  1. Past hour
  2. The fact remains that 3 points were there to be won. Why we didn't is due to a poor manager, making poor decisions, with poor players. Everything else is excuse making.
  3. Although it didn't affect the result but to highlight how poor the referee was he actually was incorrect in law in one incident (failing to apply law Is a cardinal sin in refereeing terms). Young went down with a head injury in the penalty area in the first half as we had the ball out wide towards the Riverside. He stopped the game. His incorrect law application was not making Young to off for 30 seconds. The change came in this season whereby if the referee stops the game for a head injury the player has to go off for 30 seconds irrespective of whether he has had treatment. On the theme of players going down I thought Ipswich were the worst I have seen for a long time. They certainly took advantage of a weak referee.
  4. Yeah poor decision. He gave the goalkick on probability/gut feeling rather than fact and let's face it this is what championship referees do and next game will be same. If our finishing had been better, including Wrexham game, we would've been out of sight by HT. Then ismael could afford to use/rest/manage players. So the only answer is score more goals. Simple in'it :(
  5. He's out for 5 weeks, probably only end up being back as Alebiosu comes back
  6. We would have won it easy, if your friend the ref, gave a red card, instead of yellow. Last man who fouls a striker who's clean through, is definitely a red card. Some supporters from other clubs, on social media, said the same last night, you were robbed.
  7. Absolute desperation from a poor and quite frankly arrogant manager. You can argue the toss all day about that potential red card but at the end of the day HE is responsible for that last minute equaliser, subbing on poor players and leaving solid, championship experienced defenders on the bench.
  8. A lot of it is cope, but it's understandable in the circumstances. I think we've only scored more than once in 4 of our 18 matches. Little wonder we're struggling as this isn't a team that has the quality to consistently keep clean sheets. I believe it's also 4 in 18. It's sad that many now consider what we're seeing as "playing well", but in context of the squad and manager I understand it. I'm just confused about why anyone would seem content or satisfied that this is our level now.
  9. A watcher as experienced as you can clearly see what is happening time and again with the same subs it isn't coicidence. There is a need to /mange/ players of course there is and many have to do it at this level with smaller squads but he's getting it wrong. Results and points matter most and sometime you have to see games out and bust some legs in order to do that. there is also a need here to get mins in players where possible and that is clearly going on as well. I think he's getting what he can out of most of these players which is good but he has some serious flaws that need ironing out otherwise relegation will be one 'hard luck' story.
  10. Time will tell, if it's a point gained last night. On paper, Ipswich were the toughest opposition of the 3 home games. If we can win the other 2, it will put us in a better position.
  11. Ipswich at least, showed exactly why the game needed to be replayed and why we could never have been awarded the points.
  12. It certainly is a big help.
  13. "We played well"; We were excellent"; "We were unlucky"; "We deserved 3 points" "Ref was shit" That's just losers' talk to me. All I care about is winning football matches. 1 win in 9, carry on like this, and we're only heading one way. People need to waken up.
  14. He's absolutely right about the standard of officials in the Championship. They are beyond poor and last night's referee is one of the worst. No doubt he'll get in bother for saying it, but it needed saying by a manager. The officials today seem so robotic in their approach to the game. I remember refs in the sixties who were real characters but who would laugh and joke with players during a game and have a real interaction with them. Yes, you got bad decisions at times but they seemed so much more in tune with the game than today's manufactured refs.
  15. I see Gardner-Hickman has played full back/wing back previously at other clubs. Can see him being shifted over and the return of Sid into the midfield. Enough to make you shudder,
  16. If he was 2 or 3 yards clear, what fouled him?
  17. It's undeniable that subbing on Gueye and De Neve had cost us before last night, then he fucking did it again. Take off Ohashi or Gudjohnson and bring on a defender or a midfielder, not the lightweight winger who has proved himself to be inept at managing a game and seeing out a win. It's fucking bemusing.
  18. Each to their own Parsons but your first paragraph has left me speechless. Your comment of a 'decent Season'..really? We are sleepwalking to oblivion.
  19. Don't be too sure , nobody really knows , who is actually on the payroll !
  20. I thought we were excellent last night and I must admit that I'm really warming to this manager. I have no problem with his substitutions. With all the injuries he has at the moment it makes sense to me to try to manage the players in terms of game time. The last thing we need are more players on the injured list. The last two games have shown just how good we can be and deserved the three points in both games. However, once again the standard of the officials was poor to say the least. If a corner had been given at the end, which I have no doubt it should have been, the game would have been over. Another red card that should have been given, and wasn't, and another potential penalty that a ref chose to ignore. I came away last night disappointed about the late equaliser but thoroughly heartened by the performance. That was the kind of performance that we see regularly away from home. If we continue to play like this we'll have a decent season.
  21. Were blaming the team, when the blame should go to Ismael, for shite tactics.
  22. 'Tis a RESULTS game...the Frenchman's record is not good.
  23. He's a prick, that once again spoilt the party at Ewood, he makes far to many substitutions, when we're in control of games.
  24. Has he lost the plot or is it a ploy to get fans on his side? The comments seem to suggest the fans are on his side...
  25. We have conceded 6 goals this season after 90mins two in the last couple of games no wonder Ipswich pushed for a replay they know how poor our game management is this is solely on the “coach” I couldn’t call him a manager he can’t manage stoppage time
  26. Playing for him ? or maybe because they are professionals and do their best under terrible circumstances he is a rubbish coach with poor tactics and zero ambition
