Will be Crawley’s 62nd cap, the ninth highest for a specialist opener in English history… with an average of 31 (31!), he’s one lucky fella to be part of this set up (and being a Kent lad helps). Just think of the top players that never got near the number of chances he’s had

But even then, surely they can see the decline of the club, identify the only constant during that time and work it out for themselves. -

Me too. My only source of optimism over the last few years has been their legal issues in India, hoping and praying that either a guilty finding or the restrictions placed on them would break them - that they would be unable to keep going and would have to sell it on or let it go. That hope is fading. It appears they have weathered the storm there. The only residual hope is that either the imminent relegation that they have created is enough of a blow (it wasn't the last two times they relegated us) or that a couple of years without any large player sales tips the balance. I'm not confident, but can hope. -

They're a quarter of a billion £ in the mud.. There must be an accountant in India banging their head against a wall wondering why they still own it too. -

I will be immensely surprised (though, oddly, relieved) if Venkys ever allowed the club to become bankrupt or go into administration. That would draw far too much attention. Any benefit Venkys are getting from owning this once great club is tied up within accounting considerations and/or avoiding revealing wrong-doing by someone/people. Because of this, I can't see them ever walking away, nor having the books taken and opened up through administration. I don't believe Venkys have any strategy beyond sustaining the status quo for the smallest outlay possible. And I am still unconvinced there is an identified protest strategy that will effectively address this unusual scenario. Combine this with some of the frankly depressing 'alternative views' and I honestly feel more hopeless about it all then ever before in the last 15 years. -

The main takeaway I get from that is that the recruitment team allegedly planned these signings to fit a specific plan and it took 8 games to realise none of them were capable of playing it. Even if we do make signings in January I have zero faith that they will be what we need. -

Let's think ahead for a little while here. Assume that a partial fans boycott has the desired effect, and the Rao family put the club up for sale. Who will be prepared to offer the Raos anything like the sum they are going to want? It is highly likely that, even if there is an individual/consortium/business that is prepared to meet the Raos' valuation, negotiations will drag on until late in the season at best. By which time the club is almost certainly going to be deep in the relegation zone with a real prospect of League 1 football for the 2026/7 season. In all honesty, I don't see this happening. More likely then that the best that can be hoped for is that a fans boycott pushes the club into bankruptcy, with the accompanying points deduction, relegation and disposal of assets (if any remain). Then we have to hope that someone picks the club up at rock bottom price from the receivers. Some will worry this could mean the end for their beloved club, others will see it as a chance for a rebirth. All will depend on whether someone with deep pockets and a passion for the club is prepared to step in and save it. Will it happen? I suspect nobody knows for sure. Depressing isn't it? -

Forgive my criticism of those still willing to protest but one thing that always irked me is why the protests shifted off the owners and on to pawns like Waggot, Pasha and Gestede. They're literally paid to be human shields and punching bags for the owners to deflect attention off them and people fall for it. I know the owners aren't present but it doesn't matter, they're the problem. People were putting banners around about these useless paid henchmen whilst the stadium is draped in Venkys signs everywhere you look. Back in the day we would have tried to cover up every single one and eradicate all reminder of them on match day. Now there's more signs than there are fans so I guess it doesn't matter anymore. The reminder of their ownership is everywhere at Ewood and another reason not go anymore. -

I think one of the problems is that there is a large group of fans who are unhappy at the owners but will only vent their fury when we're getting stuffed at Ewood Park. A win or two usually makes it simmer down again. It also makes dissent look like it's just down to poor results and not the bigger picture. -

I had it after the Sheff Weds game. I spoke to, or overheard, 3 people asking why the fans were singing for Venkys out when "They can't control the weather". I pointed out to one in the Fernhurst that they could have redone the pitch at any point in the last few years , then I had to shoot down the FFP reply and then he suddenly went "Oh, didn't know that". If you never came on here, or never went on X, and only ever read the LT and mainstream news sites, think about how little you would know compared to what we do know. I said it last month, but the only way I see a Vexit is Pasha leaving and them no longer having a trusted Crony in place and thinking ah sack it. This is more hassle. -

Honestly, what is it going to take for some of these people to see the reality of the situation. Venky's have dragged this club through the mud and yet there are still people out there that think everything is fine. I can't wrap my head around the idea that there are people out there that think Rovers are better off remaining under their disastrous ownership. It's got nothing to do with fans thinking that the club deserves to be in the prem because they won it once. Those days are long gone even if the club was run well, I think pretty much everyone understands that. I personally would take dropping down to League Two if it meant getting new and proper owners that care about the club. It saddens me deeply that there are supposed Rovers fans out there that think sticking with Venky's is the best option. -

Couple of weeks ago it was pretty unanimous on there post Sheff Wed that the club was in a Venky-induced hole. As was social media. The fanbase had moved. Now it’s flipped 180. Why? Because a lot of fans have this tribal thing where they think ‘loyalty to the club’ means to that organisation running the place, as of now - talking of official boycotts was always going to end this way. I’m afraid the Coalition have made a quite large strategic mistake. -

Under these owners, relegation is coming either this season or in the very near future. If Leicester City had anything whatsoever to play for on the final day of Eustace's first season we would be in League One right now. It won't be like it was under Mowbray. The stars aligned and we bounced back at the first time of asking. That's very unlikely to happen again and that will be the end of Blackburn Rovers as one of England's greatest clubs. We'll be in the lower divisions for a very, very long time. We'll be lucky to get the 6000 on that turned up for Oxford at home. At what point will these venky loyalists turn on them? Bottom of League one? Would genuinely like to know what the red line would be for some of these apologists and backers of the owners. -

All this reminds me why I refuse to buy a season ticket. I dread to think what they'll be next season 😂 The owners are pricks The management are pricks And a lot of the fans are too. I found this out pretty quickly when I started the protests back in 10/11. Fair play to those still turning up but it's like some bird you'll have it off with every now and again but not wife material... I'll buy a ticket here and there but certainly won't be buying a season ticket. I literally couldn't give a flying fuck if they get relegated. Just sell up and fuck off. -
