Is it just me who's increasingly cynical of the game? You've got the PL shelling out more and more money with the big boys dominating every competition with their inexhaustible pockets. Meanwhile, most club Championship and below are in permacrisis and financially struggling. Do we really want to tough it out for the next 20 years for the privilege of being PL whipping boys for 12 months?

I think we are going to rue most of these signings.

Desperately short of a striker and have been for a long while now. Gueye looks like he has won a prize to pull the shirt on and although I love Yuki’s hard graft, he won’t score a lot of goals, too slow and not strong enough to be up front alone.

I couldn't fault the effort today from the players but we're just not very good and the only reason for that is the owners and their appointed clowns. 1 win in 5 matches and we haven't actually played any good teams yet. 1/4 wins in the league is relegation form. I'm not having people blaming unlucky penalties and referees, pathetic excuses. You make your own luck in football. If you have enough goes against the opposition you'll get a decision go for you sooner or later. There's not some grand conspiracy against us.

Surprisingly decent 2nd half, but that 2nd goal was always a possibility. Feel we've been unlucky in those first 2 home (league) games and didnt' really deserve to lose either. But, football is a game of momentum and form and you can't get into a losing habit. Regroup after the international break, see who we bring in before the close of the window and hopefully start to pick up some wins.

Hes getting slated but Kargbo was getting in the right areas, should have scored. You could see as he settles he could be quite effective. Tavares on the other hand absolutely dreadful. He is playing the Championship at the Portuguese leagues pace. Have to make a change there. On the whole was quite impressed with us second half. Still of the opinion we are looking at a lower mid table season. We've got two weeks to bed in the signings and get the post Travis midfield sorted. For what its worth Id go... Toth Alebiouso. Hyam. Wharton. Riberio Cantwell. Tronstad Karbo. Morishita? Hedges Ohashi

Maybe. But the referee and linesman don't have freeze frame and his momentum was clearly going into the box. At actual speed I thought penalty. The blame surely lies with the player for allowing the situation then pawing at the striker in panic. Just let him go.

He wouldn't have kept passing to the opposition as Tavares did.

Hate to slate our own players but Gueye is poor. Really poor. He’s just a big lump that is nowhere near championship level, unlike similar sized players like Ellis Simms & Kieffer Moore that at least chip in with some goals. I think we all knew that last season he was bad but he’d built a good rapport with the fans and our good league position most of the season possibly deflected the criticism. Ohashi does offer something, but as lead striker, I’m not so sure. Probably better sat just off main target man.

Don't see Travis turning that game around.

Poor game from Tavares & Kargbo. Tavares looked well out of depth in this league. Unbelievable miss from kargbo, how did he miss that one? Gueye kept getting caught offside, no impact, our forwards cant finish, we can't have an impact on games. We were lucky not to have gone down to 9 men, Cantwell's silly outburst after he's already on a yellow. It's gonna be a long hard season

We are where we are. It's been coming for probably 5 or 6 years. Maybe a prolonged spell in the pits of League 1 or 2 could be a good thing and rid us of these owners. We've had 10+ years of purgatory in the Championship threatening nothing. At this point another season in the Championship = more Venkys

Im not too sure that Gueye knows the offside rule. One of them was pure comedy. As a side note, thanks to everyone, who joined in the minutes applause on 70 minutes, for big Mick Jones. There were tears in our household as a result. RIP big fella, the crowd did you proud today.

Didn’t watch but caught snippets on radio. Team reeks of relegation unless something drastically changes over the international break. Looser mentality setting in with 4 defeats in 5 matches 😬 Really need at least two players before transfer deadline that know how to score and not mess up golden opportunities.

Remarkable we were better with 10 men than 11, we looked organised and more dangerous in the second half. Hedges had a good game, looked hungry throughout , Toth doesn't give me jitters every time he has the ball and Alebiosu looks so far to be the best of our signings this summer. The season before last we couldn't keep a clean sheet, last season we didn't score enough to turn draws into wins. I fear the backline looks weaker and we've not really added much in attack (yet). So there's some work to do over the final days/hours of the window. Poor defending for the second goal just backing off inviting Sargent to strike. Ohashi and Gueye offered very little, mainly because they're offside more often than not. Tavares needs a rocket up his ass, he looks lackadaisical and without the quality to back it up.

Is is bad that I'm celebrating that result because they stay below us? They'll soon overtake us like.

We’re not even playing bad tbh. Slowly we’re gelling. It’s obvious we need goals upfront and hopefully this new Icelandic Donny can provide us with a few.

Didn’t pick a good game to come up. Tavares Kargbo did not impress me at all. Sub standard. Thought Wharton looked good when he came on. Makhtar is truly awful. Clownish. Just a bad performance today

Travares is a steady eddy, not going to set the world alight...Everyone was poor today so not judging many on today's performance.
