  1. Past hour
  2. The ref didn't lose us the game. But if you think there hasn't been anything whatsoever wrong with the vast majority of refs we have had this season, I'm flabbergasted.
  3. I'm not convinced that Toth just sits on his line for that one as it comes into the box.
  4. The owners were the ones taking us down.
  5. Theyve signed big money signings that need to work out, and in Isak and Wirtz, they are top players, hardly gambles who had scored loads in a lesser league or anything like that. The team you would think sooner rather than later needs to be built around them. It feels with the latter like they are trying to squeeze him in to a similar iteration of their previous template for a team. Theyve for a while been 433, had a hard working, selfless and energetic midfield and central striker with the 2 wide men providing the goal threat, which was pretty much all Salah once Mane left. As a result, he was excused from defending. Last season they pretty much played the same team every week, getting fortunate with injuries. To fully charge forward with a reset, I do wonder if Salah's role needs to reduce, hard while he is at the club, and/or they need a new manager to see it as a total change. They cant give Salah a responsibility free role on the right and give Wirtz time in his best position, I dont think. Leaves them too open.
  6. Today
  7. What’s going on with cantwell btw? He’s not played since stoke (think a bruised ankle) how you can miss 6 weeks with a bruised ankle? Seems quite strange
  8. He’ll likely be in the championship in January if they can recall him he’s tearing it up
  9. Slot won't be sack at this stage. But I do question why they need 2 big money striker signings or why they didn't replace Luiz Daiz. Or why they left Guehi's bid to the late minute
  10. There were warning signs last season with Salah, but he still scored 29 goals and had 18 assists (PL only, a few more in other comps) so you can understand the logic in giving him an extension. Players in their early 30s can decline pretty fast, though, so always a bit of a risk.
  11. It was straight at him he didn't even jump he crumpled down
  12. You make it sound like it was all his fault. JDT for all his pleasing attributes definitely WAS taking us down. Eustace managed to stop the rot and kept us up.
  13. Two keepers would have been struggling to get anywhere near that.
  14. Derby did nothing whatsoever wrong yesterday nor has there been anything whatsoever wrong with the vast majority of referees we've had this season. Im now convinced Exiled is on quite a clever wind up, moaning about the referee and our bad luck the minute we walk on the pitch every week and seeing who bites. He had me fooled for ages.
  15. Salah has lost his edge of pace - and IMO is the one player that needs to be dropped at the moment. It is amazing how much they miss Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Diaz. But at the moment teams have figured how to play against Liverpool - as they seem unable to play past a high press - and after passing it around the defence mostly end up playing long ball.. For all the money they spent - losing out on Guehi is really hurting them.
  16. Why is it lazy analysis? You can be as tricky, exciting, or fast as you want as a winger but at the end of the day unless you're either creating chances for others or scoring them yourself it's all for nowt. Incidentally I thought Grealish turned into an absolute parody of himself at Citeh. Everytime anyone gave him the ball he just gave it straight back. Anyone could do that and take zero risk. Pep got most of the flak for that for instructing him to play in a certain way but even he must have got sick of him eventually as he initially left him out then moved him out of the Club.
  17. I've mentioned it before but I think they're pretty fortunate to be as high as they are in the table. Without all those late goals earlier on in the season they'd be in a right predicament.
  18. The only way Rovers could succeed again—and be freed from the hostage situation—will be when everybody is aligned around the one cause: removing the owners and their disgraceful puppeteers. So in a way, you are correct. Alignment is the most important thing.
  19. I use it with sarcasm because it's a modern buzzword designed to hoodwink people into thinking all is well when it's clearly not i.e. "We're all aligned" (therefore by definition everything is clearly going to be ok despite all obvious signs to the contrary etc) Or we're "on a journey" (Mowbray) or we have to "trust in the process". There's another couple. Id have thought we'd have a lot better chance of success if rather than have a Head Coach completely on board with pursuing a disastrous policy, we had an ambitious Coach like JDT or Eustace completely at odds with Gestede and Pasha begging them to spend as much as possible on the team.
  20. That was as bad as I remember seeing Liverpool play for a long time. It said to me from just a couple of minutes in that they weren’t playing for Slot. He must be at risk.
  21. Seriously? How could anyone quote the term, as used by Gestede (to promote his dumbing down agenda and silence healthy criticism )and do so without sarcasm?
  22. Our fan base is f****ng deluded and tapped in the head unfortunately. They give stick to anyone and everyone and don’t do enough to even slightly hurt the ones above.
  23. Mate he watched the ball sail in from the left 🤣
  24. Erm, let's not forget the first season he was here, with a decent squad that nearly got relegated - how many games did it take for him to win at home? He did well until Xmas last season and then left for better pay, more resources and a shorter drive to work. A very good coach who was always passing through. There were plastic snakes in the 70s as I had one. Never felt the need to bring it to games and don't now.
