  1. Past hour
  2. A difficult one to call. Six new signings in the 11 (including 3 of the back 4) with a further 3 on the bench. That is a big turnover. Heart says Rovers will have 2 or 3 'moments' and will be enough to win the game Head says we lose an early goal and unravel. Whatever happens, hope Gestede and Pasha get some very strong verbals
  3. Just put the red button coverage on. To say the crowd looks sparse would be something of an understatement.
  4. Potentially for right back in Alebiosu can't last?
  5. Montgomery on the bench is an odd one, can’t see us in a situation where he is called for, best getting minutes with the reserves
  6. Edgy choice of photo by the social media team..
  7. Interesting read, more damning for VI in that he was appointed to a team that was in the playoffs and that he managed to derail it in a quite unbelievable fashion, even by our own standards. That run of defeats to Derby, Stoke and Cardiff when he first came in who I think were 3 of the bottom 4 at time will live long in the memory.
  8. Not really confident on a result but let’s be positive and go 2-1 Rovers with Gudjohnsen & Miroshita scoring. Personally think to get the best out of Gudjohnsen & Ohashi is to work on a system where they both play.
  9. Ohashi can at best be OK in that position. Have to give Gudjohnsen a chance to show if he can do better. If he can't then it's going to be a grim season. Well, I'm sure it will regardless, but even more grim.
  10. I do, as I’ve read both the article on Rovers website and the LT article. If you don’t and assuming you want to know, just log on.
  11. Their scrapping of JDT's project nearly got us relegated again, and Eustace departing midway through the season led to yet another playoff collapse. JDT also managed that in his first season thanks to the owners. Little reason to believe Mowbray wouldn't have achieved the same thing JDT or Eustace ultimately did - nothing. That's not a knock on either JDT or Eustace for the record, we'll always achieve nothing under these owners because they are poison
  12. Kargbo's rapidly turning into a waste of a signing. Anyone else get the impression VI doesn't rate him, same as Gueye?
  13. To be fair to Yuki I felt that he did more as the lone striker than Gudjohnsen on Saturday. He brought it down a few times but the gap between him and the midfield was enormous and he got no help. Not to say he was great, but as far as Rovers players in that game, for me he was one of the least bad. Hopefully the second, because he was one of the only ones trying to put a shift in at the weekend.
  14. Not really because JDT and JE had to operate under very different financial conditions than Mowbray had. Good old Tone might have struggled to keep us on an even keel under the same restrictions.
  15. I fear it's the other way round but I hope you're right.
  16. What's Wharton done to have deserved being dropped? Or are we just managing his minutes?
  17. If we lose tonight should the crowd sing happy birthday to VI ?
  18. A relief that Alebiosu starts. Hope we haven't rushed him back, mind. Thank god we've finally given up on the doomed Ohashi lone striker experiment. For now, anyway.
  19. Today
  20. Pointless from the owners perspective because they have no ambition, therefore it was a waste of time hiring JDT/Eustace and their staff. Might as well have kept Mowbray as the limit of their ambition is keeping us in the division.
  21. I found it a little concerning that they said they tried to get someone else to cover him on Saturday but the rota was set, they should not be even trying to bow to them. There is no world where the club doesn’t back down if the LT stay firm
  22. I think this does does exactly that. Come Saturday if it’s raining heavy again, and we're 2-0 down to Stoke, if I'm VI I'm telling my centre backs to go find a puddle and make sure a short pass sticks. Even if there's very few puddles and standing water on the pitch, it's mainly playable, I'd be pointing them to the one big one, and saying - 'Go splash around in that!' I.e. Shenanigans. If I know we're going to have to come back another day and start from 2-0 down, I wouldn't bother. What's the point. Might as well carry on and see if we can get the conditions to help us bag a goal and get back into it. I.e. No shenanigans. I actually can't see how coming back another day to play out a match can be used to someone's advantage, either side. Maybe if your team is knackered during gameplay and the rest might help. But the other side is going to be rested too.
