rao brothers. To fund Rovers, Venkys London Limited issue shares with proceeds then loaned to the football club and shown in the football club's balance sheet under 'Creditors - amounts falling due within one year' (last accounts at 30 June 2024 showed an amount of £134 million up from £123.1 million the previous year). Notes to the accounts advise these are interest free loans and Venkys London Limited will not recall these loans within 12 months of the date the football club's financial statements are approved (signed off by CEO Waggott and the club's auditors on 12 December 2024).
  22. Could anyone really complain if Travis buggers off at the first opportunity? Isn't he supposed to have said to a fan at Accrington on Saturday he hadn't received a contract offer? At his age, his next contract is so important as his earning potential will never be higher.
  23. With that team we would be cut adrift by October with no prospect of recovery. Would be relegated with a record low number of points.
