  1. Past hour
  2. I think they are very naively assuming that we'll easily beat Sheffield Wednesday. Win that and the guff coming out of Ismael and the club will be unbearable. Fail to win that won and I think even they will have to act to save the tiniest bit of face.
  3. We really shouldn’t be surprised that Ismael is still here, on a long term contract. We’ve got owners who within weeks sacked Allardyce, drove out Williams and Finn and replaced them with their “friend” Jerome Anderson and Steve Kean. I can’t believe that would have happened at any other PL club or any other English league club. Possibly nowhere else in the world. Since then we’ve had 15 years of them appointing duds, coupled with them pretty much driving out any manager who showed promise. Then there’s the shambles of their management almost on a daily basis. Good staff leaving, numerous coaches walking away. Good players being sold at the drop of a hat, replaced with some pretty poor recruitments. They don’t communicate in any way with the fans. In short, they’re not fit to own or run a football club. They’re not capable of in any way, improving a football club. I reckon those fans who want to stick with Venky’s for their money should think about that. Is this what they really want for Rovers?
  4. Forshaw has pleasantly surprised me the past couple of games, but he can't be relied on for the rest of the season. Baradji is being rotated, I imagine due to his previous injury, so I'd expect that to continue. I'd keep Gardner Hickman if only for the fact he can play a full 90 minutes and hasn't seemingly been injured much this season. That's not me advocating his ability as a player, more that we have others who are worse than him and a few who can't string together 5 games without breaking down.
  5. If Hardie is fit I would take him in a heartbeat but we will end up with some 2nd division Belgian guy with 2 goals in 30 appearances who will need 6 months to adapt 🙄
  6. Bolton keen apparently but Wrexham won't let him go without replacement. Also injured. Not for us, got my heart set on the Motherwell lad,.more fool me
  7. They couldn't wait to throw the race card in either, as soon as it stared to go tits. As far as I am aware that was totally uncalled for, as was the case was the case with Anderson on the early days, despit thee being no evidence whatsoever of it.
  8. James Edmondson & Harrison Wood have both had their loans extended until the end of the season Fans of Macclesfield & Warrington Rylands seem pleased
  9. And we will be beaten to him by Bolton.
  10. but he will be a wonderful wild goose chase to keep those who are easily pleased calm and sedated
  11. 100% it will be. He won't be signing though.
  12. I actually don't think Alebiosu will be sold today.
  13. Rovers' Deadline Day Betting: 4/6 - Alebiosu to be sold with less than an hour of the window remaining EVENS - Ismael to leave the club within a week of the window closing 2/1 - Rovers to make a ridiculously low offer for a player that they've no intention of signing 5/1 - Rovers to somehow miss out on a player due to an admin error 16/1 - Rovers to sign a player that I've actually heard of
  14. I bet Ryan Hardie's name will be mentioned before the day is over.
  15. So would I, he isn't good enough- Foreshaw is significantly better. Surely there's a few quality CM's knocking about in league one or two that can control a midfield that are worth a gamble. Our centre mid is eye wateringly poor in my humble opinion. Still desperately need another striker too.
  16. I'd be half tempted to send Gardner-Hickman back, think he will be 5th choice in midfield now with Montgomery and Forshaw back.
  17. Garrett will be nowhere near. Hedges Pratt (left out or loaned out) One of Pickering / Ribiero will be gone
  18. Be interesting who misses out on the 25 man squad if we did get one more striker in. That would make for 29 players who could be registered. Toth, Pears Alebiosu, Miller, Carter, O'Riordan, McLoughlin, Wharton, Pratt, Cashin, Pickering, Riberio Morishita, Tronstad, Forshaw, Bardji, Tavares, Gardner-Hickman, Garrett, Kargbo, De Neve, Hedges, Afolayan Cantwell, Henriksson Gudjohnsen, Ohashi, Jorgensen, New Obviously Garrett would be one, then one of either Pickering/Riberio I imagine. Pratt loan maybe? Hedges to miss out because of injury? Sack Henrikson, De Neve & Tavares off because they will never be good enough?
  19. The Ismael appointment has to be down to Gestede surely it took an inside connection for them to risk a guy like that and foist 3.5 year contract to him. Old boys network without doubt.
  20. Under this regime we are going to become similar to Watford - just going through a never ending cycle of players and coaches through a revolving door. No coincidence that both Ismael and Bilic are two that have been through the doors at Watford in recent years and are now here/getting linked here. These foreign coaches are the way we will be operating, the only way that changes is if they remove Gestede which I think will only happen after relegation is confirmed and they need a sacrificial lamb to blame for the relegation. There's actually nothing wrong with the foreign coach route - see JDT, Jakirovic, Jokanovic, Farke, Wagner etc. but they also have to be working in a structure under people who know what they are doing, which is the part at which it will break down here.
  21. It’s just journalism/agent activity by numbers. Club has won one game since November and has collapsed into the relegation zone = manager sacked. That’s football (everywhere else).
  22. Very well summarised that. I can only think that someone within the corridors of Ewood, or one of our friendly agents form yesteryear, owed Ismael a favour, as it make zero sense, either appointing him in the fist place and even less sense, giving him, that length of contract. It has certainly backed people into a corner now, as no manager survives this horrendous run, both this season or last. Either the favour from the agents is still in play, or one of the stooges in situ at Ewood, cannot get the permission need to sack him and pay the remainder of the contract up. We have been here before with Berg, but yet again, no lesson is ever learned.
  23. No such thing as a home banker under this head coach, non. Lots of huff and puff as usual, score just before half time, happy days. More huff and puff, usual subs, concede .. 1 - 1 11,289
  24. I think someone should remind the high-ups at Ewood that the Transfer Windows are meant to strengthen the team not the reverse.
  25. Fair to beat Wednesday or lose at Norwich and Ismael will be gone. I said all along it would be after the transfer window closes. The heat is rising and Pasha / Rudy will need to make another sacrifice soon.
